Fully differential W' production and decay at next-to-leading order in QCD
We present the fully differential production and decay of a W' boson, with
arbitrary vector and axial-vector couplings, to any final state at
next-to-leading order in QCD. We demonstrate a complete factorization of
couplings at next-to-leading order in both the partial width of the W' boson,
and in the full two-to-two cross section. We provide numerical predictions for
the contribution of a W' boson to single-top-quark production, and separate
results based on whether the mass of the right-handed neutrino (nu_R) is light
enough for the leptonic decay channel to be open. The single-top-quark analysis
will allow for an improved direct W' mass limit of 525-550 GeV using data from
run I of the Fermilab Tevatron. We propose a modified tolerance method for
estimating parton distribution function uncertainties in cross sections.Comment: 23 pages, revtex3, 13 ps fig

Observations on the life history of the sagebrush sheep moth, Hemileuca hera hera (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae)
This study was conducted principally to investigate the suggestion that length of growing season influences the length of development time (i.e. one-year versus two-year egg to adult period). Field-collected sagebrush sheep moth (H. hera hera) larvae were reared to obtain information on egg counts and length of life cycle. Field-collected larvae were reared in cages within the area from which the larvae had been collected to match closely the natural conditions. Results indicate that in south-central Washington, USA, an area having a relatively long growing season, H. hera hera generally exhibits a one year cycle, with some individuals emerging in the second year. Egg counts revealed a mean total number of eggs per female of 125 (range 64-168) and a mean number of eggs per ring of 28 for reared females and 31 for egg rings observed in the field. Our study indicates that while an extended, milder climate is a significant factor in a single season development time, other factors that have longer term survival significance may also play roles
Multilevel HRM systems and intermediating variables in MNCs: longitudinal case study research in Middle Eastern settings
This paper uses longitudinal case studies of HR reform within privatised Jordanian undertakings, with French parent companies, to analyse HRM knowledge transfer across geographical and ‘psychic’ boundaries, following business acquisitions in an emerging Middle Eastern economy. It does this by paying attention to organisational information and control mechanisms utilised by multinational companies (MNCs). The findings indicate that, when working across transcultural settings, MNC managers who pay attention to the intermediating influences of how the parties build common understanding and learn to work together affect the success of inter-unit knowledge transfer
POSIÇÃO CORPORAL E OXIGENAÇÃO PARTE I - PACIENTES COM DISFUNÇÃO PULMONAR UNILATERAL
No entanto, na posição deitada sobre o lado afetado, houve piora significativa da Pa02.The purpose of this study was to analyse the effects of sitting, supine and laterals positions on arterial oxygen tension (Pa02) and arterial carbon dioxide tension (PaC02), in 21 adults patients, carier of some pulmonary unilateral disfunction, in recent post-operative cardiac surgery. The diagnosis of the pulmonary disfunction was done through radiographic torax evaluation. The patients stayed during 15 minutes in each position and after this, the arterial blood gases were measured. Based on Friedman test and Multiple Comparation test (a = 0,05), it was found that the Pa02 was significantly higher when the patients were lying on the "healthy'' side or in supine position; the Pa02 was significantly lower when the patients where lying on the "sick" side. No significant changes in PaC02 were noted
