Conocimiento de contenido de profesores : el experimento pensado de caída libre de Galileo

Estudios sobre conocimiento profesional de docentes de ciencias sugieren poca integración entre las dimensiones cognitivas, didácticas y epistemológicas que constituyen el conocimiento de contenido. El propósito de este trabajo es indagar qué dimensiones se pueden estudiar de manera integrada, empleando un experimento pensado como instrumento metodológico. Mediante entrevista de pensar en voz alta se realizó una investigación cualitativa con tres profesores de Física del nivel secundario, utilizando el experimento de Galileo sobre la caída de cuerpos. Encontramos que es posible estudiar las dimensiones cognitiva y epistemológica. Señalamos algunas dificultades de los profesores con procesos para imaginar la situación y experimentar con el pensamiento. Concluimos que la falta de integración sugerida en otros estudios es de tipo metodológico y no ontológico.Studies on science teachers' professional knowledge suggest little or no integration between the dimensions that constitute content knowledge (e.g., cognitive, didactic, and epistemological). In this paper, we investigate which integrated dimensions we can study through a thought experiment. We carried out qualitative research with three physics secondary teachers and conducted a think-aloud interview using Galileo Galilei's free-fall thought experiment as an instrument. We find that it is possible to study the cognitive and epistemological dimensions of content knowledge. We point out some difficulties of teachers with processes to imagine the situation and experiment in thought. We conclude that the suggested lack of integration of the content knowledge dimensions in other studies is methodological and not ontological
