Faseroptische Szintillationslichtmessung zur Monitorierung von Flüssigkeitsbestrahlung

Ein Messsystem mit potentiellem Einsatz zur Überwachung von Flüssigkeitsbestrahlung wird untersucht. Das Messprinzip basiert auf der Szintillationslichtmessung eines organischen Szintillators über einen Einzelphotonensensor. Die Lichtleitung erfolgt mittels einer optischen Faser. Die Konstanz des Signals dieses Messsystems wird in verschiedenen Strahlungsqualitäten untersucht. Während der Bestrahlung mit Elektronen aus einer 90Sr-Radionuklidquelle kann eine konstante Photonenzählrate gemessen und diese in eine Dosisleistung umgerechnet werden. Bei Messungen im Strahlungsfeld einer Röntgenröhre wird ein deutliches Abfallen der Zählrate während der Bestrahlung beobachtet. Ein zweites Messsystem der gleichen Bauart zeigt ebenfalls dieses Verhalten. Der Photosensor wird als Ursache des Effekts ausgeschlossen. Strahlungsbedingte Änderungen im Absorptionsspektrum des Szintillators werden gefunden. Die Eignung des Systems in der jetzigen Form zur Überwachung der Konstanz von Flüssigkeitsbestrahlung ist aufgrund der schwer korrigierbaren Abnahme des Messsignals in Photonenfeldern nicht gegeben. Bondi-Sachs metrics and Photon Rockets

We study the Bondi-Sachs rockets with nonzero cosmological constant. We observe that the acceleration of the systems arises naturally in the asymptotic symmetries of (anti-) de Sitter spacetimes. Assuming the validity of the concepts of energy and mass previously introduced in asymptotically flat spacetimes, we find that the emission of pure radiation energy balances the loss of the Bondi mass in certain special families of the Bondi-Sachs rockets, so in these there is no gravitational radiation.Comment: 12 pages, to appear in General Relativity and Gravitatio

Pure-radiation gravitational fields with a simple twist and a Killing vector

Pure-radiation solutions are found, exploiting the analogy with the Euler- Darboux equation for aligned colliding plane waves and the Euler-Tricomi equation in hydrodynamics of two-dimensional flow. The dynamics of apparent horizons in Robinson-Trautman spacetimes

We present an alternative scheme of finding apparent horizons based on spectral methods applied to Robinson-Trautman spacetimes. We have considered distinct initial data such as representing the spheroids of matter and the head-on collision of two non-rotating black holes. The evolution of the apparent horizon is presented. We have obtained in some cases a mass gap between the final Bondi and apparent horizon masses, whose implications were briefly commented in the light of the thermodynamics of black holes.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figure
