Consideration of residual stress and geometry during heat treatment to decrease shaft bending

In automotive industry, heat treatment of components is implicitly related to distortion. This phenomenon is particularly obvious in the case of gearbox parts because of their typical geometry and precise requirements. Even if distortion can be anticipated to an extent by experience, it remains complex to comprehend. Scientific literature and industrial experience show that the whole manufacturing process chain has an influence on final heat treatment distortions. This paper presents an approach to estimate the influence of some factors on the distortion, based on the idea of a distortion potential taking into account not only geometry but also the manufacturing process history. Then the idea is developed through experiments on an industrial manufacturing process to understand the impact of residual stress due to machining on shaft bending and teeth distortion during heat treatment. Instead of being measured, residual stress is being neutralized. By comparing lots between each other, connections between gear teeth geometry and manufacturing steps before heat treatment are obtained. As a consequence, geometrical nonconformities roots can be determined more easily thanks to this diagnosis tool, and corrective actions can be applied. Secondly, the influence of product geometry on bending is experimentally considered. Moreover, metallurgical observations enable to explain the influence of workpieces geometry on shaft bending. Thanks to the obtained results, process and product recommendations to decrease shafts bending are proposed

Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa melalui Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri pada Mata Pelajaran Produk Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan di SMK Negeri 1 Gabuswetan

The success of the teaching and learning process in the classroom is largely determined by the learning strategy, however complete and clear other components, without being implemented through the right strategy, these components will have no meaning in the process of achieving goals. Therefore, in Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM), teachers are required to apply certain strategies or methods in the implementation of learning. This research uses action research carried out in three cycles which include four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and reference. The subject of the study was a student of grade XII Accounting A SMK Negeri 1 Gabuswetan for the 2020/2021 academic year. The data obtained are in the form of formative test results and observation sheets for teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis, it was found that student learning outcomes increased from cycle I to cycle III, namely, cycle I by 78.74%, cycle II by 80.40%, cycle III by 83.18%. The conclusion of this study is that the inquiry learning model can have a positive effect on the activities and learning outcomes of Class XII AKL A SMKN 1 Gabuswetan students, and this learning model can be used as an alternative learning for Creative Entrepreneurial Products

Review on the Determinants of Agricultural Productivity and Rural Household Income in Ethiopia

Achieving agricultural productivity growth will not be possible without developing and disseminating improved agricultural technologies that can increase productivity to smallholder agriculture farm. It is significantly important to identify the factors that affect agricultural productivity and find the methods of the rural household income improvements. Therefore, the objective of this article is to review and summarize the different factors that affects agricultural productivity and rural household income in Ethiopia based on studies conducted by different scholars so far. Land-labor ratio, use of fertilizer, use of extension service, use of pesticide, manure, number of oxen used and household size are found to be the most significant variables that affect agricultural labor and land productivity. However, drought has statistically significant and has negative effect on both labor and land productivity by the same magnitude. Labor productivity, non-farm income and land productivity are found to be the most determinants of household income. However, number of dependency ratio is significantly and negatively affecting the rural household income. Sex of the household head is the main socio-economic factor for the variation of income among the rural households. The review also concludes that, Labor productivity is the most potent for factor of production and rural household income enhancement. Then increasing land-labor ratio is important for agricultural productivity enhancement and promotion of both farm labor and non-farm income are best focusing to speed up for the enhancement of rural household income. Orang tua sebagai pengemban amanah di muka bumi ini tentulah tidak semudah yang dibayangkan oleh sebagian orang, karena tentunya mempunyai rintangan yang senantiasa mengiringi perjalanan hidup manusia apalagi yang namanya orang tua tunggal. Hubungan orang tua dengan anak serta cara memupuk bakat yang ada pada anak, akan menentukan kemampuan belajar mereka dimasa yang akan datang, salah satu usaha yang dilakukan orang tua ialah mengatur suasana rumah yang harmonis antara orang tua dan anak maupun antara sesama.  Pelaku utama dalam pendidikan anak yang sebenarnya adalah orang tua, guru hanyalah pendidik kedua setelah orang tua, orang yang berperan penting adalah orang tua. Bagaimana orang tua berperan dalam mendidik anak,  metode apa yang digunakan, dan kira-kira faktor yang menghambat dalam mendidik anak khususnya bagi orang tua tunggal itu apa? Dari hasil laporan yang peneliti lakukan diketahui bahwa peranan orang tua khususnya orang tua tunggal sangat penting bagi pendidikan karena adanya motivasi dari orang tua dapat membuat anak selalu tersugesti, sehingga baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan daya imajinasi untuk selalu pengetahuan yang baru, yangb kemudian mampu melahirkan para generasi yang siap pakai, khususnya anak dari orang tua tunggal di kecamatan alla kabupaten enrekang.   &nbsp
