[[abstract]]"This essay proposes a combination of commonsense knowledge and the spreading activation theory to strengthen the breadth of spreading activation of user’s behavioral information in the field of intelligent environment design. The ontology cited in traditional artificial intelligence is roughly used to express and share knowledge. It is described with concepts, the properties of concepts, and the relationships among concepts, and is mostly presented with the treestructured classification. However, there are often only vertical subordinate relationships between concepts with no horizontal and cross-layer interactions. Hence, we employ the constrained spreading activation model to perform a series of algorithms, further constructing the knowledge rules which can be commonly utilized to reinforce the breadth of activation process of user’s behavioral information in an intelligent environment. These rules can provide a reference to the network service of digitalized cities in the future, and can also support the simulation assessment of applicability of intelligent environment design by employing embedded interactive technology.

[[abstract]]"This paper presents a semantic network of commonsense knowledge that is useful in capturing human experience in ambient intelligence environments. Human behavior is composed of a series of behavior patterns. And a behavior pattern contains behavioral features, such as the objects touched by users, time, and location information, within a period of time. Consequently, in this paper, the algorithm of the spreading activation model is adopted. Each behavior node is inferred based on the possibility of what behavior may happen next and on their mutual relationships. In the spreading activation model, various weights are put into certain nodes and checked to see if some behavior nodes are enabled under such a circumstance.

A Study on Creation of Human-based Co-design Service Platform

With the approaching of digital era, various interactive service platforms and systems support human beings- needs in lives by different contents and measures. Design strategies have gradually turned from function-based to user-oriented, and are often customized. In other words, how designers include users- value reaction in creation becomes the goal. Creative design service of interior design requires positive interaction and communication to allow users to obtain full design information, recognize the style and process of personal needs, develop creative service design, lower communication time and cost and satisfy users- sense of achievement. Thus, by constructing a co-design method, based on the communication between interior designers and users, this study recognizes users- real needs and provides the measure of co-design for designers and users

Behavioral Mechanism: Advancing a Design State with Multi-Agents Coordinating

[[abstract]]For the past two decades, several design support tools have been developed for both research and commercial purposes. Most are stand-alone tools; few are comprehensive or collaborative design environments. Agent technology is an emerging field and agent-based application design is still a pioneering discipline. The agent-oriented design is a new generation method of programming design that mainly uses the script language as a basis for development and that is suitable to design the multi-agent application system. Some tools have adopted the notion of computational agency. In the urban design environment, suppose design objects such as pavements, lamps and plazas can look after themselves and have its own behavioral mechanism, where would a design object acquire the knowledge that allows it to interact intelligently? This paper investigates the question through the notion of objects as agents in design and the purpose of this research is to propose a coordinative mechanism of agents of spatial objects by establishing this design agent

[[abstract]]The objective of this paper is to develop commonsense knowledge modeling and reasoning for ambient intelligence. Urban plaza activity is set to be the theme in this paper. By collecting various activities and events of human beings in urban plaza, dependencies are further analyzed. In this research, the commonsense knowledge model of activities in urban leisure space is called “SmartCypin”. This paper presents a semantic network of commonsense knowledge that is useful in capturing human experience in ambient intelligence environments
