    Link between \emph{Zitterbewegung} and topological phase transition

    Topological quantum state described by the global invariant has been extensively studied in theory and experiment. In this letter, we investigate the relationship between \emph{Zitterbewegung} and the topology of systems that reflect the properties of the local and whole energy bands, respectively. We generalize the usual two-band effective Hamiltonian to characterize the topological phase transition of the spin-JJ topological insulator. By studying \emph{Zitterbewegung} dynamics before and after topological phase transition, we find that the direction of quasiparticles' oscillation can well reflect topological properties. Furthermore, we develop a quantitative calculation formula for the topological invariant in the spin-JJ Chern insulator and give the selection rule of the corresponding dynamics. Finally, we demonstrate that our theory is valid in different topological systems. The topological invariant can be represented by local dynamical properties of the high-symmetry points in the first Brillouin zone, which provides a new measurement method from the dynamical perspective.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure.     Single-photon-triggered quantum chaos

    We demonstrate how to manipulate quantum chaos with a single photon in a hybrid quantum device combining cavity QED and optomechanics. Specifically, we show that this system changes between integrable and chaotic relying on the photon-state of the injected field. This onset of chaos originates from the photon-dependent chaotic threshold of the qubit-field coupling induced by the optomechanical interaction. By deriving the Loschmidt Echo we observe clear differences in the sensitivity to perturbations in the regular versus chaotic regimes. We also present classical analog of this chaotic behavior, and find good correspondence between chaotic quantum dynamics and classical physics. Our work opens up a new route to achieve quantum manipulations, which are crucial elements in engineering new types of on-chip quantum devices and quantum information science.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure

    A Type of Hysteretic Nonlinear Model of Piezoelectric Sensor

    In this paper, a type of hysteretic constitutive model of piezoelectric sensor was proposed. Nonlinear differential terms were developed to express the hysteresis phenomena of displacement-voltage relationship of piezoelectric ceramics. Based on the model, the dynamic model of a PZT sensor was established. The nonlinear dynamic behaviours of a PZT sensor were analyzed, and the relationship between the outside excitation and the voltage of a PZT sensor was obtained. Theoretical results show that there are many kinds of frequencies in the output voltage, which are caused by the PZT’s hysteresis characteristics

    A kind of constitutive model of SMA is proposed in this paper, and the nonlinear dynamic response of a SMA gripper under bounded noise is studied. The harmonic driving signals and the random disturbance made up of bounded noise. The dynamic model of the system is established by Hamilton principle. The numerical and experimental results show that there is stochastic resonance in the system; the system’s vibration amplitude reaches the most when the outside excitation is moderate
