Simultaneous Stereo Video Deblurring and Scene Flow Estimation
Videos for outdoor scene often show unpleasant blur effects due to the large
relative motion between the camera and the dynamic objects and large depth
variations. Existing works typically focus monocular video deblurring. In this
paper, we propose a novel approach to deblurring from stereo videos. In
particular, we exploit the piece-wise planar assumption about the scene and
leverage the scene flow information to deblur the image. Unlike the existing
approach [31] which used a pre-computed scene flow, we propose a single
framework to jointly estimate the scene flow and deblur the image, where the
motion cues from scene flow estimation and blur information could reinforce
each other, and produce superior results than the conventional scene flow
estimation or stereo deblurring methods. We evaluate our method extensively on
two available datasets and achieve significant improvement in flow estimation
and removing the blur effect over the state-of-the-art methods.Comment: Accepted to IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision and

Recent advances in multi-layer composite polymeric membranes for CO2 separation: A review
AbstractThe development of multilayer composite membranes for CO2 separation has gained increasing attention due to the desire for energy efficient technologies. Multilayer composite membranes have many advantages, including the possibility to optimize membrane materials independently by layers according to their different functions and to reduce the overall transport resistance by using ultrathin selective layers, and less limitations on the material mechanical properties and processability. A comprehensive review is required to capture details of the progresses that have already been achieved in developing multilayer composite membranes with improved CO2 separation performance in the past 15–20 years. In this review, various composite membrane preparation methods were compared, advances in composite membranes for CO2/CH4 separation, CO2/N2 and CO2/H2 separation were summarized with detailed data, and challenges facing for the CO2 separation using composite membranes, such as aging, plasticization and long-term stability, were discussed. Finally the perspectives and future research directions for composite membranes were presented
Heavy Metal Pollution in Surface Water of Linglong Gold Mining Area, China
AbstractThe concentrations and distribution patterns of lead, mercury, zinc, copper, chromium, arsenic, cadmium in surface water of Linglong deposit area were discussed. The result shows that the surface water of Linglong mining area is seriously polluted by mercury, zinc and cadmium, which of the concentration are higher than the III class of National Surface Water Quality Standard, and moderately polluted by chromium and arsenic, which of the concentration conforms to the III class national surface water quality standard, and light polluted by lead and copper, which of the concentration conforms to the II class national surface water quality standard. The concentration of heavy metals in the gold deposit areas depends upon the distance from the pollution source and scalar transport in rivulet flows, decreases along the flow direction. The concentration and distribution of heavy metal pollutants in surface water are dominated by the geochemical situation and the pollution source, but seriously affected by mining leachate and chemical wastewater discharge

Highly CO2-permeable membranes derived from a midblock-sulfonated multiblock polymer after submersion in water
To mitigate the effect of atmospheric CO2 on global climate change, gas separation materials that simultaneously exhibit high CO2 permeability and selectivity in gas mixtures must be developed. In this study, CO2 transport through midblock-sulfonated block polymer membranes prepared from four different solvents is investigated. The results presented here establish that membrane morphology and accompanying gas transport properties are sensitive to casting solvent and relative humidity. We likewise report an intriguing observation: submersion of these thermoplastic elastomeric membranes in liquid water, followed by drying prior to analysis, promotes not only a substantial change in membrane morphology, but also a significant improvement in both CO2 permeability and CO2/N2 selectivity. Measured CO2 permeability and CO2/N2 selectivity values of 482 Barrer and 57, respectively, surpass the Robeson upper bound, indicating that these nanostructured membranes constitute promising candidates for gas separation technologies aimed at CO2 capturepublishedVersio
Effects of exogenous glycine betaine on growth and development of tomato seedlings under cold stress
Low temperature is a type of abiotic stress affecting the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) growth. Understanding the mechanisms and utilization of exogenous substances underlying plant tolerance to cold stress would lay the foundation for improving temperature resilience in this important crop. Our study is aiming to investigate the effect of exogenous glycine betaine (GB) on tomato seedlings to increase tolerance to low temperatures. By treating tomato seedlings with exogenous GB under low temperature stress, we found that 30 mmol/L exogenous GB can significantly improve the cold tolerance of tomato seedlings. Exogenous GB can influence the enzyme activity of antioxidant defense system and ROS levels in tomato leaves. The seedlings with GB treatment presented higher Fv/Fm value and photochemical activity under cold stress compared with the control. Moreover, analysis of high-throughput plant phenotyping of tomato seedlings also supported that exogenous GB can protect the photosynthetic system of tomato seedlings under cold stress. In addition, we proved that exogenous GB significantly increased the content of endogenous abscisic acid (ABA) and decreased endogenous gibberellin (GA) levels, which protected tomatoes from low temperatures. Meanwhile, transcriptional analysis showed that GB regulated the expression of genes involved in antioxidant capacity, calcium signaling, photosynthesis activity, energy metabolism-related and low temperature pathway-related genes in tomato plants. In conclusion, our findings indicated that exogenous GB, as a cryoprotectant, can enhance plant tolerance to low temperature by improving the antioxidant system, photosynthetic system, hormone signaling, and cold response pathway and so on
