India is a rich source of plant flora of 2500 documented species and 600-700 species are having medicinal value1. About 150 are used commercially. It is reported that Western Himalayas are the abode of 50 percent plant drugs mentioned in the British pharmacopoeia. Medicinal plants are used for preventive, promotive and curative purposes. Eighty percent of the ingredients of drug formulation in ayurvedic are plant based2. In compliance with the CBD and WTO, India too has to conserve its natural resources from unfair exploitation3. The survey of the area was conducted during March, 2007- October, 2008. The two tribal communities viz. ā€œGaddis and Gujjarsā€ were interviewed4-5. These two nomadic communities were asked to identify the plant and tell its use by them. The samples of the plants were crosschecked with the qualified ayurvedic practitioners of the area and some were identified by the author him self. However, Some of the samples were processed and identified with the help of literature available6-7 in the library of Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and forestry Nauni Solan. The plant species of the area have been enumerated below in an alphabetic order. Each species have been provided with scientific name, local name, crude drug preparation (as per details provided by the folklore) and its local use. Twenty seven species of Ethnobotanical use were identified from this backward district of Himachal Pradesh

Ī³\gamma and Ī·c/Ļ‡cJ(J=0,1)\eta_c/\chi_{cJ}(J=0,1) production in electron-positron annihilation at s=10.6\sqrt{s}=10.6 GeV in the framework of Bethe-Salpeter equation

In present work we study the production of ground and excited charmonium states in eāˆ’e+ā†’Ī³+Ī·c(nS)/Ļ‡cJ(nP)(J=0,1)e^- e^+ \rightarrow \gamma+ \eta_c(nS)/\chi_{cJ}(nP)(J=0,1), through leading order (LO) (tree-level) diagrams, which proceed through exchange of a virtual photon that couples to Ī³\gamma and Ī·c/Ļ‡cJ\eta_c/\chi_{cJ} through the triangular quark loop diagram, in the framework of 4Ɨ44\times 4 Bethe-Salpeter equation (BSE), at center of mass energy, s=10.6GeV.\sqrt{s}=10.6 GeV. The amplitude simplifies to a general form required by Lorentz-covariance, in terms of its form factors. The cross sections for these processes with leading order (tree level) diagrams alone at s=10.6GeV.\sqrt{s}=10.6 GeV. provide a sizable contribution, which might be mainly due to the BSE being a fully relativistic approach that incorporates the relativistic effect of quark spins and can also describe internal motion of constituent quarks within the hadron in a relativistically covariant manner. Our results are compared with data and other models. The calculational method employed in this work is an extension of previous applications of this method to study of E1E1 and M1M1 radiative transitions involving ground and excited states of 1āˆ’āˆ’,0āˆ’+,0++1^{--},0^{-+},0^{++} and 1+āˆ’1^{+-} charmonia.Comment: 17 pages, 1 figure, 6 tables. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:2205.0366

Objective: The aim of the study was to compare the effects of 16-week treatment with two insulin-lowering therapies on the clinical, endocrine-metabolic and ovulatory parameters in women affected by polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Material and methods: A total of 70 patients attending the Gynecology OPD of Holy Family Hospital, Okhla, New Delhi, with clinical features of PCOS in the age group of 17-35 years, between June 2015 and May 2016, were selected. Patients were randomly distributed into two groups with 35 patients each. Group 1 received myoinositol (MYO) 2 g/day, while Group 2 received metformin 500 mg/day twice-daily. Baseline anthropometry, biochemical investigations and pelvic ultrasonography were done and repeated after 16 weeks. Results: Modified Ferriman-Gallwey (mFG) score was reduced from 4.66 Ā± 4.06 SD to 3.56 Ā± 3.29 SD in Group 1 and 4.94 Ā± 4.05 SD to 3.87 Ā± 3.24 SD in Group 2; the fall in Group 1 was more significant than Group 2. Fasting insulin decreased from 13.90 Ā± 6.88 SD to 11.66 Ā± 6.05 SD in Group 1 and from 12.85 Ā± 4.46 SD to 11.78 Ā± 4.39 SD in Group 2; reduction was highly significant in Group 1 than Group 2. Results for luteinizing hormone (LH) were not significant. Free testosterone decreased from mean of 1.47 Ā± 0.37 SD to 1.37 Ā± 0.37 SD in Group 1 and from 1.43 Ā± 0.37 SD to 1.36 Ā± 0.36 SD in Group 2; the fall in Group 1 was more significant than Group 2. Conclusion: Metformin is effective in reducing the metabolic and hormonal parameters and improves fertility. MYO not only improves all the above parameters but also decreases insulin resistance significantly. Thus, MYO supplementation is essential in the management of PCOS to improve insulin sensitivity

COVID-19 has become a huge worry for the Globe. The social and economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic will be far reaching and devastating for all. In this globally connected world, every country will get impacted by the devastation caused by the pandemic. The COVID-19 is likely to lead to certain permanent or long-lasting. By the time, when the pandemic ends, we will probably see a new world, a new lexicon, a new social norm with far reaching economic and social destruction. When COVID-19 outbreak started spreading across the world, thousands of people started facing severe health issues and death rates increased. The only way to stop the spread of the pandemic was to stop all social and economic activities in the affected countries for indefinite period of time. This led many countries to impose complete lock-down all across the globe which is still going on going on. In such a scenario all business activities, across all industries were completely stopped. The lockdown impacted various sectors in varied degree. For example, the airlines, hospitality, hotel, manufacturing industry is totally stopped and will take a long time to come out of this situation, if at all. Millions of people in these sectors are likely to lose jobs in these sectors. COVID-19 pandemic caused enormous disruption in businesses, which will take years to recover, if at all. The disruption is likely to lead to permanent shut down of many businesses, unable to bear the financial losses and disruptions caused by the pandemic. To get over the current situation, companies are trying to run offices and administration jobs through ā€œWork from Homeā€ mode. Companies are trying to cope up with economic turbulence caused due to COVID 19 through the usage of disruptive technology by working from home concept. Earlier work from home was an acceptable business practice only in IT and Technology sectors. However, other industry sectors were reluctant to adopt WFH as a good business practice. The biggest business change that we can see today, forced by the global spread the pandemic, is that many companies have been forced to implementing Work from Home mode for their employees. During the last 2 months, companies have found significant benefit in the WFH. Most companies, going forward, are looking at WFH as an integral business model. The WFH mode is helping some industries and functions in keeping its operations going, in a limited way. This research paper analyses the positives and negatives aspects of work from home concept as during this COVID-19 crisis, people working on WFH, are compelled to live in social isolation and emotional distancing. One can balance the responsibilities of work-life domains, especially when life domain needs as much attention as to work, during these difficult times. The study has focused on the impact of COVID-19 virus pandemic on working life of employees. This research paper also emphasizes that how employers as well as HR managers are required to think out of the box and bring forth best practices as well as redefining HR rolesĀ  during any adversity .This research paper will also give light on few important issuesĀ  such as People-Connect , adoption of a system ofĀ  Skilling, re-skilling, Up-skilling and multi-skilling people about technology, design thinking, storytelling, analytics, Artificial intelligenceĀ  to prepare our workforce to become more competent and talented by enhancing their skill set.
