Construction of Layer-Blocked Covalent Organic Framework Heterogenous Films via Surface-Initiated Polycondensations with Strongly Enhanced Photocatalytic Properties
Imine-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs) usually
show high
crystallinity and porosity, while vinyl-linked COFs have excellent
semiconducting properties and stability. Therefore, achieving the
advantages of imine- and vinyl-linkages in a single COF material is
highly interesting but remains challenging. Herein, we demonstrate
the fabrication of a layer-blocked COF (LB-COF) heterogeneous film
that is composed of imine- and vinyl-linkages through two successive
surface-initiated polycondensations. In brief, the bottom layer of
imine-linked COF film was constructed on an amino-functionalized substrate
via Schiff-base polycondensation, in which the unreacted aldehyde
edges could be utilized for initiating aldol polycondensation to prepare
the second layer of vinyl-linked COF film. The resultant LB-COF film
displays excellent ordering due to the crystalline templating effect
from the bottom imine-linked COF layer; meanwhile, the upper vinyl-linked
COF layer could strongly enhance its stability and photocatalytic
properties. The LB COF also presents superior performance in photocatalytic
uranium extraction (320 mg g–1), which is higher
than the imine-linked (35 mg g–1) and the vinyl-linked
(295 mg g–1) counterpart. This study provides a
novel surface-initiated strategy to synthesize layer-blocked COF heterogeneous
films that combine the advantages of each building block
DataSheet_1_L−shaped association of triglyceride glucose index and sensorineural hearing loss: results from a cross-sectional study and Mendelian randomization analysis.docx
BackgroundThe association between the sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) and triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index remains inadequately understood. This investigation seeks to elucidate the connection between the TyG index and SNHL.MethodsIn this cross-sectional study, we utilized datasets sourced from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). A comprehensive analysis was conducted on 1,851 participants aged 20 to 69, utilizing complete audiometry data from the NHANES database spanning from 2007 to 2018. All enrolled participants had accessible hearing data, and the average thresholds were measured and calculated as both low-frequency pure-tone average and high-frequency pure-tone average. Sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) was defined as an average pure tone of 20 dB or higher in at least one better ear. Our analysis involved the application of multivariate linear regression models to examine the linear relationship between the TyG index and SNHL. To delineate any non-linear associations, we utilized fitted smoothing curves and conducted threshold effect analysis. Furthermore, we conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study, leveraging genetic data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) on circulating lipids, blood glucose, and SNHL. The primary analytical method for the MR study was the application of the inverse-variance-weighted (IVW) approach.ResultsIn our multivariate linear regression analysis, a substantial positive correlation emerged between the TyG index and SNHL [2.10 (1.80-2.44), p −4). In addition, blood glucose was found to have a protective effect on SNHL (OR = 0.886, p = 1.012 × 10−2).ConclusionsAn L-shaped association was identified among the TyG index, fasting blood glucose, and SNHL in the American population. TyG index of more than 9.07 and blood glucose of more than 94 mg/dL were significantly and positively associated with SNHL risk, respectively.</p
Image_1_Prognostic signature construction of energy metabolism-related genes in pancreatic cancer.tiff
Pancreatic cancer is the 7th leading cause of cancer death worldwide, and its incidence and mortality rate have been on the rise in recent years in Western developed countries. The specificity of the disease and the lack of appropriate treatments have resulted in a 5-year overall survival rate of only 9%. In this study, we conducted a study based on the TCGA database and GEO database and analyzed using the energy metabolism gene set to establish a prognostic model with the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator to identify 7-genes prognostic signature, and the gene expression was verified by Real-time PCR. The model was validated using a risk score calculation, and the OS rates of the 7 genes were analyzed using one-way Cox regression. The prognostic relationship between vesicle-associated membrane protein 2 (VAMP2) and pancreatic cancer patients was analyzed by OS and progression-free survival, and the prognosis was found to be significantly worse in the high-expression group. A Nomogram showed that VAMP2 was an independent prognostic factor in pancreatic cancer. Gene set enrichment analysis showed that VAMP2 upregulation was enriched in pathways associated with immune response and that VAMP2 downregulation was enriched in metabolism-related pathways. The association of VAMP2 with immune cell infiltration was analyzed for the enrichment results, and VAMP2 was found to be positively associated with all 6 immune cells. The results of this study suggest that VAMP2 is an independent prognostic factor associated with energy metabolism in pancreatic cancer and may be involved in the immune response.</p

Enantioselective Total Synthesis of Spirotryprostatin A
In this paper, we disclosed a novel enantioselective
total synthesis
of spirotryprostatin A (1) in 15 steps with a 7.4% total
yield from commercially available 2-iodo-5-methoxyaniline and γ-butyrolactone.
The key step features of this synthesis include the copper-catalyzed
cascade reaction of o-iodoaniline derivatives with
alkynone to introduce the quaternary carbon stereocenter and an aza-Michael
tandem reaction to construct the spiro[pyrrolidine-3,3′-oxindole]
moiety
