    Magnetic Moments of JP=3/2+J^P={3/2}^+ Pentaquarks

If the JPJ^P of Θ5+\Theta_5^+ and Ξ5−−\Xi_5^{--} pentaquarks is really found to be 12+{1\over 2}^+ by future experiments, they will be accompanied by JP=32+J^P={3\over 2}^+ partners in some models. It is reasonable to expect that these JP=32+J^P={3\over 2}^+ states will also be discovered in the near future with the current intensive experimental and theoretical efforts. We estimate JP=3/2+J^P={3/2}^+ pentaquark magnetic moments using different models.Comment: 13 page

    Heavy Pentaquarks

We construct the spin-flavor wave functions of the possible heavy pentaquarks containing an anti-charm or anti-bottom quark using various clustered quark models. Then we estimate the masses and magnetic moments of the JP=12+J^P={1\over 2}^+ or 32+{3\over 2}^+ heavy pentaquarks. We emphasize the difference in the predictions of these models. Future experimental searches at BESIII, CLEOc, BELLE, and LEP may find these interesting states

A multimodel fusion engine for filtering webpages

    Get PDF
© 2013 IEEE. Fusing multiple existing models for filtering webpages can mitigate the shortcomings of individual filtering models. To provide an engine for such fusion, we propose a multimodel fusion engine for filtering webpages for the extraction of target webpages. This engine can handle large datasets of webpages crawled from websites and supports five individual filtering models and the fusion of any two of them. There are two possible fusion methods: one is to simultaneously satisfy the conditions of both individual models, and the other is to satisfy the conditions of one of the two individual models. We present the functions, architecture, and software design of the proposed engine. We use recall ratio (RR) and precision ratio (PR) as the evaluation indices of the filtering models and propose rules describing how PR and RR change when individual models are fused. We use 200 000 webpages collected by crawling the popular online shopping website 'http://www.jd.com' as the experimental dataset to verify these rules. The experimental results show that two-model fusion can improve either PR or RR. Thus, the proposed engine has good practical value for engineering applications

Experimental study on solidification/stabilization of Cr in stainless steel pickling sludge by high temperature roasting process

For stainless steel pickling sludge (SSPS) produced in a stainless steel factory in southeast China, Fly ash (FA) and waste glass (WG) were used as solidification/stabilization (S/S) agents to conduct high-temperature roasting experiments on S/S of Cr in SSPS, respectively. The effects of roasting temperature and S/S agent dosage on the S/S of Cr were studied. The results show that both FA and WG can take positive way to S/S. By adding 25 % of FA to SSPS at roasting temperature of 1 500 °C, the Cr leaching concentration of S/S products can decrease to 0,63 ppm. As for WG as S/S agent, the Cr leaching concentration of the product can be reduced to 0,45ppm when the dosage is 20 % and the roasting temperature is 1 400 °C,. Considering the dosage and roasting temperature, WG is suggested as a better S/S agent

Verification of gyrokinetic particle simulation of current-driven instability in fusion plasmas. I. Internal kink mode

The gyrokinetic toroidal code (GTC) capability has been extended for simulating internal kink instability with kinetic effects in toroidal geometry. The global simulation domain covers the magnetic axis, which is necessary for simulating current-driven instabilities. GTC simulation in the fluid limit of the kink modes in cylindrical geometry is verified by benchmarking with a magnetohydrodynamic eigenvalue code. Gyrokinetic simulations of the kink modes in the toroidal geometry find that ion kinetic effects significantly reduce the growth rate even when the banana orbit width is much smaller than the radial width of the perturbed current layer at the mode rational surface

Transit premium and rent segmentation: A spatial quantile hedonic analysis of Shanghai Metro

    Get PDF
When measuring the betterment effect of public transit, most of the existing econometric research tends to use residential property price data and to focus on the conditional mean rather than the conditional variance in terms of the implicit price premium paid for access to public transit. However, because property sale price partly reflects speculation on future capital gains, it sheds little light on the renters' willingness-to-pay for living near public transportation facilities, let alone the variation in rent premium for transit proximity. We in this paper employ a spatial quantile hedonic regression method to gauge the rental impact of metro stations on a large sample of two-bedroom-one-bathroom (2b1b) apartments across 2575 residential complex communities (or “xiaoqu” in mandarin Chinese) in Shanghai, China, as observed between December 2012 and January 2013. We find: a) a community’s geographic adjacency to the nearest Shanghai Metro station tends to correlate positively with the xiaoqu’s average asking rent of 2b1b apartments, indicating a significant rent premium for transit proximity; b) although the transit premium fluctuates across the different rent levels, the variation is statistically insignificant, suggesting no evidence of transit-induced segmentation of the local private residential rental market. Apart from its policy implications, this paper demonstrates a US-China comparative perspective and a novel spatial quantile regression approach to test the segmentation effect of mass transit in a dynamic urban housing market
