In the title compound (r.m.s. deviation for the non-H atoms = 0.020 Å), C10H6Br2O2, an intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, the same H atom also forms an intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bond, generating a C(2) chain propagating in [100]. The other O—H hydrogen forms a weak O—H⋯π interaction, and short Br⋯Br contacts [3.5972 (9) Å] also occur

Spiral Deployment of Optical Fiber Sensors for Distributed Strain Measurement in Seven-Wire Twisted Steel Cables, Post-Tensioned Against Precast Concrete Bars

On-time monitoring and condition assessments of steel cables provide mission-critical data for informed decision making, ensuring the structural safety of post-tensioned concrete structures. This study aimed to develop a spiral deployment scheme of distributed fiber optic sensors (DFOS) and to monitor/assess the post-tensioned force in seven-wire twisted steel cables, based on the pulse-pre-pump Brillouin optical time domain analysis. Each DFOS was placed in a spiral shape between two surface wires of a steel cable and glued to the steel cable by epoxy. Image observations were conducted to investigate the entireness and bonding condition between the optical fiber and the steel wires. Eight concrete bar specimens were cast, each with a pre-embedded plastic or metal duct at its center and each was post-tensioned by a steel strand through the duct once they were instrumented with two strain and two temperature sensors. The strand was loaded/unloaded and monitored by measuring the Brillouin frequency shifts and correlating them with the applied strains and the resulting cable force after temperature compensation. The maximum, minimum, and average cable forces integrated from the measured stain data were compared and validated with those from a load cell. The maximum (or average) cable force was linearly related to the ground truth data with a less than 10% error between them, after any initial slack had been removed from the test setup. The post-tensioned force loss was bounded by approximately 30%, using the test setup designed in this study

Pharmaceutical enterprises drug quality strategy Moran analysis considering government supervision and new media participation

The improvement of drug quality requires not only the supervision of government, but also the participation of new media. Therefore, this paper considers the impact of government regulation and new media reports on pharmaceutical enterprises, constructs a Moran Process evolutionary game model, and analyzes the evolution trajectory of pharmaceutical enterprises' choice of drug quality improvement strategy and drug cost reduction strategy. We obtain the conditions for the two strategies to achieve evolutionary stability under the dominance of external factors and the dominance of expected returns. To verify the theoretical results, we conduct a numerical simulation by the software MATLAB 2021b. The results show that, first of all, when the government penalty is high, the drug quality improvement strategy tends to become an evolutionary stable solution, increasing the penalty amount will help promote the improvement of drug quality. What's more, when the government penalty is low and the new media influence is low, the drug cost reduction strategy is easier to dominate. The higher the new media influence, the higher the probability that pharmaceutical enterprises choose the drug quality improvement strategy. Thirdly, when the number of pharmaceutical enterprises is lower than a threshold, the drug quality improvement strategy is easier to dominate. Finally, the drug quality improvement strategy is dominant when the quality cost factor is low and the government penalty is high, the drug cost reduction strategy is dominant when the quality cost factor is high and the government penalty is low. Above all, this paper provides countermeasures and suggestions for the drug quality improvement of pharmaceutical enterprises in practice

The title compound, C12H10N2O2, was obtained unintentionally during the synthesis of 2-amino-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)furan-3-carbonitrile. In the crystal, weak intermolecular C—H⋯N and C—H⋯π interactions link the molecules into columns propagating in [010]

Blow-up for the compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations

summary:We will show the blow-up of smooth solutions to the Cauchy problems for compressible unipolar isentropic Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations with attractive forcing and compressible bipolar isentropic Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations in arbitrary dimensions under some restrictions on the initial data. The key of the proof is finding the relations between the physical quantities and establishing some differential inequalities

Preliminary Bond Capacity Exploration between Monolayer Graphene and Cementitious Composites

This Study Aims to Explore Bond Capacity between Monolayer Graphene and Cementitious Composites for the First Time through a Pullout Test. the Low-Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition Method Was Used to Synthesize Monolayer Graphene on the Copper Substrate to Be Embedded in the Mortar Made by the Briquette Mold. the Bond Capacity between Them Was Higher Than the Tensile Strength of the Copper Sheet with As-Grown Monolayer Graphene on the Surface Since All Specimens Failed in Fracture with Embedment Length of More Than 30 Mm. the Monolayer Graphene Enhanced the Copper Tensile Fracture Stress and Normalized Energy during the Test as the Copper Sheet Width Increased. This Short Communication Explores a New Path to Quantify the Bond between the Monolayer Graphene and the Mortar to Promote the Understanding of the Behavior of Graphene-Enhanced Cementitious Composites

Synthesis of novel substituted N-aryl benzamides as hA3G stabilizers and their inhibitory activities against hepatitis C virus replication

    Get PDF
AbstractA series of novel amino-substituted N-aryl benzamide analogs were synthesized and evaluated for their ability to inhibit hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication in acutely infected Huh7.5 cells. Most of the substituted N-aryl benzamide compounds showed convincing anti-HCV activities. Compounds 1f, 1g and 4c exhibited potent anti-replicative activity at low micromolar levels (IC50=1.0–2.0μM) with selective indices (SI) greater than 40. Mechanistic analysis indicated that the active compounds increased intracellular hA3G protein levels and inhibited HCV replication in a dose-dependent manner. The results demonstrate that this series of substituted N-aryl benzamide compounds warrant further investigation as inhibitors of HCV replication

We establish the Lp boundedness for some commutators of oscillatory singular integrals with the kernel condition which was introduced by Grafakos and Stefanov. Our theorems contain various conditions on the phase function
