Effect of Financing on Profitability of Sawmill Industries in Cross River State, Nigeria

This study examined the Effect of Financing on Profitability of Sawmill Industries in Cross River State, Nigeria. The study was conducted at enterprise level in Cross River State with a sample of 80 saw millers to ascertain the effect of finance on their profitability. The result shows that amount borrowed business experience, level of education, cost of labour and extension visits were significantly influencing the profitability of saw millers. The study concluded that the entrepreneurs should be enlightened since the level of education impacted positively to profitability of the saw millers in the area.Keywords: financing, sawmill profitability, entrepreneur
