The present research paper analyzed the literature published on bibliometric research in DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology during 1998-2018. Total 86 articles found on bibliometric research during the period. Researcher selected the literature survey and bibliometric research methodology for this study. Major findings of the study are as follows: Only 86 (11%) articles from bibliometric research out of 780 articles. Maximum 63 articles are written by multi-authored and only 23 articles written by single author. It is good signal for collaborative research. Degree of collaboration is 0.73. Only three foreign countries author contributed. Foreign contribution should be increase. Gender wise 77% male authors and 23% female authors contributed. PLANNER is an annual convention initiated by INFLIBNET for North East region of India. The themes of the convention are nascent and attract library and information professional from all over India and abroad. Planner conventions are organized in following States: These are Assam (4), Meghalaya (2), Manipur (1), Mizoram (1), Nagaland (1) and Sikkim (1). But Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh states are not hosting Planner Convention till date. Present paper maps the contents of the last eight PLANNER proceedings on different parameters. The study explores themes, sub themes, venues, and number of papers, authors, authorship pattern, collaborations, and institutions. Researchers find that total 404 articles published in the proceedings. 757 authors are contributed in these publications. 162(40.10%) articles are single authored and 242(59.90%) articles are written by multiauthored. Average degree of collaboration is 0.60. Total 524 unique contributors are found in this study. Maximum contributors are male authors’ i.e.358 (68%) and Females authors are 166(32%). out of these contributors 431(82.25%) authors from Indian and 93(17.75%) authors from foreig

Isolation, and characterization of Cladosporium alboflavescens for Acetaminophen biodegradation

One of the pharmaceutical micropollutants with a detrimental effect on the environment is paracetamol. Mycoremediation of the pollutants is a widely accepted concept based on cost and eco-friendly nature. Fungi isolated from pharmaceutical industry effluent have been used to target the biodegradation of paracetamol. The fungus’s internal transcribed spacer (ITS 1) sequencing matched that of Cladosporium alboflavescens (GenBank accession number OQ977005) by 99.81%. The strain demonstrated 89% biodegradation of paracetamol (1000 ppm) after 96 hours of incubation with 4-aminophenol as the predominant biodegradative metabolite, according to the spectrophotometric and high-performance liquid chromatographic analysis. The half-life of 1.44 days and simple first order kinetics were proposed by the Computer Assisted Kinetic Evaluation (CAKE) tool used to examinethe biodegradation kinetics. Key words: Acetaminophen, 4-aminophenol, Cladosporium, Mycoremediatio

Adaptive Load Balancing Using RR and ALB: Resource Provisioning in Cloud

    Get PDF
Cloud Computing context, load balancing is an issue. With a rise in the number of cloud-based technology users and their need for a broad range of services utilizing resources successfully or effectively in a cloud environment is referred to as load balancing, has become a significant obstacle. Load balancing is crucial in storage systems to increase network capacity and speed up response times. The main goal is to present a new load-balancing mechanism that can balance incoming requests from users all over globally who are in different regions requesting data from remote data sources. This method will combine effective scheduling and cloud-based techniques. A dynamic load balancing method was developed to ensure that cloud environments have the ability to respond rapidly, in addition to running cloud resources efficiently and speeding up job processing times. Applications' incoming traffic is automatically split up across a number of targets, including Amazon EC2 instances, network addresses, and other entities by elastic load balancing. Elastic load balancing offers three distinct classifications of load balancer, and each one provides high availability, intelligent scalability, and robust security to guarantee the error-free functioning of your applications. Application load balancing and round robin are the two load balancing mechanisms in database cloud that are focus of this research study

Visible-Light Photocatalysis of Aldehyde and Carbonyl Functionalities, an Innovative Domain

    Get PDF
The chemistry of aldehydes and resembling chromophores portraits a natural tendency to undergo chemical reactions through nucleophilic reagents, owing to the polarization arising from the electronegativity of oxygen atom, and they also can enolize as a result of the acidic nature of the α-hydrogen of the carbonyl functional group; thereby the C▬C bond forming reactions can be attained either intra- or intermolecularly. Carbonyl addition reactions, enolate chemistry coupled with their capability to undergo [2+2] cycloaddition reactions, and the chemistry of carbonyl compounds are being mind-numbingly exploited in the design and process development of industrially, commercially, pharmacologically, and biologically value-added compounds. Ultimately abundant name reactions were registered, and many novel reactions endlessly appear; of late, prodigious development has been reported under the heading of visible-light photocatalysis (VLPC). Fascinatingly, VLPC has opened a new domain in the synthetic organic chemistry, and this domain paves the way to access broad spectrum of organic compounds with the ease of operations. In this chapter the chemistry of carbonyls by VPLC is briefly presented, which is comprising of not only functional group transformations but also asymmetric syntheses of complex organic compounds

Buffer insertion in large circuits using look-ahead and back-off techniques

    Get PDF
Buffer insertion is an essential technique for reducing interconnect delay in submicron circuits. Though it is a well researched area, there is a need for robust and effective algorithms to perform buffer insertion at the circuit level. This thesis proposes a new buffer insertion algorithm for large circuits. The algorithm finds a buffering solution for the entire circuit such that buffer cost is minimized and the timing requirements of the circuit are satisfied. The algorithm iteratively inserts buffers in the circuit improving the circuit delay step by step. At the core of this algorithm are very simple but extremely effective techniques that constructively guide the search for a good buffering solution. A flexibility to adapt to the user's requirements and the ability to reduce the number of buffers are the strengths of this algorithm. Experimental results on ISCAS85 benchmark circuits show that the proposed algorithm, on average, yields 36% reduction in the number of buffers, and runs three times faster than one of the best known previously researched algorithms
