Determining neutralino parameters in Left-Right Supersymmetric Models

We report exact analytical expressions relating the fundamental parameters describing the neutralino sector in the context of the left-right supersymmetric model. The method used for such a effects is the projector formalism deduced without take into account the Jarlskog's projector formulae. Also, expressions for the neutralino masses and the neutralino mixing matrix are determined . The results are compared with numerical and analytical ones obtained in similar scenarios in the context of the minimal supersymmetric standard model.Comment: 34 pages, 23 figure

Observations of Very High Energy Gamma-Rays during Moonlight and Twilight with the MAGIC Telescope

We study the capability of the MAGIC telescope to observe under moderate moonlight. TeV gamma-ray signals from the Crab nebula were detected with the MAGIC telescope during periods when the Moon was above the horizon and during twilight. This was accomplished by increasing the trigger discriminator thresholds. No change is necessary in the high voltage settings since the camera PMTs were especially designed to avoid high currents. We characterize the telescope performance by studying the effect of the moonlight on the gamma-ray detection efficiency and sensitivity, as well as on the energy threshold.Comment: Contribution to the 30th ICRC, Merida Mexico, July 2007 on behalf of the MAGIC Collaboratio

Gamma-ray upper limits on magnetars with 6 years of Fermi-LAT observations

We report on the search for gamma-ray emission from 20 magnetars using 6 years of Fermi, Large Area Telescope (LAT) observations. No significant evidence for gamma-ray emission from any of the currently-known magnetars is found. We derived the most stringent upper limits to date on the 0.1--10 GeV emission of Galactic magnetars, which are estimated between $\sim10^{-12}-10^{-11}$ erg s$^{-1}$ cm$^{-2}$. Gamma-ray pulsations were searched for the four magnetars having reliable ephemerides over the observing period, but none were detected. El creixement generalitzat de la intel·ligència artificial (IA) ha fet que les tecnologies de la llengua siguin més accessibles que mai i ha portat aquesta tecnologia a la nostra vida diària. Tanmateix, el desenvolupament accelerat de la tecnologia lingüística comporta intrínsecament un biaix cap a una perspectiva anglocèntrica i eurocèntrica, que té com a resultat una representació i un reconeixement limitats de les llengües minoritzades. És ben sabut que la presència d’una llengua en línia en garanteix la supervivència. En aquest article explorem la història d’èxit del català, una llengua minoritzada amb una comunitat activa en línia, que ha establert les bases per al desenvolupament de les tecnologies de la llengua. La història d’èxit de la comunitat catalanoparlant demostra que les comunitats poden tenir un paper important en la supervivència i en l’evolució de les llengües minoritzades en l’era digital.The widespread growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made language technology more accessible than ever before, bringing language technology into our daily lives. Nevertheless, the rapid development of language technology intrinsically carries a bias towards Anglo-centric and Euro-centric perspectives, leading to limited representation and recognition for minoritized languages. It is a fact that the online presence of a language ensures its survival. This article explores the success story of Catalan, a minoritized language with an active online community, which has laid the foundations for language technology development.
