    Sparse decomposition based on ADMM dictionary learning for fault feature extraction of rolling element bearing

    Sparse decomposition is a novel method for the fault diagnosis of rolling element bearing, whether the construction of dictionary model is good or not will directly affect the results of sparse decomposition. In order to effectively extract the fault characteristics of rolling element bearing, a sparse decomposition method based on the over-complete dictionary learning of alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is presented in this paper. In the process of dictionary learning, ADMM is used to update the atoms of the dictionary. Compared with the K-SVD dictionary learning and non-learning dictionary method, the learned ADMM dictionary has a better structure and faster speed in the sparse decomposition. The ADMM dictionary learning method combined with the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) is used to implement the sparse decomposition of the vibration signal. The envelope spectrum technique is used to analyze the results of the sparse decomposition for the fault feature extraction of the rolling element bearing. The experimental results show that the ADMM dictionary learning method can updates the dictionary atoms to better fit the original signal data than K-SVD dictionary learning, the high frequency noise in the vibration signal of the rolling bearing can be effectively suppressed, and the fault characteristic frequency can be highlighted, which is very favorable for the fault diagnosis of the rolling element bearing

    Spatial Analysis of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus Epidemic among Men Who Have Sex with Men in China, 2006–2015

    Background: Studies have shown a recent upsurge in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) burden among men who have sex with men (MSM) in China, especially in urban areas. For intervention planning and resource allocation, spatial analyses of HIV/AIDS case-clusters were required to identify epidemic foci and trends among MSM in China. Methods: Information regarding MSM recorded as HIV/AIDS cases during 2006-2015 were extracted from the National Case Reporting System. Demographic trends were determined through Cochran-Armitage trend tests. Distribution of case-clusters was examined using spatial autocorrelation. Spatial-temporal scan was used to detect disease clustering. Spatial correlations between cases and socioenvironmental factors were determined by spatial regression. Results: Between 2006 and 2015, in China, 120 371 HIV/AIDS cases were identified among MSM. Newly identified HIV/AIDS cases among self-reported MSM increased from 487 cases in 2006 to >30 000 cases in 2015. Among those HIV/AIDS cases recorded during 2006-2015, 47.0% were 20-29 years old and 24.9% were aged 30-39 years. Based on clusters of HIV/AIDS cases identified through spatial analysis, the epidemic was concentrated among MSM in large cities. Spatial-temporal clusters contained municipalities, provincial capitals, and main cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Guangzhou. Spatial regression analysis showed that sociodemographic indicators such as population density, per capita gross domestic product, and number of county-level medical institutions had statistically significant positive correlations with HIV/AIDS among MSM. Conclusions: Assorted spatial analyses revealed an increasingly concentrated HIV epidemic among young MSM in Chinese cities, calling for targeted health education and intensive interventions at an early age

    Spatiotemporal Scan and Age-Period-Cohort Analysis of Hepatitis C Virus in Henan, China: 2005–2012

    Background: Studies have shown that hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection increased during the past decades in China. However, little evidence is available on when, where, and who were infected with HCV. There are gaps in knowledge on the epidemiological burden and evolution of the HCV epidemic in China. Methods: Data on HCV cases were collected by the disease surveillance system from 2005 to 2012 to explore the epidemic in Henan province. Spatiotemporal scan statistics and age-period-cohort (APC) model were used to examine the effects of age, period, birth cohort, and spatiotemporal clustering. Results: 177,171 HCV cases were reported in Henan province between 2005 and 2012. APC modelling showed that the HCV reported rates significantly increased in people aged > 50 years. A moderate increase in HCV reported rates was observed for females aged about 25 years. HCV reported rates increased over the study period. Infection rates were greatest among people born between 1960 and 1980. People born around 1970 had the highest relative risk of HCV infection. Women born between 1960 and 1980 had a five-fold increase in HCV infection rates compared to men, for the same birth cohort. Spatiotemporal mapping showed major clustering of cases in northern Henan, which probably evolved much earlier than other areas in the province. Conclusions: Spatiotemporal mapping and APC methods are useful to help delineate the evolution of the HCV epidemic. Birth cohort should be part of the criteria screening programmes for HCV in order to identify those at highest risk of infection and unaware of their status. As Henan is unique in the transmission route for HCV, these methods should be used in other high burden provinces to help identify subpopulations at risk

    Reinfection rate of hepatitis C in HIV-1 positive men who have sex with men: A systematic review and meta-analysis

    PurposeA reduction of 80% in new Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is expected by 2030. However, high HCV reinfection rates have been reported among the high-risk population. This meta-analysis aimed to assess the HCV reinfection rate after successful treatment of HIV-1 coinfected MSM populations.MethodsBibliographic databases were searched and a random-effect model was utilized to calculate the pooled HCV reinfection rate. Sub-group and meta-regression were used to explore heterogeneity among selected studies. A funnel plot and Egger's regression test were performed to estimate the publication bias.ResultsSixteen studies with 9,017.2 person-years (PY) follow-up were included. The overall HCV reinfection rate following successful treatment among HIV-1-infected MSM was 5.27/100 PY (95% CI, 3.98, 6.96). Lower reinfection rates were observed in developed parts of Europe (5.28/100 PY; 95% CI, 3.73, 6.84) and North America (3.92/100 PY; 95% CI, 1.67, 6.17). Reinfection rates among people with HCV test intervals of fewer than 6 months (7.59/100 PY; 95% CI: 5.15, 10.03) were significantly higher than those with more than 6 months test interval (2.88/100 PY; 95% CI: 2.26, 3.50), with an adjusted RR of 1.86 (95% CI, 1.06, 3.13). The adjusted study factors explained 91.03% the of studies' heterogeneity.ConclusionHCV reinfection rate was high in successfully treated MSM who were coinfected with HIV-1. A shorter HCV test interval may help to explore more HCV reinfections.     Phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes for indoor illumination need to be warm-white (i.e., correlated color temperature \u3c4000 \u3eK) with good color rendition (i.e., color rendering index \u3e80). However, no single-phosphor, single-emitting-center-converted white light-emitting diodes can simultaneously satisfy the color temperature and rendition requirements due to the lack of sufficient red spectral component in the phosphors’ emission spectrum. Here, we report a new yellow Ba0.93Eu0.07Al2O4phosphor that has a new orthorhombic lattice structure and exhibits a broad yellow photoluminescence band with sufficient red spectral component. Warm-white emissions with correlated color temperature 80 were readily achieved when combining the Ba0.93Eu0.07Al2O4 phosphor with a blue light-emitting diode (440–470 nm). This study demonstrates that warm-white light-emitting diodes with high color rendition (i.e., color rendering index \u3e80) can be achieved based on single-phosphor, single-emitting-center conversion

    A tea bud segmentation, detection and picking point localization based on the MDY7-3PTB model

    IntroductionThe identification and localization of tea picking points is a prerequisite for achieving automatic picking of famous tea. However, due to the similarity in color between tea buds and young leaves and old leaves, it is difficult for the human eye to accurately identify them.MethodsTo address the problem of segmentation, detection, and localization of tea picking points in the complex environment of mechanical picking of famous tea, this paper proposes a new model called the MDY7-3PTB model, which combines the high-precision segmentation capability of DeepLabv3+ and the rapid detection capability of YOLOv7. This model achieves the process of segmentation first, followed by detection and finally localization of tea buds, resulting in accurate identification of the tea bud picking point. This model replaced the DeepLabv3+ feature extraction network with the more lightweight MobileNetV2 network to improve the model computation speed. In addition, multiple attention mechanisms (CBAM) were fused into the feature extraction and ASPP modules to further optimize model performance. Moreover, to address the problem of class imbalance in the dataset, the Focal Loss function was used to correct data imbalance and improve segmentation, detection, and positioning accuracy.Results and discussionThe MDY7-3PTB model achieved a mean intersection over union (mIoU) of 86.61%, a mean pixel accuracy (mPA) of 93.01%, and a mean recall (mRecall) of 91.78% on the tea bud segmentation dataset, which performed better than usual segmentation models such as PSPNet, Unet, and DeeplabV3+. In terms of tea bud picking point recognition and positioning, the model achieved a mean average precision (mAP) of 93.52%, a weighted average of precision and recall (F1 score) of 93.17%, a precision of 97.27%, and a recall of 89.41%. This model showed significant improvements in all aspects compared to existing mainstream YOLO series detection models, with strong versatility and robustness. This method eliminates the influence of the background and directly detects the tea bud picking points with almost no missed detections, providing accurate two-dimensional coordinates for the tea bud picking points, with a positioning precision of 96.41%. This provides a strong theoretical basis for future tea bud picking

    Visualization balloon occlusion-assisted technique in the treatment of large or giant paraclinoid aneurysms: A study of 17 cases series

    ObjectiveAlthough balloon-assisted techniques are valuable in aneurysm clipping, repeated angiography and fluoroscopy are required to understand the location and shape of the balloon. This study investigated the value of visualization balloon occlusion-assisted techniques in aneurysm hybridization procedures.MethodsWe propose a visualization balloon technique that injects methylene blue into the balloon, allowing it to be well visualized under a microscope without repeated angiography. This study retrospects the medical records of 17 large or giant paraclinoid aneurysms treated by a visualization balloon occlusion-assisted technique in a hybrid operating room. Intraoperative surgical techniques, postoperative complications, and immediate and long-term angiographic findings are highlighted.ResultsAll 17 patients had safe and successful aneurysm clipping surgery with complete angiographic occlusion. Under the microscope, the balloon injected with methylene blue is visible through the arterial wall. The position and shape of the balloon can be monitored in real time without repeated angiography and fluoroscopic guidance. Two cases of intraoperative visualization balloon shift and slip into the aneurysm cavity were detected in time, and there were no cases of balloon misclipping or difficult removal. Of 17 patients, four patients (23.5%) experienced short-term complications, including pulmonary infection (11.8%), abducens nerve paralysis (5.9%), and thalamus hemorrhage (5.9%). The rate of vision recovery among patients with previous visual deficits was 70% (7 of 10 patients). The mean follow-up duration was 32.76 months. No aneurysms or neurological deficits recurred among all patients who completed the follow-up.ConclusionOur study indicates that microsurgical clipping with the visualization balloon occlusion-assisted technique seems to be a safe and effective method for patients with large or giant paraclinoid aneurysms to reduce the surgical difficulty and simplify the operation process of microsurgical treatment alone
