A Study on the Satisfaction and Preference of Green Patterns in the Walking Space of Seoul through VR Analysis

학위논문(석사) -- 서울대학교대학원 : 공과대학 건설환경공학부, 2022. 8. 권영상.사회적 인식 변화에 따라 자동차 중심에서 보행자 중심으로의 환경을 조성하면서 시민들의 삶의 질을 높이는 보행환경 조성이 중요해지고 있다. 차로를 줄이고 보도폭을 늘리면서 보행공간을 구성하는 녹지도 함께 증가되고 있다. 하지만 서울시 보행환경 현황을 살펴보면 보도의 너비와는 상관없이 일률적인 식재가 이루어져있어 보행에 불편함을 초래하는 것으로 판단하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 보도폭을 기준으로 조성할 녹지패턴을 구분할 필요성과 함께 녹지패턴 도출을 목적으로 두었다. 본 연구를 진행하기에 앞서 보행공간, 녹지패턴, 그리고 관련 방법론을 활용한 연구의 동향을 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보행공간을 주로 다룬 연구들의 결과에서 녹지가 보행만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 결과와 쾌적성, 위험성 등이 보행만족도의 영향요인으로 나타났다. 이처럼 보행공간 내 녹지의 중요성을 밝혀낸 논문들이 다수였다. 둘째, 녹지패턴을 살펴본 연구들은 주로 용도지역을 기준으로 진행하였다. 주거지역과 업무지역을 다룬 연구들이 다수였으며, 구체적인 녹지구조보다 녹지율과 식재 수종의 비율을 도출하였다. 마지막으로, 본 연구에서 만족도와 선호도, 그리고 VR 분석을 수행하고자 같은 방법론을 활용한 논문들을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 대표하는 지표들을 기준으로 만족도와 선호도 조사를 특정 집단을 설정하여 수행하여 결과값의 영향인자들을 도출하였다. 또한, VR 관련해서는 앞으로 VR의 가능성을 다룬 연구들이 다수였다. 하지만 최근 서울시 정책의 동향에 따라 직접적으로 보도폭에 따른 녹지구조를 이용자 관점에서 도출한 연구는 없었으며, 국내 연구에서는 VR 장비를 활용한 연구도 부족한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 연구 내용적으로, 방법론적으로 모두 기존 연구들과 차별성을 지닌다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 서울시의 대표 보행길인 ‘서울 도심보행길’의 ‘이음길’을 대상으로 8가지 주요 가로를 선정하여 이론적인 연구와 실증연구를 병행하였다. 이론적 연구에서는 보행공간, 녹지패턴, 그리고 본 연구의 방법론인 VR에 관한 보고서를 포함한 서적과 논문 자료를 이용하여 이론적 고찰을 실시하였다. 실증연구는 현황분석을 포함하여 신뢰도 분석과 독립표본 t검정, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 현장조사 연구에서는 연구대상지를 방문하여 현재 보행공간에서의 녹지패턴 동향을 살펴보고 사진촬영을 실시하였다. 실증연구 대상은 연구 대상지의 방문 비율이 60% 이상으로 만 18세 이상의 거리 보행 경험이 있는 자를 대상으로 이루어졌으며, 총 32명의 자료가 수집되었다. 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보도폭 기준으로 만족도 결과를 정리한 결과이다. 3m 미만 보도폭에 가로수를 식재할 경우 유효보도폭이 확보되지 않은 청계천로(B)보다 숭례문 앞 보도(A)의 만족도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 3m 이상 5m 미만 보도폭에서는 공통적으로 가로수가 1열로 조성되어있지만, 낙엽성 활엽 교목을 가로수로 조성한 돈화문로(C)가 상록성 침엽 교목을 가로수로 조성한 남산스퀘어 앞 보도(D)보다 높은 만족도를 보였다. 5m 이상 8m 미만 보도폭은 다층식재가 이루어진 세종대로 사람숲길-서울시청 구간(E)의 만족도가 더 높았으며, 8m 이상 보도폭에서도 다층식재가 이루어진 세종대로 사람숲길-광화문역 구간(F)이 더 높은 만족도를 보였다. 둘째, 만족도 결과를 토대로 회귀분석을 수행한 결과이다. 3m 미만 보도폭은 유효보도폭 확보를 포함하여 안전성에 대한 고려가 종합 만족도에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 3m 이상 보도폭에서는 안전성보다 녹지의 조화로운 정도, 충분한 음영환경 조성과 같은 쾌적성과 심미성에 대한 고려가 종합 만족도에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 넓은 보도폭을 가진 보행환경에서 녹지의 구성이 보다 다층적으로 이루어져야함을 확인하였다. 셋째, 보도폭별 녹지패턴 선호도 결과이다. ‘3m 미만 보도폭’에서는 ‘1열 띠녹지’가 3.69점으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, ‘3m 이상 5m 미만 보도폭’은 ‘1열 가로수+1열 띠녹지’가 3.84점으로 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. ‘5m 이상 8m 미만 보도폭’은 ‘2열 가로수+1열 띠녹지’가 3.88점으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, ‘8m 이상 보도폭’은 ‘2열 가로수+1열 가로수’가 3.91점으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 마지막으로, 방문여부를 기준으로 두 집단으로 VR을 활용한 선호도 조사 결과의 차이를 분석한 결과, 차이가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 최근 변화하는 교통의 패러다임을 적용하여 보도폭에 따라 녹지패턴을 다르게 조성해야하는 이유를 규명하고 이용자 관점에서 알맞은 녹지패턴을 도출하여 서울시에서 제시한 보도폭에 따른 가로수구조모델과 비교분석하여 정책적 시사점을 도출했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 또한, 새로운 연구 방법론인 ‘VR(Virtual Reality)’을 적용하여 현실에서 수행하기 어려운 녹지패턴 조성을 가상현실 속에서 수행하고 실제 방문자와 미방문자간 결과값에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타나 ‘VR’ 방법론에 대한 가능성을 밝혀냈다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다. 다만 본 연구에서 고려하지 않은 토지이용 및 차로 등을 포함한 주변 환경을 고려하여 연구를 진행한다면 보다 일반화할 수 있는 결과 도출이 가능할 것으로 보인다.As societal perceptions change, it becomes increasingly important to create a high-quality pedestrian environment while creating a pedestrian-centric environment in the car. As lanes are reduced and sidewalks are widened, the amount of green space that constitutes pedestrian spaces is also increasing. However, looking at the current state of the pedestrian environment in Seoul, it was judged that the planting was uniform regardless of the width of the sidewalk, causing inconvenience to pedestrians. Therefore, in this study, it is necessary to classify the green pattern to be created according to the width of the sidewalk and the purpose of deriving the green pattern. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, 8 major streets were selected for the ‘connection road’ of the ‘Seoul Urban Pedestrian Street’, a representative pedestrian street in Seoul, and both theoretical and empirical research were conducted. In the field survey, photos were taken by visiting the research site to find out the trend of green patterns in the current walking space. In the theoretical study, a theoretical study was conducted using the materials of books and papers, including reports on the walking space, green pattern, and VR, which are the methodology of this study. The empirical study subjects were those who had more than 18 years of walking experience and had a visit rate of 60% or more, and a total of 32 people were collected. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, it is the result of summarizing the satisfaction results based on the width of the press. When trees were planted in a place where the sidewalk width was less than 3m, the satisfaction of site A was higher than that of site B, where the effective sidewalk width was not secured. When the sidewalk width is 3m or more and less than 5m, it is common to have street trees lined up in one row. In the case of sidewalk widths of 5m or more and less than 8m, even when the sidewalk width was 8m or more, the satisfaction of site E was high in the case of multi-layer planting, and in the case of multi-layer planting, the satisfaction of site F was higher. Second, it is the result of performing regression analysis based on the satisfaction result. For sidewalks less than 3m wide, safety considerations, including ensuring effective sidewalk width, have a significant impact on overall satisfaction. For sidewalk widths of 3m or more, it is more important to consider comfort and aesthetics such as harmonious greenery and sufficient shade environment rather than safety. It was found that consideration had a significant effect on overall satisfaction. In other words, it was confirmed that the green space composition should be more multi-layered in the pedestrian environment with wide sidewalks. Third, it is the result of preference for green areas by sidewalk width. In ‘sidewalk width less than 3m’, ‘1 row of shrubs’ showed the highest score with 3.69 points, and for ‘3m to less than 5m sidewalk width’, ‘1 row of trees + 1 row of shrubs’ showed the most preference with 3.84 points. For ‘sidewalk width of 5m or more and less than 8m’, ‘2 rows of trees + 1 row of shrubs’ showed the highest score with 3.88 points. Finally, ‘sidewalk width of 8m or more’ showed the highest score of ‘2 rows of trees + 1 row of shrubs’ with 3.91 points. Finally, as a result of the preference survey using VR, it was confirmed that there was no difference as a result of analyzing the difference depending on whether the two groups visited or not. In this study, the reason for creating different green patterns depending on the width of the sidewalk was investigated by applying the recently changing paradigm of traffic, and an appropriate green pattern was derived from the user's point of view and compared with the street. The tree structure model and policy implications according to the sidewalk width suggested by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. It is meaningful in that it was derived. In addition, a new research methodology, ‘VR(Virtual Reality)', was applied to create a green pattern that was difficult to perform in reality in virtual reality, and there was no difference between the actual and non-visitor results. It is meaningful in that it reveals the possibility.
