Endogenous gypsy insulators mediate higher order chromatin organization and repress gene expression in Drosophila
Chromatin insulators play a role in gene transcription regulation by defining chromatinboundaries. Genome-wide studies in Drosophila have shown that a large proportion of insulator sites are found in intergenic DNA sequences, supporting a role for these elements as boundaries. However, approximately 40% of insulator sites are also found in intragenic sequences, where they can potentially perform as yet unidentified functions. Here we show that multiple Su(Hw) insulator sites map within the 110 kb sequence of the muscleblind gene (mbl), which also forms a highly condensed chromatin structure in polytene chromosomes. Chromosome Conformation Capture assays indicate that Su(Hw) insulators mediate the organization of higher-order chromatin structures at the mbl locus, resulting in a barrier for the progression of RNA polymeraseII (PolII ), and producing a repressive effect on basal and active transcription. The interference of intragenic insulators in PolII progression suggests a role for insulators in the elongation process. Supporting this interpretation, we found that mutations in su(Hw) and mod(mdg4) also result in changes in the relative abundance of the mblD isoform, by promoting early transcription termination. These results provide experimental evidence for a new role ofintragenic Su(Hw) insulators in higher-order chromatin organization, repression of transcription, and RNA processing
Inverter System: A Solution to Improve the Efficiency of New Energy Generation in Factories
The report mainly analyzes whether the inverter system could improve the efficiency of converting new energy into factory electricity based on McLuhan's laws of media theory. Firstly, the report asserts the significance of using new energy and the importance of utilizing the inverter system to improve the power conversion of new energy in factories. Secondly, it mainly describes McLuhan's theory from four different aspects. In addition, according to the four aspects of McLuhan's theory, the rationality and feasibility of the inverter system solution are analyzed. Then, it is concluded that the inverter system can well improve the conversion efficiency of new energy generation in factories. Finally, this paper claims suggestions from two different perspectives to promote the development of the inverter system
An effective simulation analysis of transient electromagnetic multiple faults
Embedded encryption devices and smart sensors are vulnerable to physical attacks. Due to the continuous shrinking of chip size, laser injection, particle radiation and electromagnetic transient injection are possible methods that introduce transient multiple faults. In the fault analysis stage,
the adversary is unclear about the actual number of faults injected. Typically, the single-nibble fault analysis encounters difficulties. Therefore, in this paper, we propose novel ciphertext-only impossible differentials that can analyze the number of random faults to six nibbles. We use the impossible differentials to exclude the secret key that definitely does not exist, and then gradually obtain the
unique secret key through inverse difference equations. Using software simulation, we conducted 32,000 random multiple fault attacks on Midori. The experiments were carried out to verify the theoretical model of multiple fault attacks. We obtain the relationship between fault injection and information content. To reduce the number of fault attacks, we further optimized the fault attack method. The secret key can be obtained at least 11 times. The proposed ciphertext-only impossible differential analysis provides an effective method for random multiple faults analysis, which would
be helpful for improving the security of block ciphers
