A Time-Periodic Lyapunov Approach for Motion Planning of Controllable Driftless Systems on SU(n)

For a right-invariant and controllable driftless system on SU(n), we consider a time-periodic reference trajectory along which the linearized control system generates su(n): such trajectories always exist and constitute the basic ingredient of Coron's Return Method. The open-loop controls that we propose, which rely on a left-invariant tracking error dynamics and on a fidelity-like Lyapunov function, are determined from a finite number of left-translations of the tracking error and they assure global asymptotic convergence towards the periodic reference trajectory. The role of these translations is to avoid being trapped in the critical region of this Lyapunov-like function. The convergence proof relies on a periodic version of LaSalle's invariance principle and the control values are determined by numerical integration of the dynamics of the system. Simulations illustrate the obtained controls for n=4n=4 and the generation of the C--NOT quantum gate.Comment: Submitte

STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE DIAMETER OF MODIFIED TOOLS WITH INTERNAL COOLING CHANNELS UNDER DIFFERENT THERMAL FLOWS

    Get PDF
In this work, the effect on heat generation at the chip-machine tool interface was studied by varying the diameter of internal grooves of a tool for the turning process. This tool is modified with internal channels that circulate water as a coolant through a closed system. As an output parameter, the maximum cutting temperature at the chip-tool interface was studied. The input parameters were the thermal flux present at the chip-tool interface and the diameter of the internal channels present in the cutting tool. All the analysis of variation of the internal channels of the tools and also of the thermal flow exerted on the chip-tool interface were carried out using the finite element method by the Ansys® Workbench 19.2 software. The main one was that the variation in the diameter of the tool's internal grooves does not expressly impact the machining specifications

Quark matter revisited with non extensive MIT bag model

In this work we revisit the MIT bag model to describe quark matter within both the usual Fermi-Dirac and the Tsallis statistics. We verify the effects of the non-additivity of the latter by analysing two different pictures: the first order phase transition of the QCD phase diagram and stellar matter properties. While, the QCD phase diagram is visually affected by the Tsallis statistics, the resulting effects on quark star macroscopic properties are barely noticed.Comment: 10 pagens, 5 figure

Canonical Quantization of the Maxwell-Chern-Simons Theory in the Coulomb Gauge

    Get PDF
The Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory is canonically quantized in the Coulomb gauge by using the Dirac bracket quantization procedure. The determination of the Coulomb gauge polarization vector turns out to be intrincate. A set of quantum Poincar\'e densities obeying the Dirac-Schwinger algebra, and, therefore, free of anomalies, is constructed. The peculiar analytical structure of the polarization vector is shown to be at the root for the existence of spin of the massive gauge quanta. The Coulomb gauge Feynman rules are used to compute the M\"oller scattering amplitude in the lowest order of perturbation theory. The result coincides with that obtained by using covariant Feynman rules. This proof of equivalence is, afterwards, extended to all orders of perturbation theory. The so called infrared safe photon propagator emerges as an effective propagator which allows for replacing all the terms in the interaction Hamiltonian of the Coulomb gauge by the standard field-current minimal interaction Hamiltonian.Comment: 21 pages, typeset in REVTEX, figures not include
