In this research, the relationship between human beings and the environment is analyzed from the problem that arises from the lack of interest of human beings in the preservation of species and the care of ecosystems, under the situation that continues today with the excessive use of the resources that nature provides, one of the main reasons being the lack of knowledge of their importance. In order to make an educational contribution, the study of some species of local flora and fauna is proposed in order to capture the biodiversity of the area through experiential workshops so that students know it and take ownership, becoming agents of change. against caring for the environment. For the educational proposal, three phases were proposed that seek to promote the conservation of the local natural environment and manage environmental responsibility. In the first phase, training was carried out related to the installation and operation of camera traps as a strategy to identify part of the fauna. of the school forest, this with the purpose of encouraging the investigative processes of the sixth grade students, for the second phase a visit to the forest was carried out with the purpose of getting the students closer to the natural environment through the application of an experiential workshop where some biotic factors were recognized and the strategic installation of camera traps in two trees was carried out, evidencing positive attitudes on the part of the students. The third phase is made up of two experiential workshops whose objective is to promote a sense of ecological and environmental belonging to provide continuity to the previous phases
