Generation and reduction of nitrogen oxides in firing different kinds of fuel in a circulating fluidized bed

The processes through which nitrogen oxides are generated and reduced in the course of firing different kinds of fuel in a circulating fluidized bed are addressed. All experimental studies were carried by the authors on their own laboratory installations. To construct a model simulating the generation of nitrogen oxides, the fuel combustion process in a fluidized bed was subdivided into two stages: combustion of volatiles and combustion of coke residue. The processes through which nitrogen oxides are generated and reduced under the conditions of firing fuel with shortage of oxygen (which is one of efficient methods for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions in firing fuel in a fluidized bed) are considered. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Inc

Assessment of indicators of heat supply reliability in Sverdlovsk Region

Проведен анализ информации по авариям на котельных и тепловых сетях муниципальных образований Свердловской области за шесть лет. Показано, что факторами, определяющими среднегодовое количество аварий на тепловых сетях, являются протяженность тепловых сетей и доля сетей, нуждающихся в замене, а факторами, определяющими аварийность теплоисточников - их количество и доля котельных мощностью менее 3 Гкал/час. Проанализировано соответствие фактической аварийности нормативным значениям, выявлены муниципальные образования с повышенной аварийностью тепловых сетей и котельных для разработки соответствующих муниципальных программ повышения надежности.Information about breakdowns at boiler plants and heat-supply networks of Sverdlovsk region municipalities is summarized. It is proven that the factors causing the average number of breakdowns of heat-supply networks are their length and percentage of networks that need to be repaired or substituted; whereas factors causing breakdowns at boiler plants are their number and share of boilers with the capacity lower than 3GCal per hour. It is checked if actual breakdowns correspond to the standard figures; municipalities with an increased number of breakdowns are named in order to create certain municipal programmes aimed at reliability increase

Conceptual model of the regional heat supply system reformation

Разработана модель оценки экономической эффективности комплексных программ реформирования систем теплоснабжения муниципальных образований, включающих в себя как проекты ресурсо- и энергосбережения теплоснабжающих компаний, так и проекты снижения потребления тепловой энергии у конечных потребителей, на основе соблюдения принципа доступности услуги теплоснабжения. Приведена система уравнений, позволяющая произвести оценку возможности и эффективности привлечения частных инвестиций в указанные комплексные программы. Для конкретного муниципального образования произведена экономическая оценка эффективности комплексной программы, целью которой является снижение платежей потребителей за тепловую энергию.The model of economic efficiency evaluation of heat supply systems complex reformation projects in municipalities is put forward in the article. This model includes both resource and energy saving projects of heat-supplying companies and projects decreasing thermal energy consumption by end users while observing the principle of accessibility of heat supply service. A system of equations is provided that lets to assess the availability and efficiency of private investments attraction to indicated complex programmes. Economic evaluation of efficiency of a complex programme targeted at thermal energy spendings decrease is performed for a certain municipality
