Anomalous mass dependence of radiative quark energy loss in a finite-size quark-gluon plasma
We demonstrate that for a finite-size quark-gluon plasma the induced gluon
radiation from heavy quarks is stronger than that for light quarks when the
gluon formation length becomes comparable with (or exceeds) the size of the
plasma. The effect is due to oscillations of the light-cone wave function for
the in-medium transition. The dead cone model by Dokshitzer and
Kharzeev neglecting quantum finite-size effects is not valid in this regime.
The finite-size effects also enhance the photon emission from heavy quarks.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figure
Transverse Spectra of Radiation Processes in Medium
We develop a formalism for evaluation of the transverse momentum dependence
of cross sections of the radiation processes in medium. The analysis is based
on the light-cone path integral approach to the induced radiation. The results
are applicable in both QED and QCD
Propagations of massive graviton in the deformed Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz gravity
We study massive graviton propagations of scalar, vector, and tensor modes in
the deformed Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz gravity by introducing Lorentz-violating mass
term. It turns out that vector and tensor modes are massively propagating on
the Minkowski spacetime background. However, adding the mass term does not cure
a ghost instability in the Ho\v{r}ava scalar.Comment: 17 pages, version with projectability requirement, to appear in PR
Nonuniversality Aspects of Nonlinear k_\perp-factorization for Hard Dijets
The origin of the breaking of conventional linear k_\perp-factorization for
hard processes in a nuclear environment is by now well established. The
realization of the nonlinear nuclear k_\perp-factorization which emerges
instead was found to change from one jet observable to another. Here we
demonstrate how the pattern of nonlinear k_\perp-factorization, and especially
the role of diffractive interactions, in the production of dijets off nuclei
depends on the color properties of the underlying pQCD subprocess.Comment: 4 pages, 1 eps-fi
