Primary data collection was focused on identifying company goals and the company's stakeholder approach, defining stakeholders' typology, clarifying the quantitative indicators for stakeholders' requirements in each stakeholder group, and describing policies to resolve conflicts between the company and its stakeholders. Field research was evaluated with the Multi-criteria decision analysis method, specifically Analytic Hierarchy Process. The focus of the paper was to conduct an analysis of the selected qualitative and quantitative aspects of the labour market and the potential ability of the young generation to adapt to the new conditions of their prospective employment. The primary data were obtained in the form of a questionnaire survey. The total of 2,817 respondents were contacted via email containing a research hyperlink. The respondents were secondary school students studying in the Czech Republic. The obtained data were collected in Excel and further processed by statistical methods, the Pearson test using χ quadrate. The option of choosing several occupations was evaluated by means of the so-called professional specialisation index. Secondary data were used to determine the development of trends on the Czech labour market in the current conditions of the Industry 4.0 onset. The respondents most often chose occupations in the fields of technology, industry and construction out of the eleven occupational areas offered. More than a quarter of respondents chose their preferred profession in this area. This is a positive finding in terms of the focus of the economy on Industry 4.0. © 2021 University of Pardubice. Job security for most working population is crucial in ensuring living standards. The main goal of this article is to find out, based on the analysis of employment, unemployment, vacancies, and wages in various job categories in the Czech Republic between 2015 and 2022, which job groups are most prone to job insecurity and job loss. Data from the Information System on Average Earnings (ISPV) and MLSA portal were used to analyse the structure of job seekers and job vacancies and to establish employment and wages. Data were processed using descriptive statistical methods. An evaluation of the variance was performed among the selected variables. A t-test was used to measure differences in job security between the observed employment categories. The results show that higher-skilled worker requirements characterize the best job classes regarding job security and wages. On the other hand, the unstable job categories with high unemployment rates and low wage rates were support and unqualified jobs and service and sales jobs. A final important finding is that firms are creating jobs with low educational requirements, which may indicate stagnation in future job innovation.Tomas Bata University in Zlin [IGA/FaME/2022/007

Motivations underlying healthy dietary adoption intentions: Evidence from university students in the Czech Republic

    Get PDF
Encouraging people to adopt a healthy diet is believed to reduce the prevalence of obesity. However, a deeper understanding of consumers' psychology regarding healthy dieting is required for this intervention to be effective. To date, knowledge remains limited on the motivations preceding healthy dietary adoption among adult consumers in the Czech Republic, which is undoubtedly facing a high prevalence of obesity among other EU member states. Most importantly, few studies have modeled the food choice motives as primary antecedents of healthy dietary adoption intentions. Therefore, the current study proposes and tests a research model that explains the motivational factors for adopting healthy diets. Data were collected through an online survey involving 161 university students and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) procedures. The results reveal that food choice motives explain healthy dietary adoption intentions satisfactorily. Notably, the natural content and weight control motives positively and significantly affect healthy dietary adoption intentions. The study offers relevant contributions to the science of consumer motivation regarding healthy dieting and practical means to health promotion.Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně, UTB, (CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/19_073/0016941

Asymmetry of information between employers and high school graduates in Czech Republic's labour market

The labour market is an inevitable part of every market economy. Manifestations of imbalanced relations between the demand for work and its offers are a problem in each market-oriented society. Thus, the serious macroeconomic problem of unemployment arises, which is, to many governments and in several countries, a subject of solution. However, the solution to this problem has to start as early as the stage of the potential job applicant's education. The education structure of job applicants must be based on the needs of the specific economy because the economic structure fundamentally influences the demand for the labour force. In 2011, extended research was done on a segment of high school students throughout the Czech Republic. The results of the research show that, within the specified education level, students can show different approaches to work effort. From this point of view, the whole examined set, with the same level of education, can be divided into sample groups of employees with different approaches to work effort. This paper presents research on these sample groups and analyses characteristics of these sample groups. The results indicate that the education level can be misleading as a signal for employers. The asymmetry of information-when a potential employer is not provided with sufficient information about the school graduate's (job applicant's) access to work-can be a source of considerable failures in the labour market. In addition to the lack of graduates' practical experience, missing references in the graduate's access to work is the second most common reason companies dislike employing school graduates. These recent graduates then move from school directly into job centres' records of the unemployed. © Common Ground, Zuzana Dohnalová, All Rights Reserved

The Czech economy is traditionally focused on technical fields such as engineering, electronics, and automotive industries. Research among students in secondary schools and universities in the Czech Republic however, shows that future generations would choose another profession, according to the classification by Roe, than required by the job market.
