    Effectiveness Extending Concept Through Language Activities (ECOLA) Method in Learning Editing Student Scientific Articles

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the ECOLA method on the ability to edit scientific articles of students. The method used in this research is the expriment method. This method is used to examine the possibility of a causal relationship, by exposing one or more experimental groups and one or more experimental conditions. The design used in this study is the pretest posttest control group design. This research was conducted at the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Faculty of Language and Art, Jakarta State University. In this study, the independent variable is the ECOLA learning method and the dependent variable is the ability to edit scientific articles. Based on the research results it is known that there is an effective ECOLA method used to improve the ability to edit scientific articles of students. Keywords: ECOLA methods, editing skills, scientific articles   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode ECOLA terhadap kemampuan menyunting artikel ilmiah mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode exprimen. Metode ini digunakan untuk meneliti kemungkinan hubungan sebab akibat, dengan cara mengekspos satu atau lebih kelompok eksperimental dan satu atau lebih kondisi ekperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Dalam penelitian ini, variabel bebas berupa metode pembelajaran ECOLA dan variabel terikatnya adalah kemampuan menyunting artikel ilmiah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui terdapat metode ECOLA efektif digunakanuntukl meningkatkan kemampuan menyunting artikel ilmiah mahasiswa.   Kata kunci: metode ECOLA, kemampuan menyunting, artikel ilmia

    The Form of Arguments Using Argument Reconstruction in Online Media Articles

    This research aimed to identify the form of arguments in online media articles using argument reconstruction. The data were argumentative texts written in online media article in 2017 in www.hipwee.com, malesbanget.com, and www.idntimes.com. The data studied were 44 paragraphs consisting of 150 sentences. The approach used was qualitative approach by using content analysis method. This research used the triangulation technique (combination). The simultaneous data collection was coupled with data credibility tests with various data collection techniques and sources. Meanwhile, means of documentation and content analysis techniques were done to collect the data. The results indicate that the often used reasonings in online media articles are the generalization in 11 paragraphs and categorical syllogism in 28 paragraphs. The results of this research can be used to find out and develop ways of writing online media articles for writers and readers of online media articles

    Hubungan antara Kegiatan Literasi dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa di SMP Negeri 107 Jakarta

    Pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) telah bergulir selama lima tahun sehingga program ini perlu dievaluasi keberhasilannya di ranah satuan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kegiatan literasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 107 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII dan kelas IX berjumlah 216 orang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah penyebaran kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh kegiatan literasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMP Negeri 107 Jakarta. Kegiatan literasi yang telah berjalan juga kurang efektif karena 1) siswa terlalu berfokus pada kegiatan merangkum daripada memahami bacaan, 2) tidak semua guru melakukan kegiatan tindak lanjut berupa tanggapan secara lisan dan tulisan, 3) tidak semua siswa memiliki kemampuan menggunakan strategi membaca, 4) tidak semua siswa menggunakan strategi membaca untuk memahami teks, dan 5) jumlah siswa yang menggunakan sumber nonpelajaran untuk memperkaya pengetahuan dalam mata pelajaran belum terlalu banyak

    Peningkatan Keterampilan Membaca Bahasa Arab melalui Teknik Look And Say (Penelitian Tindakan Siswa Kelas IV Sdit Segar Amanah)

      This research aims to improve the Arabic reading skills of fourth grade of SDIT Segar Amanah students through the Look and Say technique. The subjects of this research were 32 students of fourth grade SDIT Segar Amanah. This research used a Classroom Action Research method with a model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consisted of planning, acting and observing, and reflecting throughout 2 cycles. The data was collected using test and observation guidelines for teaching and learning activities and observation guidelines for teacher and student. This research shows that the Look .and Say technique can improve students' reading skills in Arabic with the difference in the results of the pre-test, post-test cycle 1 and post-test cycle 2 with the class average score in the pre-test is 49.5.  Then the average score results in the post test cycle 1 was 67.2 and the result of the class average score in the post-test 2 was 78.3.     This study aimed to determine the teacher's ability to make lesson plans based on the teacher's pedagogic Knowledge and implement integrative holistic learning. This study used a descriptive method by using a questionnaire on 30 Kindergarten teachers in the city of Serang. Early childhood is the most critical age in children's growth and development. The role of a teacher is needed in order to support the children. Children need stimulation for growing and development. In order to have close interaction and exemplary implementation, a teacher is needed to have great potential, such as the best standard of knowledge quality. Pedagogic Knowledge of teachers is one of support for implementing a holistic and integrative approach in arrangement programs to the early childhood education. The population is selected to be teacher majoring in childhood education who has qualified for the degree. The sample is taken from 30 teachers.     This research aims to investigate the influence of intructional models and critical thinking ability toward reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students at MDT Shibyanul Muslimin Jakarta. This research is quantitative research using design treatment by level 2x2. The instrumen used to assess students critical thingking's ability is in quentionnaire form, while the instrument used to assess student's reading understanding ability in Arabic language is in the multiple choice form. The result of the research show that: (1) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are higher than those reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcomes of students using cooperative learning tipe NHT models, (2) there is interaction effect between learning model and critical thinking on reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students, (3) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students who has high critical thinking and using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are higher than students using cooperative learing tipe NHT model, (4) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students who has critical thinking and using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are lower than students using the cooperative learning tipe NHT models

    Novel Gornathoh karya Radwa Ashour memaparkan tentang konflik antar penguasa yang menjajah negeri Granada dan otoritas Castile memerintahkan untuk memeluk agama Katolik dan meninggalkan bahasa Arab yang digantikan menggunakan bahasa Castile, yang diulas menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah representasi tingkah laku kepribadian diri nyata dan diri ideal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan content analysis. Uji validasi data menggunakan triangulasi data, teori, dan metode. Hasil penelitian ini tokoh Salemah ditemukan kepribadian diri nyata sebanyak 3 temuan, kepribadian diri ideal sebanyak 9 temuan. Kepribadian yang mendominasi tokoh Salemah adalah diri ideal. Tokoh Hasan ditemukan kepribadian diri nyata sebanyak 8 temuan, kepribadian diri ideal sebanyak 7 temuan. Kepribadian tokoh Hasan adalah kepribadian yang seimbang antara diri nyata dengan diri ideal. Tokoh Saad ditemukan kepribadian diri nyata sebanyak 16 temuan, kepribadian diri ideal sebanyak 6 temuan. Kepribadian tokoh Saad adalah kepribadian diri nyata. Tokoh Naem ditemukan kepribadian diri nyata sebanyak 8 temuan, kepribadian diri ideal sebanyak 13 temuan. Kepribadian tokoh Naem adalah kepribadian yang mendominasi diri ideal.     The purpose of this research is to broaden the understanding of the study of language analysis used in da'wah communication, to provide an overview and knowledge of forms of da'wah communication language that can be applied in everyday life and can be used as an example of qualitative research, especially content analysis. This study uses a content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique is done by content analysis. The results showed that the form of da'wah communication style in terms of the End aspect in the lectures delivered by Syekh Sulaiman bin Salimullah Ar Ruhaily found as many as 26 utterances. The form of da'wah communication style in terms of the Act Sequences aspect was found to be 44 utterances. The form of da'wah communication style in terms of genre aspects was found as many as 29 utterance
