    Nonlinear vibration of hypoid gear with backlash

    Due to the machining errors, alignment error, wear, tear and time varying stiffness of hypoid teeth, the vibration of hypoid gears is inevitably produced in the course of working, and its vibration and noise is the main sources of vibration and noise in the automobile transmission. Study on nonlinear vibration and noise of the hypoid gear pair, and investigating on reducing its vibration and noise are of great significance. Firstly, a simplified nonlinear vibration model of the hypoid gears of main reducer, with considering the time-varying teeth stiffness and teeth surface friction damping, was established. Then, a numerical simulation method was employed to simulate different gear backlash effects on the hypoid gear vibration behaviors caused by the gear worn, and effects on the gear non-linear vibration from different work speeds of gear and different loading torques were investigated. In order to help to explain the non-linear vibration phenomenon of the hypoid gears, the 2-D phase plane diagram and the 3-D trajectory were employed.     Vibration modes of the rotor system of turbocharger with floating-ring bearing

    In this paper, in order to investigate the natural modes of the rotor system of turbocharger, the analytical model of floating-ring bearing, the FEM and modal test technology were employed. Firstly, based on Reynolds equations of the dynamic oil layer of floating-ring bearing, the oil layer pressure was obtained by using the finite difference algorithm. Then the stiffness coefficients and damping coefficients were calculated by using integration method. Next the FEM model of rotor system with supporting stiffness of floating-ring bearings was established. Then the natural modes of rotor system were simulated with considering the oil layer stiffness of the floating-ring bearings and the rotor’s rotating speeds. Lastly, the natural modes were identified with modal test technology and furthermore the FEM calculation results were verified. The investigation shows that the oil layer stiffness of the floating-ring bearings and rotating speeds of the rotor have great influences on vibration modes of the rotor system

    Blockchain-Based Multistage Continuous Authentication for Smart Devices

    With the increasing connectivity between multiple smart devices in the Internet of Vehicles, privacy and security have become stringent threats due to unauthorized access. To overcome this issue, designing continuous authentication systems has become an important research topic because of the advantages of continuous monitoring of users after the initial access to the smart devices. Unfortunately, the existing systems are based on a third-party centralized structure, and most of them suffer storage pressure on equipment, thus resulting in significant security hazards and limited performance. In this paper, we propose a multistage continuous authentication system based on blockchain technology and the IPFS, which achieves decentralization and reduces storage pressure. In the first stage of authentication, we adopt Hyperledger Fabric to implement the underlying technical architecture of the blockchain to enhance the security and reliability of identity parameters. The preoutputs of the first-stage authentication are compared against behavioral biometric characteristics stored in the IPFS that aim to accomplish the final authentication. In particular, we use fuzzy extractors to deal with behavioral biometric feature templates, thus solving the privacy problem caused by user information leakage. To evaluate the security of our system, we prove the correctness of the communication protocol and two-way authentication of the scheme using BAN Logic. Furthermore, we use Hyperledger Caliper to analyze the impact of the sending rate of authentication requests on various performance parameters such as throughput, memory, and CPU utilization of the authentication system. Security and experimental results show that: (i) We solve the problem of centralized authentication and can resist replay attacks. (ii) Our scheme can maintain high throughput and effectively reach consensus. Compared to related works, the throughput is improved by 8.6%

    Abstract Ion‐sensitive field effect transistor (ISFET) sensor is a hot topic these years, playing the combined roles of signal recognizer and converter for (bio)chemical analytes. In this review article, the basic concept, origination, and history of the ISFET sensor are presented. In addition, the common fabrication processes, the most‐used working principle (potentiometric, amperometric, and impedancemetric), and the techniques of gate functionality (physical, chemical, and biological) are discussed introducing the afterward signal transfer processes from ISFET to the terminals through different types of circuits. At last, the development and recent progress (until 2021) of ions and biomolecules (DNA molecules, antibodies, enzymatic substrates, and cell‐related secretions or metabolism) were introduced together with the outlook and facing obstacles (Debye screening, the wearability of ISFET, the multiplexed detections) before the commercialization of ISFET. This review article emphasizes the advantages of the developed ISFET sensors as miniaturization, low‐cost, all‐solid, highly sensitive, and easy operation for portable and multiplexed detections
