Acoustic investigations of Ga-Pb miscibility gap melts
The ultrasound velocity is measured in Ga-Pb melts from the monotectic temperature to 1100 K over the entire concentration range by a pulsed-phase method. Anomalies are detected in the temperature dependences of the ultrasound velocity near the critical point. The boundary of the miscibility gap is determined from the results of acoustic measurements. The miscibility gap temperatures measured by the acoustic method agree well with the reported data. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd
Quantum computing based on space states without charge transfer
An implementation of a quantum computer based on space states in double
quantum dots is discussed. There is no charge transfer in qubits during
calculation, therefore, uncontrollable entan-glement between them due to
long-range Coulomb interaction is suppressed. Other plausible sources of
decoherence caused by interaction with phonons and gates could be substantially
suppressed in the structure too. We also demonstrate how all necessary quantum
logic operations, initialization, writing, and read-out could be carried out in

Algebraic Model for scattering in three-s-cluster systems. I. Theoretical Background
A framework to calculate two-particle matrix elements for fully
antisymmetrized three-cluster configurations is presented. The theory is
developed for a scattering situation described in terms of the Algebraic Model.
This means that the nuclear many-particle state and its asymptotic behaviour
are expanded in terms of oscillator states of the intra-cluster coordinates.
The Generating Function technique is used to optimize the calculation of matrix
elements. In order to derive the dynamical equations, a multichannel version of
