(An) Experimental Study on Sea Water Freezing Behavior in a Cooled Circular Tube

Everyone knows that water is the most important thing to make our living. However in Korea, many expert organizations have predicted that it will also become water deficiency in the near future. As becoming generally known, the most effective method is to desalinize the sea water in order to obtain the fresh water. In this present, there are various methods for the desalination of sea water. But the most considerable point for adopting the desalination system is the production cost of fresh-water based on an energy source which should be obtained easily and cheaply. Recently in Korea, the demand of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), as a cheap and clean energy which does not cause an environmental problem, is greatly being increased. In general, we put this LNG in storage as a liquid state at below -162℃ in a tank. When the LNG transforms to the gaseous state at high pressure, it absorbs energy from a heat source. In this process, a large amount of cold energy is wasted. Therefore, we focused to make the desalination system by utilizing this wasted cold energy. In characteristic point of sea water, high concentration of aqueous solution becomes an eduction from frozen surface in case it frozen over. Therefore, it is possible to desalinize from sea water. First of all, we have to reveal the freezing mechanism of sea water so as to make the desalination system. The goal of this study is to measure the freezing quantity and freezing rate, and to investigate the freezing heat-transfer characteristics in a Circular Tube. The experimental results will help to provide a general understanding of the sea water freezing behavior to reach completion of the desalination system in the future

Hepatitis B and the health habits : 간 질환 병역 판정 중심으로

보건관리학전공/석사[한글] 현재 우리나라에는 280만여 명의 B형 간염환자가 존재한다. 1998년 사망원인 중 간 질환이 인구 10만 명당 24.8명으로 조사되어 뇌혈관 질환, 심장질환, 운수사고에 이어 4위를 차지하였다. 연령별로 보면 40대 사망원인 1위가 간 질환으로 나타났다. 또한 우리나라의 간암에 의한 사망률은 세계에서 가장 높은 수준이다. 만성 간 질환에 의한 사망률은 40대 남성의 주요 사망원인이 되고 있다.간염에 대처하기 위해서는 초기의 진단과 관리가 중요하기에, 청년층을 대상으로 한 생활습관에 대한 연구가 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 B형 간염과 생활습관의 관계를 파악하는데 있다. 징병검사 대상자의 간염 비 보균자와군 감염자간 생활습관 차이 위험요인을 알아보기 위하여 인천, 경기 지역에 거주하는 만 18세 이상 징병검사 대상자 중 347명에 대해서 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사내용은 건강관리, 음주습관, 간염가족력, 일반적인 특성으로 구성되었다.직업에 따른 건강관리 행태 및 위생습관의 차이를 분석한 결과 직장인, 무직, 학생의 순서로 타인의 칫솔이나 면도기를 공동으로 사용하곤 했다. 또한 학생, 무직, 직장인의 순서로 외출 후 손을 항상 깨끗이 씻으며, 단백질이 충분한 음식을 골고루 먹으며, 적당한 운동과 휴식을 취하며, 문란한 성 접촉을 하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. B형 간염 감염자는 다른 집단에 비해서 직장인들의 건강관리 행태 및 위생습관에 문제가 있음을 보여준다.직업에 따른 음주행태의 차이에 대해서 분석결과 음주 시작연령은 직장인, 무직, 학생의 순으로 음주를 일찍 시작한 것으로 나타났다. 음주빈도는 직장인, 학생, 무직의 순으로 음주를 자주 하는 것으로 나타났다결론적으로 징병검사시 간염에 대한 정확한 분석이 이루어져야 하겠고, 민간병원과 연계하여 진료 및 예방접종체계의 혁신적인 개선방안들이 적극적으로 논의되어야 할 것이다. 또한 바람직한 생활습관을 갖게 하기 위한 보건교육이 절실히 필요하다. [영문]The purpose of this study is to compare the health habits of three groups who came for physical examination for army recruiting. Few studies examined the health habits of Hepatitis B patients. Health habits like eating, exercising, drinking were considered in this study.The data collected in this study was gathered through questionnaire survey with 347 persons who came for physical examination - from June, 1 to Oct. 31 in 2004.The results are as follows.1. Those with Hepatitis B who came to be diagnosed after the examination showed bad health habits compared to other groups(e.g., those who knew that they have Hepatitis B and those without Hepatitis B).2. Those who have known their Hepatitis B did not show concerns for their health. Over 80% of them did not know the blood test results.These findings imply that more systematic approach for health education is required for Hepatitis B control.ope
