In the article the characteristic of medico-demographic deaths caused by renal cancer among the population of Krasnoyarsk region is given. There are results of research with use of modern approaches of losses of health definition. The evaluation of medico-demographic deaths caused by renal cancer among the population of Krasnoyarsk region for the period 2010–2012 with using DALY method was produced. The largest difference in values of the indicator DALY was observed between male and female population in 2011 by a factor of 4,7. The maximum gap in DALY indicator between male and female population was observed in the group of 55–59 years. More than half of DALY deaths among male involve working ageДана характеристика медико-демографических потерь от рака почки среди населения Красноярского края.

The features of expression of translocator protein (TSPO) and cytochrome P450scc (CYP 450scc) in patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) were described in the article. The dependence of level expression of TSPO from stage and histological subtypes of renal cell carcinoma were established. The changing of expression level of CYP 450scc in tumor cells indicates a change of severity of steroidogenesis in different histological subtypes of RCC. These findings were important for interpretation the pathogenesis of RCC and also they could have prognostic valueОписаны особенности экспрессии белка-транслокатора (TSPO) и цитохрома P450scc (CYP 450scc) у больных почечно-клеточным раком (ПКР).

Mucosis fungoides (Sezary syndrome) is a rare disease. Because of polymorphism of clinical manifestations that mimic benign diseases of the skin, it often takes several years before the disease is diagnosed. The paper presents a clinical case of progressive mucosis fungoides with unfavorable outcome. The diagnosis of mycosis fungoides was first suspected on the basis of laboratory studies of peripheral blood.

Abstract: paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis (PLE) is clinical form of paraneoplastic neurological syndrome, an autoimmune disorder of the central nevrous system. The incidence of PLE is about 3 cases per 1,000 patients with cancer. PLE is characterized by acute or subacute development of memory disorders, symptomatic epilepsy, psychiatric disorders. The authors present the current data on the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of PLE, a clinical case of symptomatic epilepsy in the 38-year-old man with PLE associated with testicular cancer

DIFFERENTIATION OF RETINAL ASTROCYTIC HAMARTOMA FROM OTHER RETINAL NEOPLASMS: A CASE REPORT

Astrocytic retinal hamartoma (phacoma, astrocytoma) is a benign tumor, formed through proliferation of glial astrocytes and blood vessels of the sensory part of the retina. For the first time, eye involvement in tuberous sclerosis (TS) was described by J. van der Hoeva, Dutch ophthalmologist in 1921. A characteristic glial tumor is still considered a classic manifestation of this disease, however, retinal astrocytoma can be observed in practically healthy young people or children. We present the case of a 19-year-old woman diagnosed with multiple retinal hamartomas in the right eye. In addition to ophthalmoscopy, we used the additional diagnostic methods to determine the form of hamartomas (calcined or uncalcined) and differentiate astrocytic retinal hamartoma from other tumors of the retina and choroid as well as to exclude pathological changes in the central nervous system
