    Abstract This research aimed to describe students' misconceptions on the subject of Pythagorean theorem before and after being resolved using cognitive conflict strategies in SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The method used is a qualitative descriptive with the form of a case study. The subjects in this research is 6 students from grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak in the academic year 2019/2020. While the data technique used is a test technique with a instrument in the form of a diagnostic test. The misconceptions revealed by the researchers based on the pre-test results were errors in using the term italic, using formulas that were not in accordance with the information in the questions, wrong in determining the conditions for the application of the Pythagorean theorem, errors in completing exponent calculations, and errors in determining the conditions for the formation of acute or obtuse triangles. . Based on the results of research and data analysis in this research, it is shown that cognitive conflict can overcome students' misconceptions on the subject of the Pythagorean theorem which can be seen in the student post-test results that show the application of concepts and the application of proper procedures in solving questions.     EFEKTIVITAS PENDEKATAN PROBLEM POSING PADA MATERI BARISAN DAN DERET ARITMATIKA DI SMK

    AbstractThis research aimed to know the effectiveness of applying problem posing approach in learning arithmetic sequence and series topic at class XI SMK. The research method used was pre-experimental method with one-shot case study design. The aspect to determine the effectiveness of the problem posing approach were teacher’s class management, student’s activity, student’s outcomes and student’s respond. Data collection tools used are student’s outcomes test which contains 4 essay, student’s respond questionnaire sheet and the observation sheet for teacher’s class management and student’s activity. The result of the descriptive analysis carried out were teacher’s class management categorized good (3,11), student’s activity categorized active (65,59%), student’s completeness not fulfilled classically (only 23 students or 66,97% of students can fulfill the standard completeness) and student’s respond categorized good (64%). Because there was one aspect that not fulfilled, so the applying of problem posing approach in learning arithmetic sequence and series at class XI SMK was not effective. Keywords: Arithmetic Sequence and Series, Effectiveness, Problem Posing Approach.

    ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN PESERTA DIDIK PADA KONSEP LOGARITMA BERDASARKAN TEORI APOS DI MAN 2 PONTIANAK

    AbstractMany students have difficulty in understanding the topic of the logarithm. The difficulties learners in understanding the logarithm can be anticipated by understanding how learners build logarithmic concept in their minds. The method of this research is qualitative, descriptive based on the theory of APOS. The results of this research show that on the learners with an understanding of the stages of action determines the value of the logarithm by means of guesses and limited to determining the value of the logarithm of the simple integer only. Learners with an understanding of the stages of the process can determine the logarithm of the number 1 as a result of action interiorisasi to guess. Learners with an understanding of the stage object has been able to sum, subtracting, dividing and multiplying the logarithm, but does not yet have an understanding of the whole of the definition of the logarithm.     AbstractThe problem of this research was students’ learning outcomes of SMPN 1 Sungai Raya that below than the standard score,especially in probability topic. This research aimed to know the effect of cooperative learning model with group investigation type on students’ learning outcomes in probability topic. The form of this research was experiment and research design was post test only control group design. The samples of this research were 31 students of IX I class and 30 students of IX K class of SMPN 1 Sungai Raya.Essay questions was used to collecting the students’ learning outcomes. The result of this research showed that the average of posttest score of the experiment class was 12,63 and the average of posttest score of the control class was 10,97. Hypothesis was tested using U Mann-Whitney test showed that the result of Sig <  , is 0,039 < 0,05. The H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, because sig < . It could be concluded that there was significant result of students’ learning outcomes between students had been given treatment using cooperative learning model with group investigations type and students had been given direct teaching model in probability topic. Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation,  Learning Outcomes, Mathematics

    AbstractThis research was aimed to know and describe  the effectiveness of contextual approach in the algebraic expression topic at Class VII MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. The aspects that want to be know and describe are the implementation of the learning process, student’s learning activites, and student’s outcomes. The research method is descriptive method. The research subject is student in class VII E. Base on the data analysis from three aspects are: (1) the implementation of the learning process categorized good with average score 3,45; (2) student’s learning activities categorized active (69,21%); (3) students’s outcomes is not reached classical completeness with only 69,44% of student can achieve the minimum completeness criteria. Because only two out of three aspects that achieved, the coclusion of this research is the implementation of contextual approach less effective in the algebraic expression topic at class VII E MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak.    Keywords: Contextual Approach, Implementation of Learning Process, Learning Activities, and learning outcome’

    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH BERBANTUAN GEOGEBRA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATERI PRISMA DI SMP

    AbstractThis research aim to knowing and describe the results of students learning who take learning problem based learning model through geogebra media with who follow problem based learning model through whiteboard in the material surfice area and volume prism as well as to the contribution of media use geogebra on towards student’s study results in the material surfice area and volume prism. The form of this research was a quasy experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this research are VIII B as experiment class and VIII C as control class. The average learning outcomes of students in experiment class is 12,79, while the average learning outcomes of students in control class is 11,24. Based on the U Mann-Whitney test with significance 0,05 indicated there were differences between problem based learning model through geogebra media with who follow problem based learning model through whiteboard in the material surfice area and volume prism. The value of effect size is 0,52 with moderate category. This suggests that the role of media GeoGebra considerable influence on towards studenst’s study results in prism material.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, GeoGebra Media, Student’s Study Result

    Misconception and scientific attitude of teacher towards elementary school geometry assessed from information technology transformation

    There is a misconception about elementary school geometry material that makes the teacher's scientific attitude in implementing learning in the classroom still not optimal and causes the application of IT transformation to be uneven. This research aims to describe the misconceptions about geometry among elementary school teachers, the scientific attitudes of elementary school teachers in the process of learning geometry, and how elementary school teachers overcome misconceptions and optimize scientific attitudes learned from the role of IT. The subjects of this study were 171 teachers from 18 districts and cities. The research was conducted in a descriptive qualitative form by giving questionnaires about elementary school geometry concepts and teachers' scientific attitudes toward learning, analyzing answers according to criteria, and exploring the relationship between misconceptions and scientific attitudes learned from IT transformation. The results of this study indicate that conceptual errors were found in the research subjects, which included generalization and specialization misconceptions; the teacher's scientific attitude influences the misconceptions experienced; and the role of IT can help calculate and visualize abstract things in learning. The application of IT in the learning process shows good results for overcoming teachers' misconceptions and scientific attitudes, and of course, it can be an option for teachers to be able to apply it with various IT-based learning media that attract students' learning interests

    ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR ANAK AUTIS PADA MATERI PENJUMLAHAN DAN PENGURANGAN BILANGAN CACAH SMPLB PONTIANAK

    AbstractThis research wants to look at learning difficulties and the cause of learning difficulties for autistic chidren in the addition and subtraction of whole number in SMPLB Bina Anak Bangsa Pontianak. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Subject in this research were 3 out of 5 children with class IX SMPLB Bina Anak Bangsa Pontianak selected based on test results. The object of this research is the learning difficulties experienced by children with autism. Data collection techniques using observation, written tests and interviews. Data collection tools such as observation sheets, learning outcomes tests and interview guidelines to explore deeper the difficulties and causes of learning difficulties for autistic children. The results showed the learning difficulties of autistic children who appeared in mathematics learning the addition and subtraction of whole numbers 1) difficulty in the concept of the addition of identities, 2) difficulty in the concept of subtraction using the countdown method, 3) difficulties in using borrowing methods in reduction operations, 4) difficulty in understanding questions in the form of stories. The cause of learning difficulties in learning mathematics is the addition and subtraction of whole numbers 1) the lack of variations of housing questions given, 2) the lack of practice questions in the borrowing method, 3) the story problems in the learning of the addition of enumeration numbers are less relevant, and 4) the teacher gives a less varied practice of story questions. Keywords: Alphabetic Order, Bold, Capitalize Each Word, Font 11
