    Poems With Yuf Redif in Turkish Classical Literature as an Example of Social Criticism

    In Turkish Classical Literature which has its own particular aesthetic properties, the aim of art takes the most important place. Having these aspects, this literature which was accepted for centuries by the society in which it was realised has been criticised from Tanzimat until present for being alienated from social life. Despite the generally accepted sense of art Divan poets expressed in their work the social matters which take place in the society they live. As an example of this it seems that this literature which has the poems of yuf redif having social criticism is not completely far from social matters

The most essential characteristic of Müracâ'a poem is that it is composed in plain language and in dialogue. In these poems composed in narration style, the understanding of beauty and love is expressed with the type of lover that divan poets esteem via mutual conversation between two people who love each other

    Classical Turkish literature is mainly poetry dominant literature. Among the poetry style gazel is primarily important. Among the gazel style which developed many variations in time common gazels which were composed by two or three poets attract the attention. The first examples of common gazels given by Nabi and Abdi were respected by the 19th century poets. In this century one of the poets which composed common gazels most is Süleyman Senih. Common gazels reflect literary circles in which they are composed, the interactions and connections among poets and many other essential issues. From this point of view, common gazels are vital literary texts for the history of Turkish literature
