In-orbit demonstration of X-ray pulsar navigation with the Insight-HXMT satellite
In this work, we report the in-orbit demonstration of X-ray pulsar navigation
with Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT), which was launched
on Jun. 15th, 2017. The new pulsar navigation method 'Significance Enhancement
of Pulse-profile with Orbit-dynamics' (SEPO) is adopted to determine the orbit
with observations of only one pulsar. In this test, the Crab pulsar is chosen
and observed by Insight-HXMT from Aug. 31th to Sept. 5th in 2017. Using the
5-day-long observation data, the orbit of Insight-HXMT is determined
successfully with the three telescopes onboard - High Energy X-ray Telescope
(HE), Medium Energy X-ray Telescope (ME) and Low Energy X-ray Telescope (LE) -
respectively. Combining all the data, the position and velocity of the
Insight-HXMT are pinpointed to within 10 km (3 sigma) and 10 m/s (3 sigma),
respectively.Comment: Accepted by the Astrophysical Journal Supplemen
Patterns of co-morbidity with anxiety disorders in Chinese women with recurrent major depression
BACKGROUND: Studies conducted in Europe and the USA have shown that co-morbidity between major depressive disorder (MDD) and anxiety disorders is associated with various MDD-related features, including clinical symptoms, degree of familial aggregation and socio-economic status. However, few studies have investigated whether these patterns of association vary across different co-morbid anxiety disorders. Here, using a large cohort of Chinese women with recurrent MDD, we examine the prevalence and associated clinical features of co-morbid anxiety disorders. METHOD: A total of 1970 female Chinese MDD patients with or without seven co-morbid anxiety disorders [including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, and five phobia subtypes] were ascertained in the CONVERGE study. Generalized linear models were used to model association between co-morbid anxiety disorders and various MDD features. RESULTS: The lifetime prevalence rate for any type of co-morbid anxiety disorder is 60.2%. Panic and social phobia significantly predict an increased family history of MDD. GAD and animal phobia predict an earlier onset of MDD and a higher number of MDD episodes, respectively. Panic and GAD predict a higher number of DSM-IV diagnostic criteria. GAD and blood-injury phobia are both significantly associated with suicidal attempt with opposite effects. All seven co-morbid anxiety disorders predict higher neuroticism. CONCLUSIONS: Patterns of co-morbidity between MDD and anxiety are consistent with findings from the US and European studies; the seven co-morbid anxiety disorders are heterogeneous when tested for association with various MDD features
Measurement of the chi_{c2} Polarization in psi(2S) to gamma chi_{c2}
The polarization of the chi_{c2} produced in psi(2S) decays into gamma
chi_{c2} is measured using a sample of 14*10^6 psi(2S) events collected by
BESII at the BEPC. A fit to the chi_{c2} production and decay angular
distributions in psi(2S) to gamma chi_{c2}, chi_{c2} to pi pi and KK yields
values x=A_1/A_0=2.08+/-0.44 and y=A_2/A_0=3.03 +/-0.66, with a correlation
rho=0.92 between them, where A_{0,1,2} are the chi_{c2} helicity amplitudes.
The measurement agrees with a pure E1 transition, and M2 and E3 contributions
do not differ significantly from zero.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, 1 tabl
Measurement of the branching fractions of psi(2S) -> 3(pi+pi-) and J/psi -> 2(pi+pi-)
Using data samples collected at sqrt(s) = 3.686GeV and 3.650GeV by the BESII
detector at the BEPC, the branching fraction of psi(2S) -> 3(pi+pi-) is
measured to be [4.83 +- 0.38(stat) +- 0.69(syst)] x 10^-4, and the relative
branching fraction of J/psi -> 2(pi+pi-) to that of J/psi -> mu+mu- is measured
to be [5.86 +- 0.19(stat) +- 0.39(syst)]% via psi(2S) -> (pi+pi-)J/psi, J/psi
-> 2(pi+pi-). The electromagnetic form factor of 3(pi+pi-) is determined to be
0.21 +- 0.02 and 0.20 +- 0.01 at sqrt(s) = 3.686GeV and 3.650GeV, respectively.Comment: 17pages, 7 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev.
