This article considers the current problem of investigation the specific of specialized catalog of educational virtual communities. Peculiarities of catalogs of virtual communities are formed. This study provides a method of organization of catalog of virtual communities of educational direction. This method is based on a formal model of virtual communities as an environment of information activity of the higher educational institutions. The result of the research is the method of socio-demographic characteristics identification of virtual communities' members. The formal models of internet-resources as an object of information activities mostly carried out in researches of internet-catalogs construction are formed. Thus, the primary task of this work is to develop the method of cataloging of virtual communities of educational direction and development of architecture and methods of organization of such catalog

Analytical method to improve the decision-making criteria approach in managing digital social channels

    No full text
This study explores the decision-making process involved in managing digital communities in the digital social channel ecosystem, specifically in the context of antagonistic digital communication and harmful content dissemination. The rise of digital communities in social media has changed the way people interact with each other, form communities, and participate in social activities. However, these interactions can also lead to conflicts, and the dissemination of harmful content can pose a risk to users' information security. This research proposes a method to mitigate these issues and optimize efficacy while minimizing potential hazards. The proposed method is based on the analysis of the information situation in the management of digital communities under conditions of complete uncertainty, antagonistic behaviour, and partial uncertainty. The study examines the decision-making process involved in antagonistic interaction among users of digital social channels. The methods proposed in this research were implemented to prevent the adverse consequences of community conflicts and the dissemination of potential risks to the security of users' information through prompt and efficacious decision-making. The proposed strategy optimizes efficacy through the implementation of the Wald criteria while minimizing potential hazards by adhering to the Savage criteria. Additionally, the Hurwitz criteria, which presents a balanced approach incorporating both the maximum and minimum criteria, was also employed. The methods were tested within the online community present on the social media platform, Facebook social networks, and the results demonstrate that the suggested technique improves the effectiveness and validity of managers' decisions in digital communities. The study also highlights the use of social networks and the virtual sphere as tools for hybrid warfare on the internet, which can be effective. Effective community management is necessary to mitigate the negative effects of online interactions, and the proposed method offers a valuable tool for managers to make informed decisions and prevent adverse consequences

Model of Smart Locating Application for Small Businesses

    No full text
This paper presents a solution for small businesses to gather statistics on the presence of their customers in and around their institutions, using Bluetooth technology. The solution includes a model of a mobile system based on Bluetooth technology that can provide information about the detectable devices’ relative position to create statistics on users’ presence in a specific timeframe. The research conducted shows that Bluetooth technology can be efficiently used to log the user’s relative position. This paper proposes a two-component system, which includes a mobile application and a cloud-based database with a simple online query interface. The prototype was implemented for the Android operating system and confirms the feasibility of the proposed solution. The developed prototype application was designed as a foundation for further commercial development. The proposed solution provides small businesses with an accessible way of collecting data on the presence of people without having to buy specialized equipment

Intelligent Academic Specialties Selection in Higher Education for Ukrainian Entrants: A Recommendation System

    No full text
In this article, we provide an approach to solve the problem of academic specialty selection in higher educational institutions with Ukrainian entrants as our target audience. This concern affects operations at universities or other academic institutions, the labor market, and the availability of in-demand professionals. We propose a decision-making architecture for a recommendation system to assist entrants with specialty selection as a solution. The modeled database is an integral part of the system to provide an in-depth university specialties description. We consider developing an API to consume the data and return predictions to users in our future studies. The exploratory data analysis of the 2021 university admission campaign in Ukraine confirmed our assumptions and revealed valuable insights into the specifics of specialty selection among entrants. We developed a comprehension that most entrants apply for popular but not necessarily in-demand specialties at universities. Our findings on association rules mining show that entrants are able to select alternative specialties adequately. However, it does not lead to successful admission to a desired tuition-free education form in all cases. So, we find it appropriate to deliver better decision-making on specialty selection, thus increasing the likelihood of university admission and professional development based on intelligent algorithms, user behavior analytics, and consultations with academic and career orientation experts. The results will be built into an intelligent virtual entrant’s assistant as a service

    No full text
In this article, we have explored methods for the strategic management of web projects. By introducing a long-term web project development strategy into the operation of a web project, mechanisms can be developed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the web project. An important factor is to develop a strategy taking into account all possible crisis situations and ways out of these situations. The authors analyzed and simulated the web project structure, working out methods of web project strategy realization and implementation in a crisis situation. Additionally, in this article, the authors have presented the model for the strategic map of the balanced scorecard of a web project. The authors tested the developed methods on six web projects of university departments. The received results confirmed the appropriateness and necessity of the development and implementation of methods of the strategic management of web projects

The Covid-19 crisis lockdown caused rapid transformation to remote working/learning modes and the need for e-commerce-, web-education-related projects development, and maintenance. However, an increase in internet traffic has a direct impact on infrastructure and software performance. We study the problem of accurate and quick web-project infrastructure issues/bottleneck/overload identification. The research aims to achieve and ensure the reliability and availability of a commerce/educational web project by providing system observability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methods. In this research, we propose methods for technical condition assessment by applying the correlation of user-engagement score and Service Level Indicators (SLIs)/Service Level Objectives (SLOs)/Service Level Agreements (SLAs) measurements to identify user satisfaction types along with the infrastructure state. Our solution helps to improve content quality and, mainly, detect abnormal system behavior and poor infrastructure conditions. A straightforward interpretation of potential performance bottlenecks and vulnerabilities is achieved with the developed contingency table and correlation matrix for that purpose. We identify big data and system logs and metrics as the central sources that have performance issues during web-project usage. Throughout the analysis of an educational platform dataset, we found the main features of web-project content that have high user-engagement and provide value to services’ customers. According to our study, the usage and correlation of SLOs/SLAs with other critical metrics, such as user satisfaction or engagement improves early indication of potential system issues and avoids having users face them. These findings correspond to the concepts of SRE that focus on maintaining high service availability
