    The purpose of this study was to analyzed the role of peres fish and kale plants as a commodity enhancements to reduce levels of nitrogen and T-Phosfat from waste catfish, also to analyze the survival and biomass peres fish, catfish and kale plants. This research was conducted at Unit Pelayanan Teknis Balai Benih Ikan (UPT-BBI) Lukup Badak, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah Provinsi Aceh in October to November 2015. The method of this study was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD), with use 4 levels treatments and 3 repetitions, this study also uses regression and correlation analysis. The results showed that the kale plants and peres fish did not leave a role of influence to lower the value of Nitrogen and T-Phosfat from waste catfish, but it affects both the survival and growth (length and weight), both in peres fish, kale plants, as well as catfish. Water quality parameters in this study to the range of tolerance for fish farming Peres and catfish.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan ikan peres dan tanaman kangkung sebagai komoditas tambahan terhadap kadar Nitrogen dan T-Phosfat yang berasal dari limbah budidaya ikan lele, terkait dengan kelangsungan hidup dan biomassa ikan peres, ikan lele dan tanaman kangkung. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober hingga bulan November tahun 2015 di Unit Pelayanan Teknis Balai Benih Ikan (UPT-BBI) Lukup Badak, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah Provinsi Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), dengan menggunakan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan parameter kualitas air pada penelitian ini tergolong dalam kisaran toleransi untuk budidaya ikan peres dan ikan lele. Penambahan tanaman kangkung dan ikan peres tidak berpengaruh untuk menurunkan nilai Nitrogen dan T-Phosfat, namun berpengaruh baik terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan (panjang dan berat) pada ikan peres, lele dan tanaman kangkung

    The objective of this research was to determine lead content in oyster (C. cucullata) and in sea water in the coastal of Krueng Raya, Aceh Besar. This research was conducted on November, 2015. Lead content was analyzed using AAS at Laboratory of BARISTAND. The result showed that lead (Pb) was found in sea water at four stations. The higher Pb content was found at station II as 0.2429 mg/l, while the lower was at station III as 0.1701 mg/l. lead did not identified in oyster at all stations (0.05 mg/l)

    Variasi Pengaruh Penggunaan Limbah Kulit Kopi Arabika Terhadap Pertumbuhan Azolla Microphylla

    This research aimed to analyze the influence of the use of the Arabica coffee leather waste toward the growth of Azolla microphylla, and to know the best treatment on A. microphylla. This research was conducted in the UPT-BBI Lukup Badak, Aceh Tenggah. This study used a randomized complete design (RAL) consisting of 5 treatments, namely granting fertilizer A:0 g/m2, B:100 g/m2, C: 200 g/m2, D: 300 g/m2 and E: 400 g/m2 with 3 replicates. ANOVA test results showed that the granting of Arabica coffee leather waste fertilizer had significant effect toward the relative growth rate, increasing biomass, doubling time and a density of A. microphylla (p < 0.05). The relative growth rate, increasing biomass, doubling time, and the density of A. microphylla by granting the best Arabica coffee leather waste fertilizer can be found on the treatment E with dose 400 g/m2. Analysis of the highest protein content on A. microphylla can be found on granting treatment E namely 28.89% and lowest in treatment A namely 21.89% of dry weight

    Pengaruh Pemberian Pakan Yang Berbeda Terhadap Laju Pertumbuhan Rotifera (Brachionus Plicatilis)

    The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of the different feed on rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis) growth rate. The research was conducted at brackish water Aquaculture Development center, Ujung Batee. The research used the non factorial Completely Randomized Design with fine treatments of feed, nabely : Control (Nannocloropsis), 100 gof tempe, 100 g of shrimp paste, 50 g of tempe + 50 g of shrimp paste, 70 g of tempe + 30 g of shrimp paste with three replicatins. The Bioassay was 20 ind/ml of Brachions plicatilis. The result of ANOVA shomed that the different conposition of tempe and shrimp paste gave the significant effect (p < 0.05 )on the growth rate of rotifers. The best growth rate was obtained at treatment with 50 g of tempe + 50 g of shrimp paste.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian pakan yang berbeda terhadap laju pertumbuhan rotifera (Brachionus plicatilis). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap non faktorial dengan 5 taraf perlakuan berdasarkan pakan uji, yaitu kontrol (Nannocloropsis),tempe 100 g, terasi 100 g, tempe 50 g + terasi 50 g, tempe 70 g + terasi 30 g dengan tiga kali ulangan. Organisme uji yang digunakan adalah Brachionus plicatilis sebanyak 20 individu/ml. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukan bahwa variasi pemberian pakan terasi dan tempe tiap perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan rotifera.     The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the different manures as culture media on the growth and biomass Spirulina sp. This research was conducted from March to May 2016. This research used the one factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) as method with four treatments and five replications which is A = 100 g/l of chicken manure, B = 100 g/l of bird manure, C = 100 g/l of buffalo manure and D = 100 g/l of cow manure. The result of Analysis of Varians (ANOVA) showed that the different manures as culture media gave the effect (P<0,05) on the growth and biomass of Spirulina sp. The best treatment was obtained at treatment B (chicken manure) with the average of population density was 7,47 x 106 ind/ml and the average of biomass weight was 0,0506

    Hubungan Panjang Berat Ikan yang Tertangkap di Krueng Simpoe, Kabupaten Bireun, Aceh

    Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang hubungan panjang berat dan factor kondisi ikan yang ditemukan di Krueng Simpoe, Kabupaten Bireun, Aceh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untukmengetahui distribusi ukuran ikan dan menganalisis hubungan panjang berat ikan yang didapat di Krueng Simpoe. Ikan yang didapat yaitu ikan Rasbora sp dan Puntius brevis. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan November 2015, dengan menggunakan jarring dan jala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan Rasbora sp dan Puntius brevis memiliki pola pertumbuhan allometrik negatif. Selain itu, factor kondisi berat relative menunjukkan angka diatas 100. Faktor kondisi fulton perairan Krueng Simpoe mengindikasikan secara relatif dalam keadaan baik. Kata kunci : hubungan panjang berat, factor kondisi, allometrik The research is about the length weight relationships and condition factor of the freshwater fishes which were found in Simpoe River, Bireun, Aceh. The research purpose is to know the distribution of sizes fishes and to analyze length weight relationships fishes found in Simpoe River. The fishes are Rasbora sp and Puntius brevis. The sampling was conducted on November, 2015 by using net and castnet. The results revealed that Rasbora sp and Puntius brevis have allometric negative growth pattern. In addition, the relative weight condition factor's was over 100. And the Fulton's condition factor were not different significantly among fishes. It means that the Fulton's condition at Krueng Simpoe indicating good condition and well growth

    Pengaruh Ekstrak Daun Avicennia Marina Terhadap Daya Tetas Telur Ikan Lele Dumbo (Clarias Gariepinus)

    This research aimed to determine the effect of leaf extract of Avicennia marina on hatching rate of African catfish\u27s eggs (Clarias gariepinus). This research was conducted in the fish hatchery, BBI (Balai Benih Ikan) Lukup Badak, Pegasing district in regency of Central Aceh, on February 2016. This research used a completely randomized design with six treatments level and four replications. The samples used were African catfish\u27s eggs. Previously, the health fertilized eggs were infected by the infected eggs by Saprolegnia sp., Each compartment contained of 100 health fertilized eggs and 30 infected eggs. Furthermore, the eggs were immersed in the test solution of Avicenna marina leaf extract, with the concentration treatment: 0; 10; 20; 30; 40; and 50 ppm. The ANOVA test results showed that the addition of Avicenna marina leaf extract significantly effect on the hatching rate of African catfish\u27s eggs at the significant level of 95%. The further test results of Honestly Significant Difference Test indicated that the percentage of hatching rate of African catfish\u27s eggs were different between leaf extract treatments. The optimum concentration of Avicennia marina in this research was 50 ppm the hatching rate value was 92%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun Avicennia marina terhadap daya tetas telur ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus). Penelitian ini dilakukan di BBI (Balai Benih Ikan) Lukup Badak, Kec. Pegasing, Kab. Aceh Tengah, pada bulan Februari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam taraf perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Sampel yang digunakan adalah telur ikan lele dumbo. Telur sehat terlebih dahulu diinfeksikan dengan telur yang terserang jamur, setiap wadah perlakuan terdapat 100 butir telur sehat dan 30 butir telur terinfeksi. Selanjutnya telur ini direndam dalam larutan uji ekstrak daun A. marina, dengan perlakuan konsentrasi 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, dan 50 ppm. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak daun A. marina berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya tetas telur ikan lele dumbo pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil uji lanjut Beda Nyata Jujur menunjukkan bahwa persentase daya tetas telur ikan lele dumbo berbeda antar perlakuan. Konsentrasi optimum ekstrak daun A. marina pada penelitian ini adalah 50 ppm dengan menghasilkan daya tetas telur sebesar 92%

    Distribusi dan Kepadatan Kerang Darah (Anadara SP. ) Berdasarkan Tekstur Substrat di Perairan Ulee Lheue Banda Aceh

    This research to was carried out determine the distribution and density of shell (Anadara sp.) and its relations to the substrate texture at Ulee Lheue coastal Banda Aceh. This research was conducted on November 2016. The distribution was calculated using index Morisita. and The substrate texture was analyzed using a pipette method it was calculated using a triangular diagram Millar and organic material was the analyzed at the Laboratory Agriculture Faculty Syiah Kuala. It was obtained the texture of the the substrate at station I and III were sand argillaceous while the station II and IV in the form of sandy clay loam. three types of Anadara sp. Found in this study A. Granossa with the density ranged from 6-50 ind/m2, A. maculosa 3 - 43 ind/m2 and A. inflata 3-29 ind/m2 respectively. Keywords: Anadara, density, distribution, Ulee Lheue.
