The article is devoted to the work of the automated information library system (AILS) βBibliobusβ, developed by specialists of the Library for Natural Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (LNS RAS). The purpose of this article is to acquaint readers of the journal with the specific features of the modern AILS βBibliobusβ that provides complex automation of the main technological processes on the βway of bookβ of non-periodicals received in the centralized library system (CLS) holdings of LNS RAS. The authors describe capability features and functions of the system, the rules of work with it, the user interface for performing work related to centralized acquisition, book registration and distribution of the incoming books between the CLS libraries, cataloguing, classifying, etc. The system has a number of features that distinguish it from most automated library systems. It is focused on the centralized library network; part of the information is entered in the Centre, part β interactively in the libraries of the network; all the accounting and financial documents required by the centralized system are generated automatically. The AILS βBibliobusβ widely uses the bar coding, it applies to all stages of publication processing on the βway of bookβ; the bar codes appear on all supporting documents and printed cards. When cataloguing the publications, bibliographer introduces in the main βwindowβ of system the bibliographic description in the format of State Standard GOST 7.1β2003 with some mark-ups, and in additional βwindowsβ β the maximum possible metadata, providing multi-aspect search of the publication in the catalogue; the search fields for e-catalogue are generated automatically. The AILS βBibliobusβ provides for the formation of multi-level records. Its database stores the images of scanned text pages displayed in the electronic catalogue; all operations are logged with the start and end time, which allowed building on its basis a powerful reference and statistical system. The system has a modern user interface that allows the operator to obtain multiple information on various aspects of technological operations.Π‘ΡΠ°ΡΡΡ ΠΏΠΎΡΠ²ΡΡΠ΅Π½Π° ΡΠ°Π±ΠΎΡΠ΅ Π°Π²ΡΠΎΠΌΠ°ΡΠΈΠ·ΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½Π½ΠΎΠΉ ΠΈΠ½ΡΠΎΡΠΌΠ°ΡΠΈΠΎΠ½Π½ΠΎ-Π±ΠΈΠ±Π»ΠΈΠΎΡΠ΅ΡΠ½ΠΎΠΉ ΡΠΈΡΡΠ΅ΠΌΡ (ΠΠΠΠ‘) Β«ΠΠΈΠ±Π»ΠΈΠΎΠ±ΡΡΒ», ΡΠ°Π·ΡΠ°Π±ΠΎΡΠ°Π½Π½ΠΎΠΉ ΡΠΏΠ΅ΡΠΈΠ°Π»ΠΈΡΡΠ°ΠΌΠΈ ΠΠΈΠ±Π»ΠΈΠΎΡΠ΅ΠΊΠΈ ΠΏΠΎ Π΅ΡΡΠ΅ΡΡΠ²Π΅Π½Π½ΡΠΌ Π½Π°ΡΠΊΠ°ΠΌ Π ΠΎΡΡΠΈΠΉΡΠΊΠΎΠΉ Π°ΠΊΠ°Π΄Π΅ΠΌΠΈΠΈ Π½Π°ΡΠΊ (ΠΠΠ Π ΠΠ). Status of Batch Infrastructures
This presentation will provide information on the status of the batchsystems at DESY Hamburg. This includes the clusters for GRID, HPCand local batch purposes showing the current state and theactivities for upcoming enhancements
English Version:On the occasion of his upcoming retirement, the author reports on his work at DESY over the past 35 years. He was involved in important developments in computing such as with the introduction of distributed computing under the Unix operating system. Initially, this only affected the accelerator control, then also desktop computing with graphics terminals and central printing. He also influenced social life at DESY e.g. about his engagement in the works council and in the Scientific Committee(WA). As part of the worldwide HEPiX workshops, he acquired an international reputation and set up Germany's first website. The lecture is very personal and entertaining and also mentions his musical activities. There are e.g. an audio CD "Rocket Science" by Tommy Blue, which supplements this lecture thematically
HTCondor - KRB integration: First experiments and plans at DESY
Local batch at DESY today is relying on afs $HOMEs heavily. For a transparent migration from SGE to HTCondor we want to make use of the Kerberos integration that is provided in terms of condor hooks in the current developer release of Condor. This talk will describe the tools we use to monitor and renew the kerberos tokensin our condor environment
DESY Features on Top of HTCondor
The talk provides some details of special DESY configurations. It focuses on features we need for userregistry integration, node maintenance operations and fair share / quota handling. With the help of job transformations defining job classes and proper job duration and memory setting,we setup a smooth and transparent operating model
Migration from Grid Engine to HTCondor
The migration of the local batch system BIRD required the adaptation of different properties like the Kerberos / AFS support, the automation of various operational tasks and the user and project access. The latter includes, inter alia, fairshare, accounting and resource access. For this, some newer features of HTCondor had to be used. We are close to the user release. Building common dynamic resources for local and grid-based batches is still in process. The talk provides some details about Kerberos support, authentication within the operating automation, job timing, and registry integration
