Introduction: Gallbladder carcinosarcomas (GBCS) are a rare type of gallbladder malignancies. These tumors are characterized by interlaced epithelial and mesenchymal components.Presentation of Case: The experience with diagnosis and follow-up of these cancers is limited because of the number of patients diagnosed with this tumor is so small and the tumor has a poor prognosis. Therefore, we present the following case report to share our experience with a 13-month survival of a 55-year-old woman presenting with right flank pain and jaundice who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy with an initial diagnosis of chronic cholecystitis and later diagnosed with GBCS.Conclusion: GBCS have  poor survival rate even with successful surgical therapy due to unclear etiopathogenesis, extremely very low incidence, and lack of consensus regarding its follow-up and treatment

Introduction: Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) is one of the malignancy and commonly seen in the minor salivary glands and hard palate. The lung is the most common hematogenous spread site,  followed by the bones, liver and brain. Skin and skeletal muscle metastases are very rare.Case Presentation: We present a 59-year-old male operated for a left parotid gland mass five years ago. The excision material was diagnosed as ACC. The patient developed lung metastases after about 10 months. Multiple small masses were noticed on the middle phalanxes of the right hand during a follow-up after five years and were excised. These masses were considered to be skin metastases of the parotideal adenoid cystic carcinoma compared to the parotideal excision. Conclusion: Conclusion: Metastases of the ACC are most commonly seen in the lung, followed by the bone, liver and brain. However, skin and skeletal muscle metastases are rare. A thorough physical examination should be carried out in routine follow-ups and small lesions should not be ignored

Endometriosis localized to urinary bladder wall mimicking urinary bladder carcinoma

Although endometriosis is a common disease in women of reproductive age, urinary system endometriosis is an exceedingly rare disease that may cause important clinical problems. In this paper we discussed a 42-year-old woman who had urinary bladder endometriosis misdiagnosed as urinary bladder tumor in imaging modalities. The diagnosis of endometriosis was made by histopathological examination of the operative material after partial resection of the urinary bladder. Urinary bladder endometriosis causes nonspecific signs and symptoms in many patients. In female patients presenting with unexplained urinary symptoms the differential diagnosis should include urinary bladder endometriosis that may mimic urinary bladder cancer and lead to difficulties in making definitive preoperative diagnosis

This study was conducted to determine effects of lighting program and early feed restriction on performance, stress and meat quality characteristics in broilers. Broilers (320) were randomly assigned to 4 groups based on lighting program (23 h lighting, 1 h dark or 16 h light, 8 h dark/day) and feeding program (ad lib. or feed restriction) with 4 replicates. Broilers in feed restricted group received feed as 50% of daily ad lib. consumption recommendations from 8 to 14 days of age. Final body weight, heterophil-lymphocyte ratio (H/L), tonic immobility (TI) duration and the percentages of total SFA of breast meat were lower, whereas the percentages of PUFA and PUFA/SFA were higher for broilers in feed restricted group than those fed ad lib. H-L ratio and TI duration of broilers exposed to 16L:8D were lower than those exposed to continuous lighting. In conclusion, early feed restriction negatively affected growth performance of broilers. However, broilers subjected to early feed restriction had less fat deposition and healthier fatty acid profile in breast meat and also they had less stress level, compared to ad lib. fed broilers. Lighting program of 16L:8D decreased the stress situation of broilers without any negative effect on production performance and meat quality characteristics

Various racial and geographic differences have been observed on studies questioning the role of EBV infection in the etiology of T- and NK-cell lymphomas, but the search of English literature did not relieve any data from Turkey. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of EBV with nodal or extranodal (skin excluded) T- and NK-cell lymphoma subtypes encountered in our geographic area. Sixty-two cases, diagnosed as nodal or extranodal T- and NK-cell lymphoma during a seven-year period between 1997 and 2004, were retrieved from the archives. EBV-encoded early RNA (EBER) was detected by in-situ hybridization. The age range of the patients was between 11 and 80 years (median, 45 years) and male-to-female ratio was 2.1:1. The incidence of nodal or extranodal T- and NK-cell lymphoma subtypes were as follows with decreasing frequency: 32 peripheral T-cell lymphoma, unspecified (PTCL, NOS, 51.6%), 13 anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL, 21.0%), eight angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITCL, 12.9%), four extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type (NKTCL, 6.5%), three enteropathy-type T-cell lymphoma (ETTCL, 4.8%), one hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma (HSTCL, 1.6%), and one subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL, 1.6%). EBER positivity was observed in 41.9% of all cases. According to the subtypes, 37.5% of PTCL, NOS, 30.7% of ALCL, 62.5% of AITCL, 100% of extranodal NKTCL, nasal type, 33.3% of ETTCL were EBER-positive, and the rest were negative. The evaluation of the results revealed PTCL, NOS as the most prevalent subtype. Extranodal NKTCL, nasal type, presented the highest association with EBV, followed by AITCL, PTCL, NOS, ALCL, and ETTCL. We have concluded that EBV infection comprises an important role in the pathogenesis of nodal or extranodal T- and NK-cell lymphoma in our area.T ve NK hücreli lenfomalar, tüm non-Hodgkin lenfoma (NHL) olgularının yaklaşık %12-15'ini oluşturan, agresif klinik seyir gösteren bir NHL grubudur. Vakaların tanıları T ve NK hücreli lenfoma alt tipleri açısından azalan sıklık sırasına göre değerlendirildiğinde, 32'si (%51,6) periferik T-hücreli lenfoma (PTHL), spesifiye edilemeyen, 13'ü (%21,0) anaplastik büyük hücreli lenfoma (ABHL), sekizi (%12,9) anjioimmünoblastik T-hücreli lenfoma (AİTHL), dördü (%6,5) ekstranodal NK/T hücreli lenfoma, nazal tip, üçü (%4,8) enteropati-tipi T-hücreli lenfoma (ETTHL), biri (%1,6) hepatosplenik T-hücreli lenfoma, biri (%1,6) subkutanöz pannikülit benzeri T-hücreli lenfoma (SPTHL)'dır. Olguların tümünde EBER pozitiflik oranı %41,9'dur. Alt tiplerine göre, PTHL, spesifiye edilemeyen gruptaki olguların %37,5'i, ABHL olgularının %30,7'si, AİTHL olgularının %62,5'i, ekstranodal NK/T-hücreli lenfoma, nazal tip olguların %100'ü, ETTHL olgularının %33,3'ü EBER pozitif bulunmuştur.
