PRICE OF GRAIN MAIZE AT THE LEVEL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION (2016-2018)

The paper highlights the evolution of the price of grain corn for members of the European Union. The analysed time interval is 2016-2018, emphasizing the short-term price evolution. The price is presented and analysed in the context of the specific conditions of cultivation, for the 28 component states of the European Union, starting from the differences related to climatic factors, the degree of development, capitalization and subsidization of agricultural production. The trading price registered a national multiannual average of 175.22 $/t, with extreme values of 131.90$/t for Croatia (2016) and 251.50 $/t for Greece (2018 - total variation amplitude of 11.96$/t)

THE USE OF AGRICULTURAL LAND IN VÂLCEA COUNTY (2009-2011)

The land represents land capital. CONSIDERATIONS RELATING TO INTERNATIONAL TRADE WITH CORN (2009 - 2011)

Starting from the importance of maize crop (food, industrial, fodder, agricultural technology and technological, export, etc.) and the size of cultivation of this plant worldwide, it was considered interesting a topic related to international trade of this product.Presenting the essential aspects of the phenomenon of international trade, corn for are materialized the by highlighting - quantity and value - of imports and exports. Data collected mentions both global levels, continental and national relevant phenomena.Unfortunately the work could not capture the qualitative aspects, nor those related to the existence of genetically modified organisms, mainly due to lack of space for spreading study, but also because of the high complexity of observations to be achieved

PRIMARY OFFER OF OIL SEEDS IN DOLJ COUNTY (2014-2016)

Through its content, the work refers to the main oily plants grown in Dolj County for the analyzed interval (2014-2016).          Within the total surface area of 90,288 ha oily plants, sunflower (30.06%) predominates, followed by rapeseed at a large distance (14.67%). The county has a total production of 173,802 t oily seeds, to which the most contributed were: sunflower (79.65% - less weight than the surface), followed by rape (18.57% - bigger than in the case of the surface), the rest of the crops, not even having the percentage of 2%. The average yield has a general level of 1.925 kg / ha, over which there are exceedances of rapeseed and soybeans, as well as lower levels in other oily plants, oil liner and sunflower respectively (in the latter case the level is close to the average county)

SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON CEREALS PRODUCTION IN THE COUNTY OF DOLJ (2014-2016)

The paper refers to cereal crops cultivated in Dolj county during the 2014-2016 period, of which individualize: wheat and rye, barley and two row barley, oats, grain maize, sorghum and "other cereals". Within the total county surface of 317.841 ha, wheat and rye predominate, grain maize (weights of 58.14 and 30.06% respectively), followed at an appreciable distance of barley and two row barley (weight of 8.54%).The county has a total production of 1,109,568.67 tons of grain, to which the most contributed were the wheat and rye (54.17% - less weight than the surface), the grain maize (34.86% - the weight larger than the surface) respectively barley and two row barley (8.40% - less weight than the cultivated area).Compared with the average production (general level) of 3,488 kg / ha, there are exceedances of "other cereals" and grain maize, as well as lower levels of barley and wheat, wheat and rye, oats and sorghum respectively

ROMANIAN AVAILABILITY OF SUNFLOWER OIL IN REGIONAL AND GLOBAL CONTEXT (2009-2011)

Sunflower oil is one of the foods with beneficial properties to the body, so it is used all over the world. This is an indisputable source of folic acid, magnesium and tryptophan. It has been scientifically proven that sunflower oil contains certain essential fatty acids for the body. Cold-pressed sunflower oil is very rich in vitamin E, being considered an important source of protection for the arteries and the heart.In general, the conventional oil production process comprises the following main operations: the reception of raw materials; storage of raw materials; seed cleaning; drying of oilseeds; shelling; grinding; roasting; pressing; solvent extraction; refining.Food consumption is differentiated according to the differences in the level of development of countries, namely poor, developing and rich countries.For the EU food security strategy, four important elements can be structured: the rules on food safety and animal feed; independent scientific information available to the public; action to strengthen rules and process control; recognition of the consumer's right to choose, based on complete food information, where it comes from and what it contains. Food security does not mean food uniformity. The food safety system is common to all EU countries, but it allows for the diversity of production methods and national specifics

ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF ACTIVITY AT FOREST DISTRICT CARACAL

Forest is a component of the environment, without which human life and not only can not be conceived, serving as its conservation and improvement.Knowledge and characterization of national forest is performed using a system of indicators, including: size of land; the species composition of forests; age class structure of forests; treatment regimes applied in household forests; production and productivity of forests; existing reserve foot timber; availability forests. By their nature, the forests have many functions with direct and indirect implications social and economic life of man. To better understand how the manifestation of forest functions, these (forests) were systematized into two groups. The first group includes social functions of forests with protection of water, soil, climate and the objectives of national forests for recreation, forest protection and ecofundgenofund, forests and natural monuments and reservations. In the second group are the forests with production functions and protection that aims to achieve mainly the wood of superior quality and other forest products and protecting environmental quality
