Estimating Chinese Interprovincial OutPut Spillovers with Provincial Input-Output Tables

    Get PDF
This paper aims at estimating productivity improvement of Chinese 17 relatively backward provinces in manufactures through importing manufactured intermediates from advanced provinces on the basis of just published 2002 national and provincial input-output tables. As Chinese regional inequality remains large, North-South spillover models of trade are appropriate to guide this study. Applying reliable methods to approximate net interprovincial imports by province and sector and the allocation of imported manufactured inputs among sectors within each province, we use a Cob-Douglas production function incorporating Dixit-Stiglitz type increasing returns to variety to deal with the manufactured inputs, and treat the output spillovers as one part of total factor productivity. According to our estimations, as expected, interprovincial imports of manufactured inputs have significant impacts on industrial sectors as well on all sectors of these provinces.Chinese interprovincial trade;North-South spillovers;input-output tables;regional inequality;imported intermediates

AbstractObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between periostin and SNCG and esophageal cancer invasion, infiltration and apoptosis.MethodsA total of 78 cases esophageal surgical resection specimens were collected, expression of periostin and SNCG in esophageal cancer were detected. Effect of periostin and SNCG in esophageal carcinoma invasion and infiltration was analyzed.ResultsThe upregulated rate of periostin had significant difference in esophageal cancer tissues (39.74%), adjacent tissues (17.86%) and normal tissues (0.00%); The positive expression rates of SNCG had significant difference in esophageal cancer tissues (61.54%), adjacent tissues (32.14%) and normal tissues (1.96%); The upregulated rate of periostin had a significant correlation with lymph node metastasis, adventitia invasion, TNM stage; The positive expression rates of SNCG had a significant correlation with differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis, adventitia invasion, TNM stage; Apoptosis index of the positive of expression of SNCG of esophageal cancer tissue (4.541±2.267) was significantly lower than that of the negative expression (7.316±2.582) (P<0.05).ConclusionsSNCG may play an important role in invasion, infiltration and apoptosis of esophageal cancer and serve as target spots in the targeted therapy of esophageal cancer

In the title compound, C20H17N3O3, the dihedral angles between the central pyridine ring and the two terminal rings are 15.07 (3) and 43.24 (3)°. The dihedral angle between the two terminal rings is 37.49 (4)° In the crystal, intermolecular amine N—H⋯Nnitrile hydrogen-bonding interactions form inversion dimers, which are linked into chains through amine N—H⋯Omethoxy hydrogen bonds

In the title compound, C25H32O7, the 3-hydroxy-5,5-dimethylcyclohex-2-enone rings adopt slightly distorted envelope conformations with the two planes at the base of the envelope forming dihedral angles of 57.6 (4) and 53.9 (9)° with the benzene ring. There is an intramolecular hydroxy–ketone O—H⋯O interaction between the two substituted cyclohexane rings as well as a short intramolecular phenol–methoxy O—H⋯O interaction

High-frequency structural-acoustic analysis using an unstructured zero-order energy FEM formulation

    Get PDF
Based on the governing equations of energy flow analysis in plate and acoustic domain, an unstructured zero-order energy finite element method (uEFEM0) formulation is presented to simulate the high-frequency behavior of plate structures in contact with acoustic cavities. The new formulation is derived using EFEM0, in which the energy primary variable is conserved in each element. The bending, longitudinal, and shear wave fields in the plates are all included. By meshing plates with triangular grids and cavities with tetrahedral grids, this new formulation can be easily used for modeling structures with arbitrary shape. The formulation is validated by comparing the results obtained from uEFEM0 with those from statistical energy analysis and literature. Good correlations are observed, and the advantages of the uEFEM0 formulation are identified

Disordered and Multiple Destinations Path Planning Methods for Mobile Robot in Dynamic Environment

In the smart home environment, aiming at the disordered and multiple destinations path planning, the sequencing rule is proposed to determine the order of destinations. Within each branching process, the initial feasible path set is generated according to the law of attractive destination. A sinusoidal adaptive genetic algorithm is adopted. It can calculate the crossover probability and mutation probability adaptively changing with environment at any time. According to the cultural-genetic algorithm, it introduces the concept of reducing turns by parallelogram and reducing length by triangle in the belief space, which can improve the quality of population. And the fallback strategy can help to jump out of the “U” trap effectively. The algorithm analyses the virtual collision in dynamic environment with obstacles. According to the different collision types, different strategies are executed to avoid obstacles. The experimental results show that cultural-genetic algorithm can overcome the problems of premature and convergence of original algorithm effectively. It can avoid getting into the local optimum. And it is more effective for mobile robot path planning. Even in complex environment with static and dynamic obstacles, it can avoid collision safely and plan an optimal path rapidly at the same time

    On Capped Higgs Positivity Cone

The Wilson coefficients of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory are subject to a series of positivity bounds. It has been shown that, while the positivity part of the UV partial wave unitarity leads to the Wilson coefficients living in a convex cone, further including the non-positivity part caps the cone from above. For the Higgs scattering, a capped positivity cone have been obtained using a simplified, linear unitarity conditions and without utilizing the full internal symmetries of the Higgs scattering. Here we further implement the stronger nonlinear unitarity conditions from the UV, which generically gives rise to better bounds. We show that, for the Higgs case in particular, while the nonlinear unitarity conditions per se do not enhance the bounds, the fuller use of the internal symmetries do shrink the capped positivity cone significantly.Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures, invited contribution to JUST
