Agama mengajak manusia kepada keharmonian dan juga perpaduan kaum.Ini dapat dilihat melalui teori, kaedah dan saranan agama yang menyuruh manusia melakukan kebaikan dan melarang manusia melakukan kejahatan.Sebagai contoh semua agama di Asia melarang penganutnya berjudi, minum arak dan juga berzina.Justeru larangan ini jelas menunjukkan agama sebagai pencetus kepada kedamaian dan keharmonian bangsa terutamanya negara kita dan Indonesia yang terdiri daripada pelbagai kaum.Kajian yang akan dilakukan ini adalah untuk memberi pendedahan kepada masyarakat yang berbilang bangsa bahawa dengan panduan dan ketetapan agama maka kehidupan bangsa atau etnik yang berbagai-bagai ini mampu disatukan melalui kemurnian dan gagasan agama sebagai pendorong kepada keharmonian bangsa.Oleh yang demikian keunikan pelbagai budaya dan kepercayaan juga tidak terlepas daripada kawalan dan tuntutan agama.Ia bukan hanya sebagai kepercayaan semata-mata malah mampu menjadi penyelamat kepada krisis hubungan kaum yang berlaku di dunia kini.Selain itu kajian ini juga cuba mengetengahkan beberapa cadangan dan saranan tentang kepentingan agama dalam kehidupan manusia di samping mencari titik persamaan antara agama yang menjadi pegangan masyarakat pelbagai bangsa di Alam Melayu amnya dan di Malaysia khususnya

Kertas kerja konsep ini membincangkan tentang sistem pengajian Turasi yang menjadi pemangkin kepada kesuburan dan kekuatan pegangan Islam di Nusantara semenjak dahulu sehinggalah negara ini digelar sebagai Malaysia.Ianya merupakan satu sistem yang diwarisi sejak zaman berzaman semenjak 1435H tahun yang lalu.Melalui sistem pengajian Turasi inilah, maka lahir ilmuan Islam yang mampu mempertahankan khazanah Islam yang tinggi nilainya.Para ilmuan mengajar dan mengarang kitab dengan mengambilkira disiplin ilmu yang mesti dilalui oleh setiap pelajar agar ilmu yang diterima mampu diamal serta disebarkan. Keberkatan sistem pengajian ini mampu melahirkan mereka yang hebat bukan hanya di dalam negara malah di luar negara. Kelainan yang terdapat pada sistem pengajian ini menampakkan suatu keberkesanan dan kemantapan dalam mempertahankan sistem pengajian Turasi secara Talaqqi yang membezakannya dengan sistem pengajian yang berlaku pada aliran pengajian biasa. Based on maqasid al-Shari’ah, the economy development in Islam is more stressed on human wellbeing (alfalah), better life (hayat tayyibah), concern on brotherhood (ukhuwwah) and socio-economy justice (’adalah) and also balanced satisfaction (qana’ah) whether in material and spiritual dimension. Human as agent in economy development, caliph as well as trustee need to work based on certain capacity to achieve it while being one is a test from Allah S.W.T. Hence, devoted to human is not the end of world for Islamic entrepreneurs. Pembangunan model pengulur kredibiliti maklumat dari perspektif Islam berasaskan pemodelan persamaan struktur (SEM)

This research explores the development of the information credibility construct model based on credibility items from the Islamic perspective driven by the verses of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith. Research was conducted on the Signs of Al-Quran, Hadith and prior sacred scholars writing followed by face-to-face interviews with a group of experts consisting of figures and scholars in the field of Ushuluddin, Al-Quran and Hadith.Credibility Items acquired were further verified by another group of Islamic scholars in the three related areas. All 99 statements which were verified formed four multidimensional constructs namely the presenter (truthfully, tsiqah, a good method, faith, wisdom, responsibility, courtesy and true), chain of information sources (connected, can be checked with the original source, recognized chains, and other reference source), Information (original, changes to the good, and harmless), and receiver (tsiqah, thoughtful, action to be taken, and the impact of action).Empirical testing was then conducted on towards 540 respondents to determine the level of achievement of each item in the current situation.Structural equation modeling analysis used to determine the credibility of the measurement model corresponds to the information in the data.The results showed that all multidimensional constructs formed have achieved good matching accuracy, high reliability and meet its convergent validity, discriminant validity and nomological validity.In conclusion, the development of information credibility constructs based on Islamic perspective and was strengthened by empirical testing has opened up a new dimension to the use of a more accurate credibility measurement construct for Muslims. These constructs can be adapted to other information credibility by Muslims from various media today

Predicting intention to visit kopitiams as halal food outlet: An extension of the theory of planned behavior

Eating and hangout at modern Kopitiams has become a life culture especially among younger generation.This study extended Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model to explain the formation of young Muslims’ intentions to visit Kopitiams outlet as Halal food outlet.Perceived Kopitiams as a Halal outlet and awareness of Halal food was tested as a mediating factor to the relationship between attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control with the intentions.A total of 118 university students participated and answered questionnaires in a cross-sectional study. Data was analyzed using partial least squares.Results showed that attitude and subjective norm but not perceived behavioral control was found to have a significant direct effect to the prediction of intention.Further, multiple mediator bootstrap analysis indicated that perceived Halal outlet significantly mediate the subjective norm and perceived behavioral control on intention to visit Kopitiams.The results of this study could provide useful insights to the food outlets provider and religious authorities
