La Farmacovigilancia

La función del regente de farmacia no se centra en la venta o dispensación del medicamento, sino que comporta un conocimiento científico y biológico profundo no solo respecto a las fórmulas y composiciones de los medicamentos, sino además frente a sus efectos en el ser humano, incluyendo efectos secundarios, reacciones adversas y otros efectos que sean de relevancia científica, por lo cual se puede afirmar entonces que la regencia de farmacia apunta a una cualificación del dispensador de los medicamentos para que se constituya como primer enlace entre el consumidor final con los fabricantes y desarrolladores. Por lo anterior, el presente trabajo analiza el rol, las funciones y deberes del regente de farmacia en el ejercicio de su quehacer profesional a partir de la identificación de riesgos y con esto, del catálogo de deberes que se deben asumir en pro del ejercicio ético y consciente de la profesión, en aras de no abogar por una reflexión seria y consciente sobre lo que implica ser regente de farmacia y lo que implica ello en la conservación de la salud, la dignidad del ser humano y la vida misma en condiciones de dignidad. Para tal efecto, se ha ejecutado entonces un rastreo bibliográfico de corte documental, donde se apeló a diversas fuentes de respaldo científico y credibilidad, donde se observan las consideraciones, funciones y aspectos esenciales a tener en cuenta como pilares de la regencia de farmacia no solo desde el componente del saber científico teórico, sino además desde cuestiones como la ética y el deber de proyección social y de cuidado con las personas. Lo anterior permite entonces ofrecer al lector, un catálogo de normas, principios y procedimientos sobre los cuales ha de regirse la regencia de farmacia en su práctica cotidiana, que de seguirse adecuadamente permitirá la materialización de los fines de la Regencia de Farmacia como área del conocimiento y la conservación de la buena salud a partir del análisis, protección, prevención y atención de las situaciones derivadas de la administración e implementación de medicamentos en procesos terapéuticos.The role of the pharmacy manager does not focus on the sale or dispensing of the drug, but involves a Deep scientific and biological knowledge not only regarding the formulas and compositions of drugs, but also regarding their effects on humans, including side effects, adverse reactions and other effects that are of scientific relevance, for which it can be affirmed: the pharmacy regency aims to qualify the dispenser of the medicines so that it becomes the first link between the final consumer with the manufacturers and developers. Therefore, this work analyzes the role, functions and duties of the pharmacy manager in the exercise of this professional role from identification of risks and with this, the catalog of duties that must be assumed in favor of the exercise ethical and aware of the profession, in order not to advocate a serious and conscious reflection on what it means to be a pharmacy manager and what this implies in the preservation of health, the dignity of the human being and life itself under conditions of dignity. For this purpose, a documentary bibliographic search has been carried out, where various sources pf scientific support and credibility were appealed, where the considerations, functions and essential aspects to be taken into account are observed as pillars of the pharmacy regency not only from the component of theoretical scientific knowledge, but also from issues such as ethics and the duty of social projection and care for people. The foregoing then allows the reader to be offered a catalog of rules, principles and procedures on which the Pharmacy Regency must be governed in its daily practice, which if properly followed will allow the materialization of the purposes of the Pharmacy Regency as an area of knowledge, and the preservation of good health based on the analysis, protection, prevention and attention of the situations derived from the administration and implementation of drugs in therapeutic processes
