    Adolescence requires appropriate energy intake to support physical and psychological development, it can be obtained from the consumption of snacks in schools. From the initial survey there were 30% of students who had poor knowledge in SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Surakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutrition education with video media to the students' knowledge in the selection of snack foods at SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Surakarta. This type of research is quasy experiment design with one pretest-posttest group design. Sampling was done by proportionate random sampling technique with total sample of 44 students. Data analysis using Kolmogorof smirnov and Paired Sample T-Test.. Based on data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test test result p = 0.000 so there is significant effect of knowledge after given nutrition education with video media. After given the nutritional education the value of students 'knowledge increased from 75.6 to 87

J310130079 RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CARIOGENIC FOOD CONSUMPTION WITH DENTAL CARIES AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN CHILDREN AGED 3-5 YEARS OLD AT UMMU AIMAN PRE-SCHOOL OF KARTASURA SUKOHARJO Introduction: The state of infection and food intake are direct factors that affect nutritional status. Consumption of excessive cariogenic foods can trigger the development of dental caries when not paying attention to oral hygiene. Dental caries is one of infectious diseases and can interfere food intake. Based on preliminary survey in UMMU AIMAN pre-school of Kartasura Sukoharjo, 63% of children had dental caries, 3% of children was overweight, 10% was undernutrition, and 87% had normal nutritional status. The frequency of children consuming cariogenic foods that generally contain many carbohydrates can certainly affect the child's nutritional intake. If it happens for a long time and is not offset by variations of nutritious food, then the child will have deficiencies of macro and micro nutrients Objective: To know the relationship between cariogenic food consumption with dental caries and nutritional status in children aged 3-5 years old at Ummu Aiman pre-school of Kartasura Sukoharjo. Methods: The research was an observational with cross-sectional approach. The frequency data of cariogenic food consumption were obtained using a food frequency (FFQ), dental condition data were obtained using objective test, nutritional status data were obtained by direct measurement of height and weight of student . Data analysis used chi square and Fisher's Exact Tests. Result: There was 52.8% of respondents who had low cariogenic food consumption levels, and 47.2% had high levels of dietary cariogenic consumption. There was 61.1% of respondents had dental caries, there was 13.9% of respondents who had abnormal nutritional status, while 86.1% had normal nutritional status. Conclusion: There was no correlation between cariogenic food consumption and dental caries (p = 0.270), no correlation dental caries and nutritional status (p = 0.357), but there was correlation between consumption of cariogenic food and nutritional status (p = 0.016)

    Hubungan Tingkat Asupan Zat Gizi Mikro Dan Morbiditas Terhadap Status Gizi Siswa – Siswi Di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura

    Latar Belakang: Masa remaja merupakan masa dimana pertumbuhan manusia, pada masa ini terjadi pertahapan perubahan yang sangat cepat. Status kesehatan dan gizi nya dapat mudah terpengaruhi oleh perubahan fisik karena pertumbuhannya. Masalah gizi dapat disebabkan oleh ketidak seimbangan asupan kebutuhan baik itu berupa masalah gizi lebih maupun kurang. Masalah gizi pada remaja akan berdampak negatif pada tingkat kesehatan masyarakat, misalnya penurunan konsentrasi belajar, risiko melahirkan BBLR dan penurunan kesegaran jasmani. Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan tingkat asupan zat gizi mikro (vitamin A dan vitamin C) dan morbiditas terhadap status gizi siswa/siswi di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura. Metode : Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan desain cross-sectional yaitu variabel-variabel yang diteliti diukur pada saat bersamaan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan sampel sebanyak 31 siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura, Kabupaten Sukoharjo dan data diambil dengan menggunakan teknik recall dengan durasi waktu 3 hari x 24 jam dan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dilanjutkan dengan analisis data Chi Square. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi-Square diperoleh nilai χ2 hitung sebesar 0.784 dengan nilai probabilitas 0,376 yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan gizi mikro dengan status gizi berdasarkan IMT. Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi-Square diperoleh nilai χ2 hitung sebesar 27,187 dengan nilai probabilitas 0,000 yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara morbiditas dengan status gizi berdasarkan IMT. Kesimpulan dan saran: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan gizi mikro dengan status gizi berdasarkan IMT dengan nilai 18,5-25,0. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil uji Chi-Square yang memperoleh nilai χ2 hitung sebesar 0,784 dengan nilai probabilitas 0,376 (p>0,05). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara morbiditas dengan status gizi berdasarkan IMT. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil uji Chi-Square yang memperoleh nilai χ2 hitung sebesar 0,267 dengan nilai probabilitas 0,605 (p>0,05)
