The study of TIM polymer composite materials thermal conductivity

A recent trend in electronic technology deals with a sharp performance increase within decrease dimensions and mass of devices. High-performance thermal interface materials (TIM) primarily thermal pastes are indispensable to application. A number of filler materials: ceramics (aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, alumina) metals (aluminum, copper) and graphite were considered to apply. The data containing average particles size, specific surface area, and maximal volume and mass fraction for various materials was obtained. The thermal conductivity of samples with aluminum and graphite dramatically exceed values obtained within mathematical models' calculation. The highest thermal conductivity values were obtained for SiC (1.37 W/(m·K)), AlN (1.09 W/(m·K)), C (2.85 W/(m·K)) and Al (1.20 W/(m·K)), that mad the mentioned above materials the most promising for high-performance thermal pastes. © 2019 Author(s)

Сommunity-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is an acute infectious disease. Inflammation of the lower respiratory system, interstitium, and microvasculature, mainly of bacterial etiology, is a typical pathological sign of this disease. It is one of the leading causes of death from infectious diseases. The survey was conducted within the KNOCAP multicenter research project (the full name of the project “The assessment of students' and physicians' knowledge of community-acquired pneumonia basics”

The emergence of resistance among the most important bacterial pathogens is generally recognized as one of the major public health problems. The most important of these organisms are penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, vancomycin-resistant enterococci and methicillin- and vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. These antibiotic resistance in common pathogens have made antimicrobial therapy of many infections. Scientists need to look for new ways of treating bacterial infections in the work, using the developed algorithm from the methods of search software in the genomic structure of Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus ST228, the CRISPR/Cas locus and the division structures of its CRISPR cassette. The results of the bacteriophage search through the decoded spacer sequences of CRISPR-cassettes of this strain were also obtained using the developed algorithm of the software methods of bioinformatics. It was determined that the CRISPR/Cas system of strain of ST228 of S. aureus was of type IIIA. It is shown that cas-genes are in the immediate vicinity of CRISPR cassettes. The spacer structures in the detected CRISPR cassette are the Staphylococcus, Mycobacterium, Streptococcus, Bacillus, Gordonia, Arthrobacter, Streptomyces. The implementation of the algorithm of program methods for locating CRISPR/Cas-loci can be applied to many other decoded bacterial genomes to return bacteriophage therapy

Orthorexia nervosa and Instagram: exploring the Russian-speaking conversation around #opтopeкcия

This mixed-methods study explored the conversation around orthorexia nervosa (ON) on Instagram from a Russian-speaking perspective. Two quantitative data sources were implemented; a comparative content analysis of posts tagged with #opтopeкcия (n = 234) and #orthorexia (n = 243), and an online questionnaire completed by Russian-speakers (n = 96) sharing ON-related content on Instagram. Additionally, five questionnaire participants were interviewed, four of which identified with having (had) ON. Russian-speakers who share ON-related content on Instagram are primarily female, around their late-twenties, and prefer Instagram over other platforms. They describe people with ON as obsessed with correct eating, rather than healthy or clean eating. Instagram appears to have a dual effect; it has the potential to both trigger the onset of ON and encourage recovery. Positive content encourages a healthy relationship with food, promotes intuitive eating, and spread recovery advice. Harmful content, in turn, emphasizes specific diet and beauty ideals. Russian-speaking users mainly post pictures of food, followed by largely informative text that explains what ON is, and what recovery may look like. Their reasons for posting ON-related content are to share personal experiences, support others in recovery, and raise awareness about ON. Two main target audiences were people unaware of ON and people seeking recovery support. The relationship between ON and social media is not strictly limited to the global north. Thus, it may be valuable to further investigate non-English-speaking populations currently underrepresented in ON research. Level of evidence: Level V, descriptive study
