The multifractal spectrum of Brownian intersection local times

Let \ell be the projected intersection local time of two independent Brownian paths in R^d for d=2,3. We determine the lower tail of the random variable \ell(U), where U is the unit ball. The answer is given in terms of intersection exponents, which are explicitly known in the case of planar Brownian motion. Allergy Training or Lack Thereof

Food allergies affect many people in our society today, and the food service industry must keep up with the demand for allergen-free food from their customers. The objective of this research is to gain insight from the employee’s perspective of the importance of food allergies and what training method would help them learn best. Through this research we intend to learn how we can engage employees during training, increase training retention, and stress the importance to change their behaviors and utilize safe practices in regards to allergens. We compared both quick and full-service restaurants’ food-allergy training methods in this study in an attempt to better grasp what it is that helps employees learn. The study revealed that full-service respondents were more likely to identify a food as an allergen, or a reaction as a symptom of an allergy, than the QSR respondents

Cadmium, Kupfer und Blei im Wasser und in den Sedimenten der Hase im Bereich der Stadt Osnabrück - ein Situationsbild : mit 4 Tabellen

In einer Momentaufnahme wird die insgesamt merkliche, aber stark variierende Belastungssituation der Hase im Bereich der Stadt Osnabrück durch ausgewählte Schwermetalle dargestellt. Dazu wurden von 7 Probenahmestellen die jeweiligen Schwermetallkonzentrationen des Wassers, der Schwebstoffe sowie der Sedimente bestimmt und in Beziehung zu physiko-chemischen Gewässerkenndaten gesetzt. Aus den Untersuchungen lassen sich generelle Beobachtungen zur Verteilung anthropogen in ein Flußsystem eingetragener Schadstoffe ableiten

Consolidation of data base for Army generalized missile model

Data from plume interaction tests, nose mounted canard configuration tests, and high angle of attack tests on the Army Generalized Missile model are consolidated in a computer program which makes them readily accessible for plotting, listing, and evaluation. The program is written in FORTRAN and will run on an ordinary minicomputer. It has the capability of retrieving any coefficient from the existing DATAMAN tapes and displaying it in tabular or plotted form. Comparisons of data taken in several wind tunnels and of data with the predictions of Program MISSILE2 are also presented
