Elastic model scale and material for underwater structure of cross-sea bridge
With the bridge construction gradually from inland to coast and offshore, underwater structure of cross-sea bridge can encounter more complex hydrodynamic action. When elastic model is used to simulate the hydrodynamic response of underwater structure, the model scale and model material is the first problem must be solved. Based on principle of similitude, elastic model should meet the geometric similarity, kinematic similarity and mechanical similarity. Formula derivation gives the scale conditions for elastic model are as follows, geometric scale (Lr) equals elastic modulus scale (Er) and density scale (??r) equals 1. Then, how to find a material with same density and the elastic modulus is 1/ Lr of prototype is the key to make a model
Coulomb scattering lifetime of a two-dimensional electron gas
Motivated by a recent tunneling experiment in a double quantum-well system,
which reports an anomalously enhanced electronic scattering rate in a clean
two-dimensional electron gas, we calculate the inelastic quasiparticle lifetime
due to electron-electron interaction in a single loop dynamically screened
Coulomb interaction within the random-phase-approximation. We obtain excellent
quantitative agreement with the inelastic scattering rates in the tunneling
experiment without any adjustable parameter, finding that the reported large
( a factor of six) disagreement between theory and experiment arises from
quantitative errors in the existing theoretical work and from the off-shell

Energy relaxation of an excited electron gas in quantum wires: many-body electron LO-phonon coupling
We theoretically study energy relaxation via LO-phonon emission in an excited
one-dimensional electron gas confined in a GaAs quantum wire structure. We find
that the inclusion of phonon renormalization effects in the theory extends the
LO-phonon dominated loss regime down to substantially lower temperatures. We
show that a simple plasmon-pole approximation works well for this problem, and
discuss implications of our results for low temperature electron heating

Based on events collected by BESII, the decay
is studied. In the invariant mass
spectrum recoiling against the charged , the charged
particle is found as a low mass enhancement. If a Breit-Wigner function of
constant width is used to parameterize the kappa, its pole locates at MeV/. Also in this channel,
the decay is observed for the first time.

Measurements of the observed cross sections for exclusive light hadrons containing at , 3.650 and 3.6648 GeV
By analyzing the data sets of 17.3, 6.5 and 1.0 pb taken,
respectively, at , 3.650 and 3.6648 GeV with the BES-II
detector at the BEPC collider, we measure the observed cross sections for
, , ,
and at the three energy
points. Based on these cross sections we set the upper limits on the observed
cross sections and the branching fractions for decay into these

Measurements of the observed cross sections for exclusive light hadron production in e^+e^- annihilation at \sqrt{s}= 3.773 and 3.650 GeV
By analyzing the data sets of 17.3 pb taken at GeV
and 6.5 pb taken at GeV with the BESII detector at the
BEPC collider, we have measured the observed cross sections for 12 exclusive
light hadron final states produced in annihilation at the two energy
points. We have also set the upper limits on the observed cross sections and
the branching fractions for decay to these final states at 90%

We report on a search for the decays J/Psi --> Ds- e+ nu_e + c.c., J/Psi -->
D- e+ nu_e + c.c., and J/Psi --> D0bar e+ e- + c.c. in a sample of 5.8 * 10^7
J/Psi events collected with the BESII detector at the BEPC. No excess of signal
above background is observed, and 90% confidence level upper limits on the
branching fractions are set: B(J/Psi --> Ds- e+ nu_e + c.c.)<4.8*10^-5, B(J/Psi
--> D- e+ nu_e + c.c.) D0bar e+ e- + c.c.)<1.1*10^-5Comment: 10 pages, 4 figure
Measurements of J/psi Decays into 2(pi+pi-)eta and 3(pi+pi-)eta
Based on a sample of 5.8X 10^7 J/psi events taken with the BESII detector,
the branching fractions of J/psi--> 2(pi+pi-)eta and J/psi-->3(pi+pi-)eta are
measured for the first time to be (2.26+-0.08+-0.27)X10^{-3} and
