    County-level integrated media center promotes cultural inheritance and innovation with "short video" as the carrier

    As a public opinion position to convey the spirit of the Party Central Committee and national policies, the Integrated Media Center plays a vital role in publicity work. Our country is vigorously promoting rural revitalization. Whether it can properly define its role and clarify its work priorities is directly related to the new tasks under the new situation in an all-round way. The popularization of the Internet has enabled many rural users to sell agricultural products and promote rural culture through short videos, which has gained considerable economic and social benefits. However, there are also some problems in the process that hinder further development. The integrated media center has the advantages of understanding the direction of publicity, familiar with the local economic and cultural development, and mastering the production of short videos. If the integrated media assists in the production and promotion of short videos, it will have better publicity effects. This article analyzes the problems in the promotion process of short videos for rural users, in order to establish effective working ideas for the media center and promote local cultural inheritance and innovation

    Factors correlated with personal growth initiative among college students: A meta-analysis

    In higher education, Personal growth initiative (PGI) has been the focus of attention, personal growth initiative is a fundamental mechanism for individual advancement, equipping college students with the resilience to navigate obstacles and bolstering self-enhancement. The present study comprehensively synthesizes existing research on the factors correlated with personal growth initiative among collegiate populations, aims to identify all correlated factors of college students' personal growth initiative, and the level of correlation. A systematic search was conducted through Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, JSTOR, PsycINFO, ScienceDirect, and Wiley Online Library, as well as manually search in Google Schalor, spanning to collate research on college students' personal growth initiative. Quantitative synthesis was performed using STATA 17, while sensitivity was tested using a change effect model approach and publication bias was assessed employing Egger's test. After applying the Bonferroni correction, this study found that 18 factors were significantly positively correlated with college students' personal growth initiative, including 4 high-level correlated factors, 10 medium-level correlated factors, and 4 low-level correlated factors, as well as 4 factors were significantly negatively correlated, including 1 medium-level correlated factor and 3 low-level correlated factors. These findings offer valuable insights into personal growth initiative among college students, and the reference for educators and institutional leaders aiming to foster personal growth initiative for college student self-development

    Study on early cognitive function in transgenic APP/PS-1/tau mice model of Alzheimer's disease

    Objective In the present experiment we investigate the behavior of 4-month-old transgenic APP/PS-1/tau mice model with Alzheimer's disease (3 × Tg-AD mice) to evaluate their abilities of spatial learning and memory. We observe the changes of synaptic plasticity and soluble amyloid-β protein 42 (Aβ42) expression in the CA1 region of hippocampus to explore the mechanism of early cognitive impairment of 3 × Tg-AD mice.  Methods Ten 4-month-old male 3 × Tg-AD mice and matched ten 129/C57BL/6 hybrid wild type (WT) mice were enrolled. The open field test and Morris water maze test were conducted to observe emotion disorder and ability of spatial learning and memory. Field excitatory postsynaptic potential (fEPSP) and theta burst stimulation (TBS)-induced long-term potentiation (LTP) were recorded in CA1 region of hippocampus. The expression changes of soluble Aβ42 in hippocampus were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).  Results The open field test showed that there was no significant differences between 3 × Tg-AD group and control group, which indicated that there was no obvious anxiety tendency in 4-month-old 3 × Tg-AD mice. Compared with control group, 3 × Tg-AD group mice had significantly longer escape latency from the 3rd to 5th day (P = 0.001, 0.003, 0.001) and lower percentage of time through the platform area (P = 0.000). LTP induced by TBS in CA1 region of hippocampus of 3 × Tg-AD group decreased significantly (P &lt; 0.01, for all) compared with that of control group. In contrast to control group, the expression of soluble Aβ42 in the hippocampus of 3 × Tg-AD mice group increased significantly (P = 0.000).  Conclusions The expression of soluble Aβ42 in the hippocampus of 4-month-old 3 × Tg-AD mice increased significantly, which impaired synaptic plasticity in CA1 region of hippocampus and led to a significant decline in spatial learning and memory ability. DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1672-6731.2015.05.012</p

    IKKβ Is Essential for Adipocyte Survival and Adaptive Adipose Remodeling in Obesity

    IκB kinase β (IKKβ), a central coordinator of inflammatory responses through activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), has been implicated as a critical molecular link between inflammation and metabolic disorders; however, the role of adipocyte IKKβ in obesity and related metabolic disorders remains elusive. Here we report an essential role of IKKβ in the regulation of adipose remodeling and adipocyte survival in diet-induced obesity. Targeted deletion of IKKβ in adipocytes does not affect body weight, food intake, and energy expenditure but results in an exaggerated diabetic phenotype when challenged with a high-fat diet (HFD). IKKβ-deficient mice have multiple histopathologies in visceral adipose tissue, including increased adipocyte death, amplified macrophage infiltration, and defective adaptive adipose remodeling. Deficiency of IKKβ also leads to increased adipose lipolysis, elevated plasma free fatty acid (FFA) levels, and impaired insulin signaling. Mechanistic studies demonstrated that IKKβ is a key adipocyte survival factor and that IKKβ protects murine and human adipocytes from HFD- or FFA-elicited cell death through NF-κB–dependent upregulation of antiapoptotic proteins and NF-κB–independent inactivation of proapoptotic BAD protein.
