The Effect of Bamboo Dancing Method on Studentâs Speaking Skill of Tenth Grade Studentâs
This research2was2intended to find out the differences achievement on studentâsspeaking skill between those who used a Bamboo Dancing Method and a Conventional Technique. In this experimental design, the population were tenth grade students of MAN 1 Kota Pariaman, they were divided in to seven classes, the total number were 221 students. The researcher was used cluster random sampling to get the sample. The2 sample consisted of 20 students. In this research was conducted by using experimental class and control class. Speaking test was the instrument for collecting the data. The data wereanalyzed by using t-test formula. The t-observed (35.5) t-table(1.734) than it can state t-observed > t-table (35.5> 1.734) at the level of significance 0.05with the degree of freedom (df) 18 based on the data calculation shows. The hypothesize was accepted that shows who were taught trough Bamboo Dancing method had better speaking skill those who were not. Therefore, in teaching speaking researcher recommend the teacherâs to apply Bamboo Dancing method on classroom
Analysis of Speaking Materials in English Textbook for 10Th Grade of Senior High School Students
Although many studies showed that current English textbooks were suitable to be used for speaking materials in the classroom, they need to be evaluated for some reasons. This study aimed at finding out whether the speaking materials in the textbook entitled âBahasa Inggrisâ met the criteria of good speaking materials as proposed by National Education Standard Board. Documentary analysis in the form of qualitative descriptive research were used to collect data. The result showed that the textbook was âgoodâ for teaching speaking. In other words, speaking materials and activities in the textbook âBahasa Inggrisâ were appropriate with the curriculum 2013 and therefore, deserves to be used in the classroom
HUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI DALAM KELUARGA DENGAN SIKAP SOSIAL PESERTA DIDIK DI SMP NEGERI 8 TARUSAN
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena banyak terjadi permasalahan dengan sikap sosial peserta didik, diantaranya suka menyendiri, peserta didik belum mampu bertanya dalam proses pembelajaran, kurang aktif dalam diskusi kelompok, memilih teman yang akrab saat pembagian kelompok, berkata kasar dengan temannya, adanya rasa minder dan kurang percaya diri saat bergaul dengan teman-temanya serta tidak memiliki sopan santun.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan komunikasi dalam keluarga dengan sikap sosial peserta didik di SMP Negeri 8 Tarusan. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 148 orang dan jumlah sampel 60 orang yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah angket. Data diolah dengan menggunakan program Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) versi 20, serta dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus product moment correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Komunikasi dalam keluarga peserta didik tergolong dalam kategori sedang dengan persentase 31,66%, (2) Sikap sosial peserta didik tergolong dalam kategori sedang dengan persentase 23,33%. (3) Dari hasil pengolahan data didapatkan hubungan yang signifikan antara komunikasi dalam keluarga dengan sikap sosial peserta didik di SMP Negeri 8 Tarusan dengan arah hubungan yang positif.
PENGEMBANGAN BUKU AJAR IKATAN KIMIA UNTUK MAHASISWA FKIP UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Abstrak:Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar materi iktan kimia yang valid, praktis/kebolehgunaan dan efektivitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia pada mahasiswa angkatan 2018. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan walkthrough. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kevalidan materi menurut koefisien âAiken sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori tinggi dan nilai koefisien Kappa sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang, kevalidan desain menurut koefisien âAiken sebesar 0,87dengan kategori tinggi dan nilai koefisien Kappa sebesar 1,00 dengan kategori sangat baik, dan kevalidan pedagogi/bahasa menurut koefisien âAiken sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori tinggi dan nilai koefisien Kappa sebesar 1,00 dengan kategori sangat baik. Skor kepraktisan pada tahap uji produk I diperoleh nilai Cronbachâs Alpha sebesar 0,61 dengan kategori tinggi dan pada tahap uji produk II diperoleh nilai Cronbachâs Alpha sebesar 0,64 dengan kategori tinggi. Hasil uji coba pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti kuliah ikatan kimia didapatkan nilai pree test 43,2 dan pos test 80,1 dengan N-gain skor sebesar 0,65 dengan katagori keefektifan sedang. Berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh tersebut menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar ikatan kimia yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid/sah dan praktis/kebolehgunaan dan efektif. Kata Kunci : Penelitian pengembangan, buku ajar, Ikatan Kimia
FACTORS INFLUENCING CLASSROOM PARTICIPATION IN THE FIRST GRADE OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 SOLOK SELATAN IN ENGLISH CLASS
This research is attempted to identify the factors that influence studentsâ participation in English class. Specifically, this study is focused on exploring the factors that most influence English class participation of grade VII.1 students at SMPN
1 Solok Selatan. A quantitative descriptive research design was used in which data were taken from questionnaires distributed to 30 students of class VII.1 of Junior High School 1 Solok Selatan in English class. The results of this study showed that factors such as teacher traits (73.80%), class traits (41.42%), and student traits (27.61%) have their own influence towards studentsâ English class participation. Related to the items most chosen by students from each factor, English teacherâs friendly response of the teacher traits factor was the most chosen items by students, followed by friendship in English class of the class traits factor, and preparation for English class of the student traits factor
The Effectiveness of in-service Teacher Training Program at Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang
The purpose of this research is to reveal: 1. The influence of in-service Teacher Training Program (PLPG) towards the teacher competency as participant of PLPG; 2. The correlation between gender (X1) towards the teachersâ competency as participant of PLPG; .3. The correlation between Age (X2) towards the teachersâ competency as participant of PLPG; 4. The correlation between years of service towards the teachersâ competency as participant of PLPG; 5. The correlation between the number of  training followed (X4) towards teachersâ competency as participant of PLPG; and 6. This research used quantitative method. The population of this research is 1.300 teachers of PLPG in 2013. By using Yamane formulation, there are 220 teachers taken as the sample. The data  was analyzed by using t test and correlation analysis. The findings of the study suggested that: 1. There is a positive influence of PLPG implementation towards teachersâ competency as PLPG participant; 2. There is no significant correlation between gender (X1) and teachersâ competency as PLPG participant; 3. There is a significant correlation between Age (X2) towards teachersâ competency of PLPG; 4. There is no significant correlation between the Years of Service (X3) towards teachersâ competency as the participant of PLPG; 5. There is a significant correlation between the number of Diklat followed (X4) towards teachersâ competency as the participant of PLPG; and 6. Analysis of the ELT Pre-Services Teacher Lesson Plan: A Case on the Vocabulary Discussion
As the lesson plan is considered of main requirements for both teacher and practiced teacher and vocabulary discussion is essential to include. This research is aimed to identify the vocabulary discussion used by teacher in the Lesson Plan. Using 22 peaces ELT ELT lesson plan, the research was done by implementing documentation study. Regarding the distinction indicators of both KTSP and K13 curriculum, it was found that the lesson have some limitation in using the vocabulary discussion in which there are only 9.09% of the lesson plan that included the vocabulary discussion as a step in the teaching of reading for comprehension before doing reading activity, and 4.55% offers it after the students read the text. Most of the documents do not include the steps of vocabulary discussion in the teaching of reading for comprehension. Finally, 19 or  86.36% that did not offer the vocabulary discussion
