Supersymmetric massive truncations of IIb supergravity on Sasaki-Einstein manifolds
Motivated by recent interest in applications of the AdS/CFT correspondence to
condensed matter applications involving fermions, we present the supersymmetric
completion of the recent massive truncations of IIB supergravity on
Sasaki-Einstein manifolds. In particular, we reduce the fermionic sector of IIB
supergravity to obtain five dimensional N=2 supergravity coupled to one
hypermultiplet and one massive vector multiplet. The supersymmetry
transformations and equations of motion are presented and analyzed. Finally, a
particularly interesting truncation to N=2 supergravity coupled to a single
hypermultiplet is presented which is the supersymmetric completion of the
recently constructed bosonic theory dual to a 3+1 dimensional system exhibiting
a superconducting phase transition.Comment: v2:reference added, equations simplified, minor typos fixed;

Consistent Truncations of IIB Supergravity and a Holographic c-theorem for Higher Derivative Gravity.
We discuss two aspects of AdS/CFT. The first is the compactification and consistent truncation of type IIB supergravity on a five-dimensional squashed Sasaki-Einstein manifold. The second is an extension of the holographic c-theorem in arbitrary even dimensions to the case of bulk actions built out of higher curvature terms.
We first derive the full bosonic and fermionic spectrum of fields for IIB supergravity compactified on a five-dimensional squashed Sasaki-Einstein manifold. Under certain ansatz, we truncate the ten dimensional fields of IIB supergravity into five dimensional fields up to the second Kaluza-Klein tower. The consistency of the truncation is proved. We group the Kaluza-Klein modes up to the second level into super-conformal field theory multiplets, and discuss potential applications of such truncations for the AdS/condensed matter correspondence.
On the c-theorem side, we extend the holographic c-theorem proof into arbitrary even-dimensional gravity built of Lovelock terms. We also explore additional conditions that holographic c-theorems hold for the gravity action built of arbitrary f(R) and f(R_abcd) higher derivative terms.PHDPhysicsUniversity of Michigan, Horace H. Consistent massive truncations of IIB supergravity on Sasaki-Einstein manifolds
Recent work on holographic superconductivity and gravitational duals of
systems with non-relativistic conformal symmetry have made use of consistent
truncations of D=10 and D=11 supergravity retaining some massive modes in the
Kaluza-Klein tower. In this paper we focus on reductions of IIB supergravity to
five dimensions on a Sasaki-Einstein manifold, and extend these previous
truncations to encompass the entire bosonic sector of gauged D=5, N=2
supergravity coupled to massive multiplets up to the second Kaluza-Klein level.
We conjecture that a necessary condition for the consistency of massive
truncations is to only retain the lowest modes in the massive trajectories of
the Kaluza-Klein mode decomposition of the original fields. This is an
extension of the well-known result that consistent truncations may be obtained
by restricting to the singlet sector of the internal symmetry group.Comment: 27 pages, typos corrected and references adde
A novel actuator-internal micro/nano positioning stage with an arch-shape bridge type amplifier
This paper presents a novel actuator-internal two degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) micro/nano positioning stage actuated by piezoelectric (PZT) actuators, which can be used as a fine actuation part in dual-stage system. To compensate the positioning error of coarse stage and achieve a large motion stroke, a symmetrical structure with an arch-shape bridge type amplifier based on single notch circular flexure hinges is proposed and utilized in the positioning stage. Due to the compound bridge arm configuration and compact flexure hinge structure, the amplification mechanism can realize high lateral stiffness and compact structure simultaneously, which is of great importance to protect PZT actuators. The amplification mechanism is integrated into the decoupling mechanism to improve compactness, and to produce decoupled motion in X- and Y- axes. An analytical model is established to explore the static and dynamic characteristics, and the geometric parameters are optimized. The performance of the positioning stage is evaluated through finite element analysis (FEA) and experimental test. The results indicate that the stage can implement 2-DOF decoupled motion with a travel range of 55.4Ă—53.2 ÎĽm2, and the motion resolution is 8 nm. The stage can be used in probe tip-based micro/nano scratching
Improved Video Advertising Inventory Tracking and New Opportunity Definition
This disclosure provides for a method for tracking and reporting streams and pods in video advertising inventory sharing. The present disclosure can provide for enhanced visibility into inventory allocation. The enhanced visibility can include populating data structures with various dimensions associated with video content streams. The data structures can be obtained by an inventory share pipeline. The inventory share pipeline can aggregate data associated with various advertisement slots to generate an output data structure comprising an inventory share report. The inventory share report can include a stream count and a pod count associated with the respective party of the inventory share agreement. For instance, the partner and the host can visualize a number of streams (e.g., continuous video content stream) or pod count (e.g., a number of advertisement pods within a stream) that were allocated to the respective party. Thus, the parties are provided with a more granular view of how the percentage of content slots were distributed (e.g., by stream or pod opposed to a percentage of the entire available content slots).
Additionally, the present disclosure provides for a new definition of inventory share opportunity. Unlike existing methods that determine a rough estimate of inventory share opportunities based on measured advertisement impressions, the present disclosure provides for a temporally based measure of inventory shares. For instance, the present disclosure utilizes a predetermined standard duration of an opportunity and divides pods based on the temporal duration to determine a number of inventory share opportunities
Trinity: Syncretizing Multi-/Long-tail/Long-term Interests All in One
Interest modeling in recommender system has been a constant topic for
improving user experience, and typical interest modeling tasks (e.g.
multi-interest, long-tail interest and long-term interest) have been
investigated in many existing works. However, most of them only consider one
interest in isolation, while neglecting their interrelationships. In this
paper, we argue that these tasks suffer from a common "interest amnesia"
problem, and a solution exists to mitigate it simultaneously. We figure that
long-term cues can be the cornerstone since they reveal multi-interest and
clarify long-tail interest. Inspired by the observation, we propose a novel and
unified framework in the retrieval stage, "Trinity", to solve interest amnesia
problem and improve multiple interest modeling tasks. We construct a real-time
clustering system that enables us to project items into enumerable clusters,
and calculate statistical interest histograms over these clusters. Based on
these histograms, Trinity recognizes underdelivered themes and remains stable
when facing emerging hot topics. Trinity is more appropriate for large-scale
industry scenarios because of its modest computational overheads. Its derived
retrievers have been deployed on the recommender system of Douyin,
significantly improving user experience and retention. We believe that such
practical experience can be well generalized to other scenarios
Why does frugality influence the recycling intention of waste materials?
Waste recycling significantly impacts the sustainable development of society and the ecological environment, contributing to a vital role within the waste management hierarchy. This paper presents a research model that investigates the influence mechanism of consumers’ frugality on their recycling intentions. This study collected 420 valid samples to test the model with regression analysis. The empirical results show that consumers’ frugality exerts a direct and positive effect on their recycling intention. Except for the positive direct effect, perceived value mediates the relationship between frugality and recycling intention. Besides, environmental concern strengthens the positive relationship between frugality and recycling intention. The findings of this study can better explain the recycling intention, thereby providing a basis for the government and enterprises to formulate policies and measures to promote recycling behavior
