E-learning system of UCOM for improving student assessment feedback in Oman higher education

This paper focused on the improvement of student’s assessment feedback and learning satisfaction in the higher education institutions in Oman using the Elearning system of University Communication Model (UCOM). During the study, an E-learning model was conceptualized using coursework program instruction, testing academic performance, faculty experience, and assessment method as the determinants. The aim of this work is to develop a ‘University Communication (UCOM) model for improving the student’s assessment method and evaluating their academic performance. In the first phase of this study, a systematic review of the existing literature was carried out to determine the suitable quantitative and qualitative criteria of feature selection, like student satisfaction and degree of learning. The next phase involved the generation of an E-learning model for assessing the feedback and approval processes. The final step is the design of the evaluation forms that can measure the satisfaction of the technology and enhance the assessment method. In this study, surveys were distributed to the students of Al-Buraimi University College (BUC), Oman, to assess their level of satisfaction in using a UCOM model which served as a link between them and the University. The results were tested for accuracy, reliability, and validity using smart PLS. The findings of this paper assisted positively in four of the deployed factors and approved the capability of the developed model in improving student’s assessment feedback using E-learning

Implementing a Mobile Application News Tool for Disseminating Messages and Events of AlBuraimi University College

Technology is developing and changing in every moment that all domains are patchy without it. Our research utilizes the current trends and technology to design and develop a mobile application for the all members of the college. The students are the fundamental members in the college and they are our targets. Mobile notification system is an emerging technology, which influence in solving various dimensions of life. The college announcements and events are disseminated to students and staff through circulars, notice boards, emails, etc. Our research was to employ mobile affinity of especially students who ignore the circulars and notifications in notice board. The tool may be installed from play store mobile. The tool supports the widely used mobile operating system like android and iphone. This tool helps and provides a flexible way for communication. It list all events and news at AlBuraimi University College (BUC) like announcement of training courses and scientific workshop or classes cancel and others events. It also helps in easy access of college portal for both students and staff. The evaluation held finds positive response towards the need of this mobile application. The result shows the interest and satisfaction of users with BUC NEWS mobile application too

Student Assessment Feedback Effectiveness Model for Enhancing Teaching Method and Developing Academic Performance

There is a need for several applications and technologies in the higher education institutions in Oman to improve faculty-student performance. This exploratory study investigates whetherintegrating student assessment feedback with e-learning through coursework program of full semester instruction may simultaneously enhance and develop academic performance. In the first phase, a systematic review of the existing literature was carried out to determine the suitable related e-learning articles; then, generate a model of e-learning designed with evaluation forms that can measure the suitability of the technology, for assessment issues. In this study, surveys were distributed to BUC College in Oman to assess their satisfaction. The findings of this article aid in the improvement of the teaching method environment, assessment mechanisms, and student learning outcomes

The Current Perceptions About Instructional Tools in Educational Towards Adoption of Virtual Reality Among Undergraduate Students

Virtual reality (VR) has emerged as a major tool in this field of research and education development. However, many challenges arise for students during the course of instruction and learning. The learning process, the placement of support assessment variables, and the behavioral intention to continue using it within the learning spectrum are crucial to the success of virtual reality in the educational sector. The goals of this study are to inquire into the degree to which VR is now being utilized in the field of education. In addition, Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data since it provided an applicable approach to use across the interviews, many methods combined into this study.
