    Pengukuran Jarak Foramen Mental terhadap Inferior Body Mandibula Lakilaki Suku Jawa berdasarkan Usia melalui Radiografi Panoramik

    Background: Measurement the distance of mental foramen to the inferior body of the mandible has been done in various countries and studied from various types of races, ages and sexes. However, such measurements have not been done in Indonesia, prompting the authors to examine the mental foramen within the mandible body inferior in male, especially in the Javanese based on age. Purpose: Knowing the distance of mental foramen to the inferior body of the mandible in male Javanese ethnic through panoramic radiography to assist the interpretation of anatomical landmarks in radiology forensics. Methods: 54 radiograph panoramic of the male mandible Javanese ethnic and 18 samples obtained 25-34 years old, 18 samples of aged 35-44 years old and 18 samples of aged >45 years. Then the entire sample was measured the distance of mental foramen to the inferior body of the mandible. Data were analyzed using a One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Repeated Measure Anova and Paired t-test. Result: The value of the average distance of mental foramen to the inferior body of the mandible in male on age 25-34 years, age 35-44 years and age > 45 years were 17,87 mm, 17,63 mm and 16,27 mm.
