    Definition of Intuitive Set Theory

The two axioms which define intuitive set theory, Axiom of Combinatorial Sets and Axiom of Infinitesimals, are stated. Generalized Continuum Hypothesis is derived from the first axiom, and the infinitesimal is visualized using the latter

The Essence of Intuitive Set Theory

    Get PDF
Intuitive Set Theory (IST) is defined as the theory we get, when we add Axiom of Monotonicity and Axiom of Fusion to Zermelo-Fraenkel set theory. In IST, Continuum Hypothesis is a theorem, Axiom of Choice is a theorem, Skolem paradox does not appear, nonLebesgue measurable sets are not possible, and the unit interval splits into a set of infinitesimals

    High-efficiency broad-bandwidth sub-wavelength grating based fibre-chip coupler in SOI

We report a comprehensive study on the performance of uniform and non-uniform based subwavelength grating couplers in Silicon-on-Insulator. The two performance metrics, coupling efficiency and bandwidth enhancement and trade-offs is presented. We also present, design parameters to achieve high-efficiency and broadband operation based on the detailed study of various loss mechanisms in the grating. Based on the detailed analysis subwavelength grating coupler designs with efficiency as high as 84 % with a 1 dB bandwidth of 50 nm and 98 % with a 44 nm 1 dB bandwidth is presented

A radiographic study on the visualization of the anterior loop in dentate subjects of different age groups

The anterior loop is defined as where the mental neurovascular bundle crosses anterior to the mental foramen then doubles back to exit the mental foramen. It cannot be seen clinically but can be detected in 11-60 of panoramic radiographs. As this anatomical structure is important in determining the placement position of endosseous implants in the mandibular premolar region, a pilot study was undertaken to determine its visibility on dental panoramic radiographs in dentate subjects of various age groups. One or more anterior loops were visible in 39 (40.2) radiographs encompassing 66 sites (34.4). Interestingly, anterior loops were most commonly observed bilaterally, followed by on the right side of the mandible only. An anterior loop on the left side only was observed in just 1 radiograph. Visibility of anterior loops reduced as the age of subjects increased. More than half (58.1) of subjects aged 20-29 years exhibited at least one anterior loop; this gradually reduced to only 15 percent of subjects aged 50 and older. There was no association between visualization of the anterior loop and subject gender

Two Open Problems and a Conjecture in Mathematical Logic

    Get PDF
The first open problem is concerned with introducing three derivation rules in predicate calculus and the second one suggests a solution for the continuum hypothesis. The conjecture says that there will always be profound questions in any significant theory, over and above those suggested by G\"odel's incompleteness theorems

The Relationship Between Job Characteristics, Equitable Reward, Work Condition, and Supportive Colleagues Towards Job Satisfaction of Teachers: A Study At Sekolah Tinggi Port Dickson

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between job characteristics, equitable rewards, work conditions and supportive colleagues with the job satisfaction of the teachers in Sekolah Tinggi Port Dickson. A total of 112 teachers of the school were taken as the sample for this study. The Research tool used was in questionnaire form. It was found that only equitable rewards showed significant difference towards the job satisfaction of teachers in Sekolah Tinggi Port Dickson. A few recommendations were given at the end of this study to help the teachers to increase their job satisfaction to yield better productivity

Bacteriology of spoilage of canned prawns

    Get PDF
Spoilage characteristics of different types of bacteria isolated from bacteriologically defective cans and processing factory environs were studied by inoculating pure cultures into sterile prawn meat. The pattern of spoilage, namely, production of off odour, bulging of the cans and disintegration of meat were observed. Data on spoilage under aerobic as well as anaerobic conditions are presented. Most of the cultures produced some kind of spoilage, though differences were observed in the extent of spoilage produced by different types of bacteria. Gram positive spore formers were found to be the major spoilers and the extent of spoilage was more with mixed cultures
