    Higher Dimensional Inhomogeneous Perfect Fluid Collapse in \emph{f(R)} Gravity

    This paper is about the n+2n+2-dimensional gravitational contraction of inhomogeneous fluid without heat flux in the framework of f(R)f(R) metric theory of gravity. Matching conditions for two regions of a star has been derived by using the Darmois junction conditions. For the analytic solution of equations of motion in modified f(R)f(R) theory of gravity, we have taken scalar curvature as constant. Hence final result of gravitational collapse in this frame work is the existence of black hole and cosmological horizons, both of these form earlier than singularity. It has been shown that constant curvature term f(R0)f(R_{0}) (R0R_0 is constant scalar curvature) slows down the collapsing process.Comment: 17 Pages, to appear in European Physical Journal

    EMPLOYEE INVOLVEMENT EFFECT ON REDUCING JOB STRESS

    This study has adopted the quantitative research approach for collecting data from different branches of the Bank of Khyber that are operating in the vicinity of the Saddar region, Peshawar city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The sample size consists of 60 employees. A total of 18 questions were asked based on the 5-point Likert scale responses. In order to perform numerous procedures, SPSS is used to analyse statistical tests in this study. Regression analysis is employed to test the hypothesis. Employee participation in the organization improves the overall productivity and contributes to organizational improvement. Job stress has a negative influence on the employee job performance. The results indicate that there is a negative and significant relationship between the employee’s involvement and employee job stress. Although job stress is a negative phenomenon and may have a positive impact on the performance of the employees and eventually the organization

    Organizational Resilience: A Dynamic Capability of Complex Systems

    In recent years, the concept of organizational resilience has largely attracted the interest of academicians and practitioners alike. A fair number of researches have been conducted on developing the concept of organizational resilience. However, there seems to be a lack of consensus over its conceptualization mainly because the concept itself is prodigious and is used in a variety of disciplines. Furthermore, research within the domain of organizational resilience has been outcome oriented; however, questions addressing the drivers of resilience are yet to be answered. On the other hand, research within the domain of dynamic capabilities view have long been criticized as tautological, resistant to operationalization, and lacking the unification of thought. However, there exists a sufficient degree of conceptual similitude between the two concepts, mainly due to their epistemological similarities grounded within the theoretical assumptions of chaotic systems, environmental dynamism, and systems thinking. Incorporating both perspectives in parallel for understanding the theoretical connections can lead to clarifications at an ontological level. Therefore, this paper attempts to propose a holistic model of organizational resilience by incorporating a lens metaphor of dynamic capabilities view. This paper is divided into four sections. The first section of this paper lays down the multidisciplinary discourses within the realm of organizational resilience. The second section highlights the management discourse about the conceptualization of organizational resilience. The third section of this paper uses a lens metaphor of dynamic capabilities view in an attempt to add depth to the concept of organizational resilience. The fourth and the final section attempts to propose the drivers of organizational resilience from a strategic viewpoint

    Orthokeratinized odontogenic cyst (OOC): Clinicopathological and radiological features of a series of 10 cases

    Background: Orthokeratinized Odontogenic Cyst (OOC) is a rare, developmental odontogenic cyst which was considered in the past to be a variant of Odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) later renamed as keratocystic odontogenic tumor (KCOT). The treatment of OOC is by enucleation and the prognosis, following enucleation is excellent with a recurrence rate of less than 2%. On the other hand, OKC has a recurrence rate between 8 and 25% after enucleation. Thus it is important to differentiate between the two entities.Methods: All cases reported in our section as OOC during the period 2013 to 2018 were retrieved from the surgical pathology files and slides were reviewed by the authors. All cases which met the histological criteria for OOC were included.Results: A total of 10 cases were included. 70% patients were males, ages ranged from 23 to 60 years, with mean age of 38.9 years. 70% of cases were located in the mandible and 90% patients presented with swelling. Radiologically, 90% cases were unilocular, all were radiolucent lesions. Mean size was 4.0 cm. Histologically, all cases demonstrated the classic microscopic features. Follow-up was available in 8 patients. All were treated by enucleation. All 8 were alive with no recurrences over a follow-up period ranging from 7 to 62 months.Conclusions: OOC has a better prognosis than OKC and needs to be differentiated from OKC due to differences in treatment and prognosis. Large majority of our cases presented with swelling and occurred in the mandibles of young males. All were radiolucent and most were unilocular. All were treated by enucleation and no recurrences occurred over follow up period ranging up to 62 months. Our findings were similar to those described in other published series
