The role of small-medium enterprises (SMEs) and their contributions to the economy are well recognized in the literature. However, SMEs have been challenged by COVID-19. There are limited empirical findings suggesting how the government lockdown policy affected SME sustainability. This study investigated the sustainability of Indonesia's SMEs, and their social media adoption, financial literacy and financial access during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study also determined the effect of social media adoption, financial literacy, and financial access on SME sustainability. The resources-based theory was applied to understand the phenomena. Twenty-six SMEs operating in Pariaman city participated in this study. Variables were measured by a five- point Likert scale, and were analyzed descriptively. Furthermore, structural equation modelling was utilized, and in this case, smart-pls 3.2.8. was used. The results showed that the level of social media adoption was extremely low (mean = 2.20). The SMEs' financial literacy was adequate (mean = 3.56). SMEs could access financial resources (mean = 3.84). Finally, the sustainability of SMEs was extremely low (mean = 2.35). Also, out of the three latent independent variables (social media adoption, financial literacy, financial access), only social media adoption had a positively significant effect on SME sustainability. This study implies that SMEs should increase social media adoption to gain higher sustainability. The authority should help build SME capabilities in digital marketing so that they survive in this turbulent time. This study contributes to the resources-based theory because variation in SME sustainability was determined by the SMEs' resources, such as their digital marketing capability.  Keywords: SME sustainability, financial literacy, financial access, social media adoptio

This study investigates the tax aggressiveness in politically connected companies. Based on the relation-based system, politically connected companies tend to be more tax aggressiveness due to its benefit of being a tax aggressiveness. Using 625 companies-years observations, we reveal that politically connected companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange are likely to be more aggressive in tax. Applying the independent t test, however, there is no significant difference between politically connected companies and non-connected companies. The finding also indicate that the profitability is higher for politically connected companies rather than non-connected. Contract to profitability, politically connected companies' leverage is lower than nonconnected. This study has theoretical and practical implications and they discuss in detail in this article.     Keywords: Tax Aggressiveness, politically connected companies, Indonesi

Zakah compliance behaviour among Muzzaki has been discussed by academics and practitioners. However, less attention has been paid about how the compliance behaviour and what factors determine this Zakah compliance in Padang society. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the determinants of Zakah compliance behaviour from perspective of Theory of Planned Behaviour. Ten hypotheses are developed and tested in this study. Nine-four respondents filled and returned the questioner. Simple, multiple and hierarchal regression analysis are applied to gain the result. The result show that three hypotheses are accepted (i) perceived behaviour control has a significant effect on an intention to pay zakah, (ii) subjective norm has a significant relationship with zakah compliance behaviour, and (iii) an intention to pay zakah also has a significant impact on zakah compliance behaviour. Practically, the government can increase Ummah zakah compliance behaviour by improve an muzzaki's intention to pay zakah through reduce the barriers to pay zakah and improve successful factors. This study theoretically contribute to theory of planned behaviour partiall

This study seeks to investigate the effect of controllability and responsiveness on the perceived ease of e-learning use. This study also aims to determine the relationship between the perceived ease of e-learning use and the student's intention to participate in e- learning. This study extends the technology acceptance model by considering the external factors; controllability and responsiveness of e-learning system. Thirty-one students from Bung Hatta University were selected as research objects for this study, and three hypotheses were developed. SEM-PLS was applied to analyze the data and smart-pls 3.2.7 software was used to reject the null hypotheses. Having had a satisfied convergent and discriminant validity, this study demonstrates that the controllability and responsiveness of an e-learning system does not have a significant effect on the perceived ease of e-learning use. However, the relationship between the perceived ease of e-learning use and the students' intention to participate in e-learning is significantly positive. The practical and theoretical implications are discussed in this paper
